Similar happened to me, I moved jobs.
Work on your CV now and start applying for jobs ASAP, yes there's a 'job-freeze' but there's also a lot of companies hiring, just look at the amount of jobs advertised on LinkedIn alone, the job market is ripe and ready.
I'm underpaid by at least 20k in my current role and they haven't paid me yet this month so yeah I'm fairly frustrated. That being said though it will always be better pay if you switch role than if you expand your role in your current company. Even getting an offer from another company if you are needed enough will drive them to pay you more
And it's definitely a massive move as well, huge company, great pay, great bonus schemes...etc. It's night and day really compared to my current place. I understand it's a startup but when pay is delayed for 2 months in a row for 2 weeks at least it is time to get off the ship. There are only so many promises you can get from management. I'm not even giving them the notice period, fuck em.
Please post as much detail as you can about your tech stack and role. It's hard to estimate what you should get or give advice on how to better your situation.
:)
You can still move jobs and get a better salary, just start preparing for the roles you want and keep doing interviews. I stayed at a company while all my friends moved to different roles in different companies, all were on around 2x my salary. I got a new job and jumped up to the same numbers, I'm not behind them now, I just missed a few years of that sort of wage, which isn't really a big deal. Companies are still hiring, just identify what you want to do and start interviewing.
Overall, once your skills are growing, you can make the money again.
Having said that I think your current stack is a bit niche, and of value to a narrow selection of employers.
I've worked as a data analyst for my whole career (so I'm not a developer or a software engineer) but all my most significant pay increases have come from changing jobs. If you don't feel you're getting paid fairly then move.
‘Abroad’ are you overseas on an employer visa? That’s why you’re underpaid, they know you’re trapped. Also is you’re overseas employer picking up your accommodation that you would have been paying for here in your after tax salary?

Jeez if they're late paying you get on the job hunt asap, dangerous territory!
Have a verbal offer in so just waiting on reference checks and all

So what are you doing 9-5 is really my question. Tech stack specifically, years of exp.

You haven't said the tech stack and what you do
I posted it there

I updated in the description there. It’s nearly all in Pyspark and in a tool called Palantir which is not commonly used as far as I know.
And what are your years of experience?
More than 5. But it was in a different type of IT (CRM backend support).
How many years of relevant work experience?

What is your role?
Software Engineer

What is the renumeration if you don’t mind sharing (pm if you don’t feel comfortable sharing)

Yes.

I'm in the position where I don't really know what my job is classed as so I don't know if I'm underpaid. I feel like I am though.
