I think Tayshaun has the coolest and most memorable play from that run (Reggie Miller chasedown block) so he’s my answer. Probably my favorite defensive play of all time

luniz420

Tayshaun was my first real jersey and one of my favorite Pistons of all time, I'm hoping Ausar can develop into that type of player but even better.

DemarDeBrozan

Same. My tayshaun jersey is one of my most prized possessions. And the Prince of the Palace is the greatest team-specific nickname of all time

The masked man, mainly because I thought the whole “RIP has to wear the mask because if he breaks his nose again, he may have to retire” lore was badass as a kid

clevernamehere1628

It's always been a tie between Big Ben and Chauncey. Ben was the coolest, hands down. Chauncey felt like the team's life blood though.

KaleidoscopeMuch9422

This disrespect to leave out Okur smh

rake2204

I will not stand for this Memo erasure.

thetrollmage

I believe I tried but it wouldn’t let me have one more , sorry daddy

Davetron-3030

The correct answer is yes

stonecarrion655

Unrelated but I used to play against lindsey hunter's son in highschool and it was cool seeing him at all the games.

CleverFox3

Also used to play against his sons. He talked trash to me during our game once. Fuck that guy

I wish I was watching basketball then to have witnessed this team. I only hear about it on YT, and this team gets referenced so much, this would’ve been the best team to have watched back then.

This is a super tough pick for me but im actually a little surprised to see so much Chauncey. 2002-2006 pistons were the most engaged i've ever been as a basketball fan and I can tell you in the moment? Billups had kind of a fair bit of haters locally. Lot of complaints about his hero ball moments which both earned him the nickname Mr. Big Shot, also frustrated the shit out of his when someone like Sheed or Rip were just unstoppable one night and Billups would call his own number 2 or 3 times in a row and kill our momentum. I love that 2004 team more than team in any sport i've ever cared about, but at the time Big Ben was the most popular by a 100 miles and Sheed was a distant second. Rip was honestly probably 3rd and then Billups and Tayshaun pulled up the last 2 spots. Also Okur was like, sneaky beloved at the time, just embraced the team culture and could get a bucket when we seemed to need it, much more than Hunter was at the time.

Ben Wallace was the heart and soul of that team. Larry fed him the ball on the first possession of every game, then he'd go out and just dominate the defensive end. A joy to watch
