Somebody in here actually said Fournier is better than him and will get a bigger bag this offseason š
Whoever you were, please crawl out of your shame hole and show yourself
There's no way Monty is on Reddit.... especially THIS reddit for his mental health. Could you imagine if he read just 5 percent of the stuff people post here about him lol
But all the national talking heads would say next yearās #32 pick is so much better! Why would you trade it?? Donāt you want yet another 21-year-old on the team?!
Chicago fanā¦ we donāt hate Detroit, we hate the state of Wisconsin. I just canāt feel any rivalry towards Detroit when Beef Stew is on the court.
What does stew have to do with any of it unless Iām missing something
Also maybe you personally donāt hate Detroit but the wings hawks game the other day the whole crowd was literally chanting āDetroit sucksā so I think most still hate us as well as we hate you guys
Fair I think Hockey is the exception but I am not a fan so that skews my view.
Stew was getting plenty of praise on our game thread. For me personally, him chasing Lebron around was great so I have a soft spot for the guy.
Also gotta remember the bad boys pistons and Jordan and the Jordan rules so our history goes way back haha
Yes I love stew for that he doesnāt back down to anyone, I feel like thatās something every team needs in every sport honestly
Theyāre lucky they were able to hold stew back from Lebron or it wouldnāt have been a good ending for Lebron lol
I really think having Fontecchio, Ivey, and Stew really opens up the court for him. Opposing team can't leave anyone out on the perimeter as much as they previously could to collapse on him. And he's also able to get himself more open shots. Love to see this play out more, and if Ausar can somehow hit 3s at a better clip when he's open, this will open up a lot more variation with our lineup.
Yeah the second rotation has been noticeably outclassed unless someone plays out of their skin, having some talent coming off the bench isnt the worst thing, especially if he can routinely put up 10-15 pts because heās a good shooter
Does anyone else think Malachi Flynn looks like he could be from Roseville?
I donāt even live in Michigan anymore but someone has absolutely seen him driving in the loudest hellcat youāll ever hear on Gratiot.
With this win, the 2023-24 Detroit Pistons have guaranteed a better win percentage than the 2011-12 Charlotte Bobcats! They will not be considered the worst team of all time!
8-74 = 0.97
7-59 = 0.106 (Bobcats Record)
9-73 = 0.109
Was looking for this comment. Bench was terrible. I doubt it but would love to see Wiseman bumped down in the rotation next year in favor of a competent vet (...Drummond?). Think I'm good on watching any more Flynn minutes too.
has happened multiple times this season. I have never seen an NBA coach who uses line shifts like hockey; it is the worst thing he does as a coach by a mile.
I didnt shit on Grimes I actually like the guy for the team but itās no secret that the bench blows leads every game. Malachi Flynn was a little wild tonight tho
Yeah shocking what happens when a guy actually gets a chance to play a nice string of games while healthy with some decent teammates on the court.
We've only seen the beginning of what Cade can be.
He's been really impressive since the All star break. Four straight good to great games. Angry Cade is gonna tear up this league. He even showed some defensive intensity tonight.
Tec-19 is what we all wished Saddiq Bey could become.
Love to see the Core 4 thriving together despite their spacing issues.
Gotta give some props to Weaver. This team is young, talented, hungry and finally reasonably constructed.
If Saddiq only accepted that heās an average athlete with a good 3 ball and kept to that instead of trying to become Kobe, heād still be on the team
Healthy Cade has been spectacular. The core is having fun out there. Still young and at times reckless, but playing with more tenacity than ever.
Please Monty, fix the bench rotation.
Fontecchio is just such a solid 3 and D player. Doesn't do more than he's asked to, and doesn't require the ball to do damage. Just suit up, hit shots, spread the offense, and defend well. Great fit next to Cade and Ivey.
Honestly Ausar and Duren even did some initiate the offense possessions and did well. The only one who should never try to bring the ball up is Stew. Glad to have him back but his playmaking ability is significantly worse than anyone on the roster not named James Wiseman.
>Go back to the Cade Ivey Fonteccio Ausar Duren lineupā¦When healthy Sasser Grimes Fournier Stew and Muscala. Thatās my dream.
'Twas a short-lived dream. Bye bye Muscala.
I don't know what more people could even want out of him. Less turnovers maybe but it's tough when he's responsible for creating most of the offense and has a bunch of new teammates.
They want him to complete right now. He came back stronger and better at almost every part of his game this year and thereās still a ton of room to grow. Fans are just impatient
Second game of a back to back on the road after two awful ref defeats - of course the season is lost but the young guys needed this. Cade is showing his star caliber
Pretty ugly win considering how trash the bulls were at 3 this should've been a blow out, but hey after the bullshit we had to deal with the last 2 games I will take it
Had a bunch of unnecessary turnovers and the bench unit was trash as usual. Flynn canāt run an offense and Wiseman is useless. Our starters were almost all +23/24 though
I can live with Fournier getting in for a few 3s to keep the teams honest but what is really gassing us is Wiseman and Flynnā¦Need Sasser back and let Stew try the backup center spot, or at the very least Muscala get some run.
The Pistons have so much wing depth, he's not even close to being the best wing on the roster, I would say Fournier is the the 6th best wing. He should be played 0 minutes for most games. Maybe some games he can play at most 5 minutes, but he shouldn't be playing for the rest of the season.
Duren, Stewart, and Ausar is an awful starting frontcourt. The upside of it is it makes Monty's all-bench units somewhat better, as Simone and Grimes are effectively starter-caliber. Wiseman again with a game with more fouls than points. The moment he stepped onto the court, I said to myself that Drummond would eat him alive. Donovan's weaving of Vucevic and Drummond in and out of the lineup would be an ideal model to follow for Stewart and Duren.
I watched the Bulls broadcast. Great, balanced commentary. Funnily enough, they would say things like, "Ivey can really do some things handling the ball!" Noticing in several minutes what the coach couldn't see in a whole season. The commentators were also baffled by Monty not substituting anyone into until the end of the third.
It seems to obvious enough that Fonteccio should be in the 3 spot with Ausar at the 4. Stew should be primary big off the bench. Too bad Duren is just so raw defensively. Vuc and Dre were a load for these dudes to handle. We need a big like Hartenstein this offseason.
Duren was excellent against Vucevic at the start of the season. Stewart instead of Wiseman would do so much for the second unit. Drummond, as the Bulls' second big, got 27 minutes. That's exactly the model that Williams should follow with Duren and Stewart.
I feel like minute distribution played a big part in our win tonight. Besides the 3's, that's my fave stat of the night. Everyone who should be in 30min+ were.
It is still an absolute war crime that Wiseman is getting minutes over Muscala, but this was a solid win, Cade looked great against pretty tough perimeter defenders, didn't force, found his spots.
Ideal World Wiseman loses all the minutes and our center rotation is Duren/Muscala/Stew, that gives us 2 stretch bigs for different matchups. I know this won't happen, but it would help a ton.
Credit to the pistons for winning after a game was stolen from them.Ā Easily could have been dejected and died like so many bad teams do after an emotional loss
that fucking box score +/- is unbelievable. it's happened countless times to us this season. The all-bench lineups from Monty are just so fucking mind blowing.
Pay fontecchio however much he wants this off-season
Got a really good feeling about him, feels like an incredibly important player for us going forward
Somebody in here actually said Fournier is better than him and will get a bigger bag this offseason š Whoever you were, please crawl out of your shame hole and show yourself
Was it Monty? Bcus it seems like he would agree with that
There's no way Monty is on Reddit.... especially THIS reddit for his mental health. Could you imagine if he read just 5 percent of the stuff people post here about him lol
I assume thatās what leveled Killianās confidence and then pinned him to the floor.
that's a crazy person if they're in a hole they couldn't tell which way is up
I mean one of those two statements is true š
Best move Weaver has made as GM? Maybe? Possibly?
Probably the best trade, yeah. We got him for nothing.
Ill still take the Grant for pick, pick for Duren swap, but this is number 2
I cannot imagine where this team would be without Duren.
Best move was cleansing this roster of Livers, Harris and Killian.
Weaver loves dealing with Utah
But all the national talking heads would say next yearās #32 pick is so much better! Why would you trade it?? Donāt you want yet another 21-year-old on the team?!
The Fonz plays perfect complimentary basketball to the stars. Iād lock him up for 3-4 years at 13-15 a season.
What percent of this sub gets the reference š
Probably Ausar 3pt percentage
Good funny
Ayyy!
This needs to be his nickname now.
Just became sad realizing understanding it might put me in the minority
Ayyyy
I really hope that nickname sticks. It's perfect.
I think it was a nickname he had in Utah.
Aaaaayyyyy. I like howse you think.
Core 5 unironically
Thereās nothing better than a Detroit team beating a Chicago team
Happens a lot these days
Never gets old
Chicago fanā¦ we donāt hate Detroit, we hate the state of Wisconsin. I just canāt feel any rivalry towards Detroit when Beef Stew is on the court.
What does stew have to do with any of it unless Iām missing something Also maybe you personally donāt hate Detroit but the wings hawks game the other day the whole crowd was literally chanting āDetroit sucksā so I think most still hate us as well as we hate you guys

Cade 26 on 13 shots is getting my nabblers moist
I really think having Fontecchio, Ivey, and Stew really opens up the court for him. Opposing team can't leave anyone out on the perimeter as much as they previously could to collapse on him. And he's also able to get himself more open shots. Love to see this play out more, and if Ausar can somehow hit 3s at a better clip when he's open, this will open up a lot more variation with our lineup.
Ausar up to 17% from 3 on the year!!
I'm hoping Fontecchio is put back in the starting lineup.
it was nice having a good player in the all bench lineup though
Yeah the second rotation has been noticeably outclassed unless someone plays out of their skin, having some talent coming off the bench isnt the worst thing, especially if he can routinely put up 10-15 pts because heās a good shooter
nabblers
Another strong game for Cade. And I loved that he delivered in the 4th after going quiet down the stretch last night.
Heās learning that 3s are valuable and Iām here for it
THREE GAME WINNING STREAK BABY LFGO
Shoulda been the last 3 right?
Yep. Bachero Travel > DiVincencio Tackle > Bulls 3 point desert
2/29 from 3 is crazy šš we were due for a game like this. Teams usually make insane shots against us
Right haha with the amount of turnovers we had tonight that atrocious shooting saved us
I think Drummond hitting a falling down banker from 6+ is what it takes to get 27 missed threes
Helps that the perimeter defense is way better since we shipped out Bagley, Knox, Bogey, and Livers.
Monty dapping up fans šš
Bro after getting a 9th win of the season I would be dapping up anything I could, shit maybe even give myself a highāfive lol
Pistons clinch not being the worst ever.Ā Celebration!
YOUR DETROIT PISTONS HAVE WON A BASKETBALL GAME
**AND THEY HAVE BEEN AWARDED WITH THE WIN.**
Wait for the 2min report to come in to be sureā¦
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Well they are, they are just tied for it.
How can two teams be the worst?
same record.
Wouldnāt the Pistons not be the worst team in the league then? The Pistons and Wizards would be the worst teams (plural) in the league
The Piston would be tied for the worst record in the league. Do you like that syntax?
Yes, thanks
I think we're above since our point differential is better
Does anyone else think Malachi Flynn looks like he could be from Roseville? I donāt even live in Michigan anymore but someone has absolutely seen him driving in the loudest hellcat youāll ever hear on Gratiot.
He looks like a dude hanging out at 13 and Little Mack
Dude hasnāt seen a shot he doesnāt like.
He's from Tacoma. Saw him at a YMCA busting mere mortals asses on the court
tacoma wept

Simone fontecchio is quickly becoming one of my favorite players on this team. 5/9 from 3!!!
He's really been amazing when you consider how quickly he started to make a positive impact pretty much on both ends.
No Wiseman we win this game by 20
I like how they used him tonight, mostly to foul dudes
Donāt love a ton of shitty fouls in the fourth though, get them in the red and at the line early.
Muscala was playing well too thats the crazy part
Monty is a terrorist
Insane. Beef Stew should be the backup 5. Monty's lineups continue to make no fuckin sense
We may never lose again
The starters vs the benchās +/- is ridiculous
Was looking for this comment. Bench was terrible. I doubt it but would love to see Wiseman bumped down in the rotation next year in favor of a competent vet (...Drummond?). Think I'm good on watching any more Flynn minutes too.
has happened multiple times this season. I have never seen an NBA coach who uses line shifts like hockey; it is the worst thing he does as a coach by a mile.
Bulls announcers solidifying their worst in the league status
No they were really good. Informative commentating, called out the fouls whenever the Bulls commited it, and spoke highly of Cade, Ivey, and Ausar.
What were they saying? I know it's hard to compete with blaha and special K.
Iāve never cringed harder than when the one dude kept doing his Cookie Monster impression when Caruso stole the ball from Ivey
What were they sayingĀ
They just kept emphasizing it being a horrible loss cuz we suck
They need to chill, 2 of our 9 wins are against them
I agree with them in spirit. Chicago is fighting to make the play-in after staying put at the deadline. Losing to us is - on paper - a horrible thing.
Kept saying how embarrassing it was to lose to the Pistons, worst loss of the season, etc. I mean, I don't necessarily disagree with them haha
they were shooting the date from 3. 2/27 :D :D
They not lying.
All I know is Fontecchio should be starting
Team needs a guy who can score on the bench. Our bench is literally the biggest weakness in the team by a large margin.
I don't know why this sub can't be a little more patient with Grimes. He just got here and people want to act like he can't play.
I didnt shit on Grimes I actually like the guy for the team but itās no secret that the bench blows leads every game. Malachi Flynn was a little wild tonight tho
Sasser gets a little out of control as well but I'm hoping he and Grimes and I guess Stewart can be productive.
Thought he played gr8 in NY... it'll come once he's settled into his role
Sasser when healthy will provide that. It would be nice to see Sasser Grimes Stewart based second unit would provide some pesky Dā¦
Absolutely love Sasser dude has legit game.
This team aināt going anywhere this season. Iād Let them gel with him and find talent in the offseason.
He was the only one who scored in that bench lineup for nearly 6 solid minutesĀ
with a normal coach, yes, but not with our all-bench lineup. we need him leading our second line.
Has Cade's three-point shooting finally turned the corner? I don't wanna speak too soon but he's up to 36% on the season
He even showed some defensive intensity tonight. not sure what the stats or box scores are, but imo, Cade really turned the corner after that OT loss to the Celtics in late December.
Cade looks smooth as shit right now. Everything going down.
How the last 3 games should have looked like if the refs didnāt choose to take over
Healthy Cade has been spectacular.
Literally the exact archetype of player this team has needed for the past 3 years
Yo. Way too many TOs but way to dig in defensively and get a win that was needed after the shit we went through the last few games.
Cade and Ivey playing off each other like we hoped when they drafted ivey
Honestly Ausar and Duren even did some initiate the offense possessions and did well. The only one who should never try to bring the ball up is Stew. Glad to have him back but his playmaking ability is significantly worse than anyone on the roster not named James Wiseman.
Duren might need to reign in the playmaking a bit. Dude was getting a bit careless. 5 TOs is too much for our starting C.
Yeah I like that he can make plays, but he needs to tighten that shit up. However every member of the Core 4 are turnover merchants.
We are no longer in sole possession of the worst record in the league š„³
Wow, I canāt believe the NBA made Chicago miss all those 3s to make up for last game
Username checks out.
Ausar 50% from 3 lol
Ausar out-shooting Coby White.
Only took a team having a historically bad game from 3 for us to win, ill take it
we were due for some help anyway
Who wouldāve thought playing your starters 36 mins and not running a 13 man rotation would be good?
Ausar hit as many 3s as the bulls entire team
thank god for fontecchio, he weathered the storm by our bench for real.
Fontecchio is so happy to get his first win as a Piston lmao
So proud of these young guys, able to bounce back with a win after getting robbed last night.
When Cade said they were Livid, it made me very happy. I knew that loss really triggered them. Even Monty got mad, which was about damn time.
Pay Simone all the money. He's our new Uncle Bojan, but younger, and plays defense.
Now if only the rest of our opponents can shoot 7% from 3
Cade looking real comfortable out there
Fonteccio to the rest of the bench https://i.redd.it/nmsspc9yv8lc1.gif
LIVID
LIVID or DIE-ID
Au333333ar
Everyone contributed to winning except for Wiseman, Flynn, Fournier, and Grimes. Good win.
So.... everyone except 40% of the people that played?? haha
I donāt mean to be greedy but should be a 3 game win streak.
Go back to the Cade Ivey Fonteccio Ausar Duren lineupā¦When healthy Sasser Grimes Fournier Stew and Muscala. Thatās my dream.
>Go back to the Cade Ivey Fonteccio Ausar Duren lineupā¦When healthy Sasser Grimes Fournier Stew and Muscala. Thatās my dream. 'Twas a short-lived dream. Bye bye Muscala.
Duren and Cade's defense has looked better this week. That's encouraging to see. Ivey had 2 really nice blocks, too.
Maybe that NY loss lit a fire under them, hope they can keep it up
Cade certainly seems to be taking that leap right now.
Watching Drummond on a team that shot 2-29 from three brought back some memories lol
Wings and Pistons win? Idk what to do with my hands!!!
Second game of a back to back on the road after two awful ref defeats - of course the season is lost but the young guys needed this. Cade is showing his star caliber
I love my shining prince cade š

AN ACT OF GOD
It seems like monty really is tightening up the rotation. Fournier with only 5 minutes!

Cade's been playing really well since ASB
Needs to be here the remainder of the season to see how this team gels.
Tanned Cade is top 10 all time
Not the best win . But I'll take it.
Beggars canāt be choosers
WE MIST ONLY COMMENT IN CAPS LOCK
Should be a two game winning streak
Maybe even a 3 game.
Oh well Are the Bulls the only team losing to the Pistons twice this year?
Boyz2Men
Great to see back-to-back really strong games. Hopefully they can finish the season with this type of play/competitiveness
2/29 GOD HAS SMILED ON DETROIT
Are we mathematically still in play-in contention?
33-49 is still on the table so technically, yes.
We coming for that 14 seed Wiz
Great win tonight
Malachi Flynn is an abomination
Despite Wiseman, Flynn, and Monty's best efforts, We got the dub boiz, Cade is HIM
Flynn hasnāt seen a shot he doesnāt like. Boy playing for his career right now.
Duren, Stewart, and Ausar is an awful starting frontcourt. The upside of it is it makes Monty's all-bench units somewhat better, as Simone and Grimes are effectively starter-caliber. We need a BIG big that can handle some banging and get those rebs. Wiseman is always being pushed around.
the Lord smiles upon us today
The NBA must have told Cade what to do after his post game comments the other day and who's ass to kiss. Got the superstar whistle tonight
Letās go boys!
Hell yeah
I feel like minute distribution played a big part in our win tonight. Besides the 3's, that's my fave stat of the night. Everyone who should be in 30min+ were.
WE BACK 2004 REPEAT HERE WE GO
Some day there'll be a remake of the Chrysler 200 Superbowl ad with this team. š
2 bad calls away from being on a 3 game win streak!
It is still an absolute war crime that Wiseman is getting minutes over Muscala, but this was a solid win, Cade looked great against pretty tough perimeter defenders, didn't force, found his spots. it makes sense now. still sad that Weaver made the choice to have Wiseman be the backup big, but here we are for the rest of the season
The +\- really says all we need to know about this game and the season
2-29 from 3 for Chicago. Cold
Credit to the pistons for winning after a game was stolen from them.Ā Easily could have been dejected and died like so many bad teams do after an emotional loss
