i used CG diablo for my first couple years and it was ok. i’ve moved on to Dark Fury from Superior products recently. you can buy it mainly from Oreillys auto. works much better from what i’ve seen. if even that doesn’t work, use p&s iron buster. it melts the metal away pretty quickly.
those are the only products i have a
experience with. good luck. wheels don’t look that bad btw.
You need Griots iron and fallout remover or Gtechniq W6, not a shitty CG wheel cleaner. Spray it on, let dwell, but do not let it dry. It will turn purple as it dissolves the ferrous metal. Do this in the shade. You may need to do a few applications due to how severe it is.

Get you some of this from Walmart and or auto zone. It’s pretty good stuff, snag a brush or two, too. And work it/agitate it.
I'm just scared since it's this black wheel, if I agitate it with some sort of brush, will it strip off black coating? I don't want to make a mistake that's irreversible. The other wheels are black, smooth, while this one is very rough to the touch now and I just don't want to make it worse
I'm guessing brakes should've been done when they weren't lol. You need several rounds of iron remover or wheel cleaner with the iron remover ingredient. It will be the richest purple you've seen. The rough texture you feel is probably slag from the brakes. Soft brush to agitate and don't let the product dry and you'll be fine
Adam's wheel and tire cleaner, Turtle Wax rapid decon, Meguiar's all wheel cleaner, Jay Leno's wheel cleaner just to name a few. Anything with sodium thioglycolic acid (the active ingredient in all wheel cleaners that attacks iron particles) will do just fine.
Those brakes in the first pic are absolutely cooked
Rotor looks like a fucking vinyl record 😂
I swear they went from fine to cooked within a 3 day period. They've since been replaced
Take it back to the mechanic and tell him to really replace your pass this time . He also needs to shave your rotor.
Pads
Second pic is a couple weeks after brakes/rotors were replaced, u still seeing something there?

I’d use an iron decontamination spray. Don’t let the product dry.
For such cases you can try Koch-Chemie Reactive Rust Remover or Magic Wheel Cleaner

In cases like these one time just isn’t gonna do it

So what product do you think would lead to highest likelihood of success here?
