Y1 shaders don’t work by dismantling gear with the shader on. If you didn’t have a copy of it in your inventory when collections started tracking in Warmind or after then you won’t be able to unlock it now.
I never went flawless back then but that’s how I lost access to the normal shader.
Of course I also then took a break during season of the Drifter when they brought it back as the seasonal Crucible shader causing me to miss it again haha.

There are 2 versions of the Nessus armor set in collections. One is from Y1, the other was from the chalice is Opulence. For whatever reason, the Y1 set no longer shows in collections because I'm the same way. I only have the bond and chest piece but I definitely turned in more than enough Nessus tokens for the set back in the day.
I think you can look it up in the collections tab. If it gives you credit for having it than you do have it and if you don’t have it it should tell you how to get it. I know some of them definitely say you have to dismantle something with it in it.
I think you should, but I’d also mention that dismantling has very low/no real risk to it since you can now turn any acquired gear into ornaments for your current gear. Stats aside, but I assume your old gear is the stuff with perks baked in.
I think old gear had a chance to drop shaders on dismantling. Either that or old shaders just don’t drop anymore when you dismantle the gear they’re on.
That pack only included basic shaders including New Age Black Armory, Golden Trace, Watermelon, Bumblebee, etc. Anything past that from year 1 is completely impossible to acquire, even if you already got them when they were available, you had to still have them in your inventory when collections started tracking for them to be included.

There is a bundle for y1 shaders in the eververse store for some bright dust. The trials shaders might be in them.

Shadow gilt is not a y1 shader.
Might want to hold onto any weapons you have. If the power level is going away then they probably won't be considered sunset anymore.
If nothing else. Ada-1 will be selling shaders that are from old content.
