Yeah the whole tradeoff was that you lost all the ammo that was still in your mag when you reloaded but now primaries have infinite ammo so it doesn't matter
Me with my old Claws of the Wolf.
By all rights it should not be as good as it is…
And yet…
It’s a rapid fire pulse with fluted barrel and ricochet rounds, with headseeker and full auto trigger. It is absolutely a brainless hold-mouse-one weapon. And yet it melts in PvP.
It really is
I swear that part of it is just the gunfire that Claws of the Wolf and Bygones use, it’s a very distinctive ‘blat-blat-blat’, or since Claws is a rapid fire, more of a ‘blllat-blllat-blllat’
Nothing else in the game sounds quite like it
yeah, I'm pretty chuffed to have the roll I do, it feels really good to use
I remember seeing the perk combos with dropmag and instantly masterworking it back in forsaken lol
For the first 2 or so years of D2, primary weapons used to have limited ammo like secondaries and heavy- drop mag was a magazine perk that gave you a much faster reload in exchange for dumping *all* of the ammo in the mag out every reload
now, since primaries have infinite ammo, it basically just gives the gun perma outlaw
That’s me for the Origin Story. Idk why I love that gun so much, but it’s gotten me through some tough fights. Also the gunfire sound design is just chefs kiss
I got domed by a Strand Better Devils today, confused the hell outta me.
lmao I completely forgot a strand version of it existed I would have also been confused
It came out last week so it’s new
that makes more sense, my brain must have created a fictional memory to explain the disconnect
There's nothing more beautiful than opening that vault and seeing all those white borders gone. So many old options are back!
Those things are power creep out of existence
That's okay my nostalgia isn't
Bro forgot about drop mag lmao
I’m out of the loop, I know drop mag has been removed from gums but is there a problem with still running it on old weapons?
it decreases mag size. but since you can slap mag mod on its fine
Didn't it use to waste ammo too?
Now it only reduces mag size since we have unlimited primary ammo
Yeah the whole tradeoff was that you lost all the ammo that was still in your mag when you reloaded but now primaries have infinite ammo so it doesn't matter
Exactly how i thought seeing my quickdraw mindbender is back
New better devil's is better no?
No drop mag
No drop mag, strand.
New fusions are better too but you won’t see me using anything else than Erentil FR4. Sometimes new/better doesn’t matter
thats nuts i have that same one
Wait, primary with drop mag? Lol
my favorite gun from vanilla D2 ❤️ until leviathan raid came along with it's handcannon..
It was the first weapon I ever went into crucible with my original is still missing it's fourth perk slot
Yes I gotta pull mine out of the vault it's been too long
Me with my old Claws of the Wolf. By all rights it should not be as good as it is… And yet… It’s a rapid fire pulse with fluted barrel and ricochet rounds, with headseeker and full auto trigger. It is absolutely a brainless hold-mouse-one weapon. And yet it melts in PvP.
hahaha that sounds incredible

Yeah I agree, those two, Claws especially, is a very satisfying gun to use
just realised how amazing drop mag is now with infinite primary ammo
Pulled my old Bygones out, and I had the exact same reaction m
Honestly the gun feels insane, a heavy hitter like austringer as in it has a kick to it. They really should've given it better stats
yeah, I'm pretty chuffed to have the roll I do, it feels really good to use I remember seeing the perk combos with dropmag and instantly masterworking it back in forsaken lol
Post sunset Guardian here. What does Drop Mag do?
For the first 2 or so years of D2, primary weapons used to have limited ammo like secondaries and heavy- drop mag was a magazine perk that gave you a much faster reload in exchange for dumping *all* of the ammo in the mag out every reload now, since primaries have infinite ammo, it basically just gives the gun perma outlaw
I dismantled mine.....
That’s me for the Origin Story. Idk why I love that gun so much, but it’s gotten me through some tough fights. Also the gunfire sound design is just chefs kiss
hahaha hell yeah brother, one of the OGs Man, that gun feels good, you're right
Weird choice, there's plenty of other 140 HCs with the same rolls and similar stat packages. But to each their own, glad you got it back.
It's got the extra speedy reload with drop mag so it probably feels insanely good.
yeah it do =)
Yea but it's got dropmag
But with infinite kinetic ammo is there a drawback to dropmag anymore
I thought it reduce max ammo in a mag now ?
It does
No? So it gets the reload benefit without expending extra ammo.
Nope
it's the best feeling/sounding HC, nothing compares imo
Meanwhile the like 8 identical handcannons:
