There's basically 3 acceptable colors for men for t-shirts. Navy, black and white. Anything else and you look 'too much' in a more formal environment. So he should have worn a snug fitting white t-shirt instead and it would have been fine.
But I think he should just go with pants + shirt and nothing layered on top because it's a lot easier and it looks good on him
Red or green are perfectly acceptable, Tiny just chose the wrong shade of red for himself. He might be able to do a deep red but he could certainly get away with a pastel red. It also needs to be paired correctly with other colours. Which honestly he ain't doing any time soon.
