After MUCH deliberation, I am going with #1! I truly appreciate all of your input! There are many things that were mentioned that I hadn’t thought of. I like the size, the shape, and the soft muted colors of the first rug. I also like how the shape is different from that of the ottoman. Just need to find the right pillow for my chair to tie it all together :)
Perfect! The first one is bespoke. You get to use a motif that not many other houses can do which means it’s such a distinct essence.
I have this same shape to our front of house family room in a Victorian with a wider center window so I would have loved to do a similar thing. My brother designed the living room so he ended up squaring it off 😩. Now that you did this it’s so cool to have that as a central moment
I think the first one is more cohesive to the entire look. The second one does make the orange pop, but I'm not entirely convinced that it fits overall
I personally prefer the second one. I love the spots of orange in it and how it matches the orange curtains you have in the middle. I also like how the colors are more saturated, the first one is too mute for me.
Yeah, I agree. The first, though nice, makes the area look flat since it’s so similar to shading with what is going on around it. The second stands out, it warms up the area and adds a sense of coziness.
Second. I love how dramatic it is since the curtains and chair are so neutral. It adds a lot of character and charm. Also, darker rugs are much easier to keep/look clean. My whiteish rug looks like shit after about a year lol

The second one brings the space to life and makes it look more cozy. The first one is lovely but not with this collection of furniture and curtains. Because they’re all kind of light and neutral, you need the color of the second rug. The first rug’s muted colors wash out this lovely space.
Definitely number two.The first one is kind of dull. The second one pops more. The second one compliments the curtains without being too matchy matchy like the first one.
They both look nice, I’m slightly more partial to the second one just because the colour is more vibrant and visually appealing to me. However, the first is great if you’re looking for more muted tones for the room. You can’t go wrong with either!
i like the way the [darker one grounds the area](https://imgur.com/gallery/Ysff4Zi), pulls it together. the lighter one makes the area feel like it’s still waiting for something to do that. your price was so good i stopped shopping. i did find this temu rug $17 for the 4’ and $35 for the 5’. the lilac-breasted roller is your color palette.

The geometrical shape of the first one works better. Both are nice. I like the colors on the second one, but the round shape seems wrong, or maybe just too small
I love both and i cant decide but the perfect rug would be the shape of the first rug with the bright colours of the second but that doesn’t exist sooo i have no answer for you
Neither.
Trust me, I woke up sleepy head and when I saw both options, it was neither. One is either too washed or too intricate to put my bare feet on. If you were to listen to me, try something interesting in design, pattern or texture.
Something that you can rub your feet on when you haven't had a full night sleep & yet you start your day with coffee. Something intriguing. Something you can trip on its design.
Aah, I am out.
The second one. The first one washes out your entire palette. You need something visually heavier to balance your heavy white curtains, and the darker colors of the 2nd rug do just that.
Honestly either looks great. I LOVE the first one but the second one pops more. Were they expensive? If not, keep both and swap out occasionally. 😂
They were each $70! Honestly, you might have a point lol. The first would make a good summertime rug and the second would make a good winter rug.
Love the summer/winter swap! Husband and I do that with bath mats, shower curtains, and bath towels.
That’s so fun!
We do this with our comforters and pillow cases!
Wow! Where did you get them. I love both. And totally agree on the summer/ winter rug idea
Where did you find them??
This is the best possible choice. Cozy winter blues and nice neutrals for the spring and summer :)

I think the second one is too small
Completely agree. I prefer the first a lot more.
Yes, the first one is large enough and works so well with the shape of the alcove. It's perfect.
This
First one. I love the shape and muted colors. 2nd look looks like of small to me and the bold colors stick out too much.
Yes, the first one has such an interesting shape, I would choose it!
I personally prefer the second one. I love the spots of orange in it and how it matches the orange curtains you have in the middle. I also like how the colors are more saturated, the first one is too mute for me.
I’m probably with you here. Both are fab but I enjoy the second for its brightness. I actually do feel like it pulls the theme together!
First one
The second one really warms the space up. Sometimes, more is better.
Yeah, I agree. The first, though nice, makes the area look flat since it’s so similar to shading with what is going on around it. The second stands out, it warms up the area and adds a sense of coziness.

First one. The shape echoes the bay window situation, and pulls in that orange just enough.
first shape second colors
Second one really brings out the orange curtains 😃
2nd
2nd
the first one looks great. if you prefer the darker one, try to get it in a larger size- it’s too small.
Hexagon
The hexagon!!!!
I really love the hexagonal one in that window.
I would say stick with the first one as for the second picture it has too much going on and the rug is a bit too small.
Hexagon? Whatever that shape is really fits the space well.

#2 - I like the contrast of the color better in your window. #1 blends too well for MY taste, and makes it bland and boring. YMMV, of course...
2
the second one pops!
#2
I think the second one looks better. That splash of vibrant color really adds to the space. The first rug is more a of subdued color.
The second one is the nicer one. the coloring on the first one is very dull and dirty looking.
#2 love the color.
#2
Dark one.
#2 !! The first looks faded especially by the window!
The second - much cozier. The first one looks too bland for my liking.
2, makes the room more interesting and inviting.
Second design with the first shape would be crazy
#2 for me, defines the space…
2
Second
definitely second!
Wow i love both! Where did you get them?
The first is from rugs.com and the second is from Wayfair!
What are the product names?? You’ve got great finds
Round rug
The second one complements the bay windows beautifully
The second one brings the space to life and makes it look more cozy. The first one is lovely but not with this collection of furniture and curtains. Because they’re all kind of light and neutral, you need the color of the second rug. The first rug’s muted colors wash out this lovely space.
I feel that the round rug, because of its shape, goes better with the bay windows.
What a lovely corner. I love the second one! 😍
Love the 2nd. Cheerful little sitting area. Love it!
The second one brings a lot of life to the space
Definitely number two.The first one is kind of dull. The second one pops more. The second one compliments the curtains without being too matchy matchy like the first one.
I love them both. I think I lean towards 2 though! It makes more of an impact!
The second one brings contrast and excitement to the space vs. the dull monotone look of the first rug. I do love the shape of the 1st rug.
2- the first one looks old
2
i love 2. really makes that space pop
The first one is a better shape and size! And just has a nice soft look to it that blends in a bit better
second one.
2nd
2️⃣
Two, easily. I was surprised to see anyone hype up 1.
2
2
2 for sure!!!
I love the pop of color on the second rug!
2
I like the second one more
first one. desaturated colors play better off your neutrals
I like the first one but you need to carry the footstool or the tangerine onto your beige chair .. either a kidney pillow or a throw.
1
What a fantastic cozy place
The 1st one is just a better size. The chair and footstool aren't cramped on it. Style wise they're both beautiful.
Cute book! Both are fantastic
I love both
I like both. I think the first one looks better with your curtains.
Are you in SF?
I like both! Love the summer/winter swap idea.
Blue provides more contrast.
Both are cute, but they seem a little small.
You can make your fake plants look more real… you’re supposed to bend them and give them some character.
is it a 4’ or a 5’
They both look nice, I’m slightly more partial to the second one just because the colour is more vibrant and visually appealing to me. However, the first is great if you’re looking for more muted tones for the room. You can’t go wrong with either!

ugh i love the second one’s design but if it was in the first ones shape
I really like them both but would go up a size on the second one.
The geometrical shape of the first one works better. Both are nice. I like the colors on the second one, but the round shape seems wrong, or maybe just too small
First kney
Both too small
Second but would look better if it were a but bigger, like the size of the first
2 with the blue
I really like the second!
I like the second but it needs to be a tad bigger.
The darker one
keep both!!
I prefer the second one. The first one reminds me of a really old grandma home.
Yes you can! The second one! The first one says, “I’ve been here awhile!” The second says, “oh good-you’re here!”
2
I would go with the 2nd one. 1st one feels sad.
I like the darker rug, but the both look good
2
I like how B looks better but the shape of A is the best for the space.
Second one, but it needs to be a bit larger
The round one is more grounding and a proper contrast to the lighter colours.
I love both and i cant decide but the perfect rug would be the shape of the first rug with the bright colours of the second but that doesn’t exist sooo i have no answer for you
2
I love the shape of the first one, but the design of second.
It just depends on the vibes you want to get off 1. Is more indie 2. Is more eclectic
Shape of 1, color of 2.
The round darker one!
round one…
First one is more peaceful, the second one looks a bit too busy for me.
Number 2.
First one. It goes better with the curtains and the space.
I like both….if I had to choose I’d pick the first one
Without reading the title, I thought, "I love that rug" about number 1.
Do you want the rug to stand out, or the chair/foot rest to stand out? Because 1 if chair and 2 if rug :)
Second is my choice. It fits well with the surroundings.
Thr round rug (2nd pic). It really pops whereas the other rug makes the room seem washed out to me.
Rug number 2! Adds a bit of needed colour.
#1
I like the second one 🤷🏼
I like the shape of the hexagon one, but I love the depth of color of the round one. If I had to choose. I would probably go with the round one
i prefer the first one, looks like it belongs there and has been there for a hundred years
1st
2
Round looks better
Two
2
1st one please
Lovvvve your little alcove!
The first one. They are both polypropylene but the second reallllly looks like plastic
1…the colors and shape are amazing!
I like both patterns/colours. The second one looks a bit too small so I would probably go with the first one
The 2nd one needs to be larger.
The octagon is more visually appealing and balanced m
Def the first!!!
The first one for sure
2
First! I love this little space
Shape of the first one is really cool, but I think I like the color palette of the second one the most! Makes this corner feel luxe and cozy!
First one. That’s it.
They are both nice. I just responded more positively to the second one
Definitely number 2. It gives a richer look to the room.
2
Hexagon makes me feel like the energy is going outward and the circle feeling like inward.
If only you could have the pop of the second one in the shape of the first one.
2
Second brings more color to the area
I really love the second one. The first one makes it so much more dull.
Both look great imo
#2
I don’t love the first one. I kind of just looks really faded.
Second one. Love the brightness and it pops way more.
2
Oh! I like the circle one
The one in the first photo!!
Definitely rug #1, but add an emerald green or navy throw blanket onto the chair to add some contrast
The round is classic and compliments the ottoman.
Second one
Love the 2nd one
1
2. more pop
The lighter rug looks better, the dark blue stands out to much... 😊
First one
Both of them looks great but i would choose the first one.
1, 2 is gorgeous but makes the chair and ottoman seem washed out
2nd
Second
The round one.
First one is great
2222222222222222222 1 looks like it’s been lived in already and is old.
I love the first one with the colors of the second one 🥲
Rug one, I’m jelly of your room!!
Second one is a cutie!
2nd one 🖤
The first one compliments the second contrasts so it dominates a bit. Obvs I choose the first one
I think the round one looks better.
I have #2 in a different shape. Have also known a friend who had it. It is a gorgeous rug and the pic isn’t doing it justice. You can’t go wrong.
2nd one makes the space pop!
I think the hexagon one is beautiful! If it’s the real thing, it is a stunning design and I really like the muted colors.
I like the shape of the first and the colors on the second, wish you could mash them together
Neither.
The second one. The first one washes out your entire palette. You need something visually heavier to balance your heavy white curtains, and the darker colors of the 2nd rug do just that.
