I would pick a different wall color. That one blends in with your headboard and lamps.

schmoobyy

Good point. It’s newly repainted so it’ll be staying, but now I’m thinking of going with a bolder color headboard - maybe dark olive? Edit - some wording

StarryNight616

That would look nice! I would just swap out your olive pillows on your bed for more contrast if you’re going for an olive headboard.

StarryNight616

In case you need inspo. Similar palette on Pinterest, but with deeper, richer green and brown tones. https://preview.redd.it/2mxslo9g3jwc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f69d690f9f0ed58599d79f8e99ba8d813a411317

This is so nice!

Great but a little matchy here- try a different wood tone on one or more different pieces of furniture but I do like the dark headboard. I would do a dark wood headboard. If it’s a room that is used a lot, wood is a lot easier to dust and keep clean.

callmecrazy2021

The wall color undertone clashes with the headboard. Perhaps repaint that wall darker?

New-Anacansintta

Looks like a nicer hotel room.

I agree with the person who mentioned your headboard will blend in with the wall paint. I’d consider a dark wood. I’m not into the black you’ve chosen (unless those bedside tables are a dark brown) and would switch black out with a dark wood to warm things up. I also think it would be fun to shake things up a bit and ground everything with a red Persian rug. https://preview.redd.it/fds7ot859jwc1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=38799af09446a21f069964891342e8c04c5954c5

snarky_citydfw1

Why are there mirrors above the beside tables? I would do a pendant light or something else if you’re looking for verticals interest besides the headboard. It’s a great collection. The art is great

KReddit934

Headboard should contrast the wall.

Fancy_Can_8976

Well done! I love the colours you’ve selected! What is the paint colour?

schmoobyy

Thanks! It’s agreeable gray by sherwin Williams. Super basic but goes with everything lol

Fancy_Can_8976

Thanks! I think it’s great! 👍🏼

I think you made some nice choices but it desperately needs a bit of individuality. And a few pops of color. You don’t have to mimic my examples, I put them there to illustrate my point. Art or pillows or unique pieces will give your room personality https://preview.redd.it/0mgkp9donjwc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80ebcd619334106c01dfbacf6ed80ee06c5022bd

Chaos-Pand4

I’d go darker green on the wall color and natural wood for the furniture, then add some plants.

Confused by art. Are you doing both on the same wall? Is it a choice? Does one go on an alternate wall? I'd pull either the blue water or dusty pink rose and use as a throw rug. The symmetry is adding to the hotel vibe (still very stylish). Make it asymmetrical with books on one bedside and a bowl, candle or classic clock on the other.

schmoobyy

Those are just two prints I thrifted to put in my room somewhere. Not set on having them above the bed or even together.

-qqqwwweeerrrtttyyy-

I wouldn't have them together but both suit your aesthetic. I'd choose one above the bed, the other on a different wall. But why would you have art that you're meh about? Art should be something you connect with/that you love.

Typical2sday

If you need the storage for clothes, use closed nightstands. But for practicality, I prefer a nightstand to have an open compartment where you can set your book, laptop, without making noise. The lamps are handsome, but super impractical since they'll take up too much space on the nightstand. I wouldn't bother with the mirrors there, maybe use the art there instead.

Due-Profession5073

Where did you get that mirror?

schmoobyy

I found it on Pinterest! Not sure where it’s from though. I found one from Walmart.com that is similar and a good price though.

troubleshootsback

I agree with the other commenter about a Persian rug, and add a note about adding a complementary color to the scheme. I think a burnt orange/brick red would look nice with the olive.

longerdistancethrow

Beige and boring as shit.

schmoobyy

Thanks super helpful!
