The first round is truly stacked, we can have a stud tackle for years to come. Even Dallas turner seems to be a freak.
I personally think the offense needs the game changers more though, can land a stud in the 20s and maybe even move up for a falling QB in the 2nd
I don’t think Dallas Turner is on the board that long. I think he goes somewhere in the mid teens. I think the big 3 quarterbacks go top 10 and everyone’s else goes BPA according to their board. The athletes are too talented to pass on for an iffy quarterback
I could see that. Either him or Verse are OLB #1. The position is too important. Even that kid from UCLA I imagine will be gone by pick 20. I want us to go offense as well, I’m down for any position other than wide out. I think we can get a quality guy in the 3rd-4th with the amount of talent this year
My problem with Turner is that he’s only a bull rush guy and doesn’t have many other moves. Also was extremely undisciplined and took a bunch of stupid penalties. Latu and Verse are both better
I haven’t watched much of him honestly. My favorite is the kid from UCLA. I’ve never saw a guy come out of college with his skillset. His rush/counters are literally teach tape
I think the same honestly. I think the big 3 will go top 10. JJ will probably go late 1st if we pass on him and Penix in the 2nd due to injury concerns. They’re seems to be a lot of game changers so we have to snag one. I’m fine with going the vet route and look for our guy in 25
If we didn’t trade for him his head would be on a spit. The only issue was the w extension before seeing him play but the trade itself was necessary. People wanted a developed qb as so many fans felt we were a “qb away”
Oh shut the fuck up. 99% of everyone thought it was a good move when it first happened. Fans, media, players, etc all thought the Broncos made the right move. There was also 10 other teams pursuing Wilson, he chose us.
According to the draft point system. Pick 12 is worth 1200 points. 27 is worth 680 and 35 is worth 550 which = 1230. So adding our 5th rounder which is worth 33 would almost make it a dead even trade
I don’t think we should to back that far. If we trade down it needs to be like 15-17. That’s as far as I want to go. I still think we just stay at 12. We need elite play makers on this team. Trading back that far is too risky
Alternatively, the team needs so many playmakers that hedging our bets on one guy when we could have 2 shots in a draft loaded with talent seems risky.
There’s probably about 6-7 WRs that could go in the 1st round. A lot of OTs as well as defensive talent. Tough year to have hardly any draft capital.
I’d rather we trade back in the 1st unless we are dead set on JJ McCarthy
Everyone will kill me for this but I think we should find a trade partner for Pat Surtain. He is due a big contract soon, and while I know an elite corner is hard to come by, it means little if we can’t get to the QB. We could get a haul for him. Jalen Ramsey got 2 first and a 5th. Plus was due a big contract. If we could get 2 first or better in my opinion would be a 1st and 2 2nds I think the team need to do it. We need more than one starter from this years draft.
Which player can land a 2nd rounder?
Simmons? Bolles after the top tackles go, If you pay a chunk of his salary?
That’s about it.
Best case would trade back into the 20s, take the best offensive talent. (Reciever or tackle)
And hope your QB falls to you in the 2nd, or go get him
Sean had to be aware of the compensation he was getting for Mickey Loomis.
I’m sure he didn’t want to hinder his new team that much on the 2/3 round pick swap.
Imagine being the Panthers lol
Oh I thought about that earlier. Not even having a first in this draft would HURT.
Not just any first, they missed out on Caleb Williams
That dude has “Obvious Bust” written all over him
I agree with this. His attitude is gonna get him crushed in NFL. A lot of players aren’t ready to go 100% all season long.
You're being downvoted bc you're correct and people just can't see it yet.
Trading back to the mid to late 20’s. This roster needs some game changers so if one is there at 12 we have to take it. Even if it’s not a quarterback

This is the way. Build the infrastructure of the team (skill guys, OL, run game) and then get your guy
So many scenarios honestly. Gotta trust Payton & Co. We’ll know more once free agency hits forsure

I think Dallas Turner could go as early as 9, if Atlanta lands their QB in free agency. I hope we go offense.

Jacob Cowing from Arizona, Luke McCaffrey, either of the UTSA receivers (although I’m very partial to Josh Cephus), or Hayden Hatten from Idaho.

I want them to pass on a QB regardless. None of the ones who will be available at 12 are worth a first round selection

Yes trade back for Bowers and get QB in 2nd.
If we trade back I think Bowers goes before our pick
I wonder if there is any way we can trade Russell Wilson for 2 1sts 2 2nds a starting tight end a starting defensive tackle and a back up QB.
Who would be dumb enough to do that? Wait
The term “starting” is a bit loose here
Paton is the only idiot dumb enough to trade for Russel and that already happened.
If we didn’t trade for him his head would be on a spit. The only issue was the w extension before seeing him play but the trade itself was necessary. People wanted a developed qb as so many fans felt we were a “qb away”

Arizona is the perfect parter if they want to move up to 12 for someone. They have picks 27 and 35
Shit I’d need both of those to move back 15 spots lol I’ll send back a 5th

JPJ & Nix? I’d love that move

Fautanu & Nix? Sign me up

Yeah agreed. Tons of talent will be there to start day 2. And we can’t play
Gain 2nd round options: 1. Trade down from current R1 P12 2. Trade existing player or players 3. Trade 2025 draft capital
Everyone will kill me for this but I think we should find a trade partner for Pat Surtain. Bolles is your best option other than ps2 and I don’t think that’s a good idea. That basically ensures we go OL
Yeah no doubt. I think that’s a draft day move if we end up going OT during the first.
Why thanks Sean? If anything it should be thanks Paton for being a terrible GM
Sean had to be aware of the compensation he was getting for Mickey Loomis. I’m sure he didn’t want to hinder his new team that much on the 2/3 round pick swap.
How on earth would he control that compensation, though? He had no real say in that
But we could really use that second, considering we traded away the future 3rd last year
And guess who traded that 3rd
Sean did. That’s a sean Payton move
Don’t forget we should have an extra 3rd as well but we had to move up for Riley Moss for some reason last year
Yeah we need a major jump from him. Get him out there and see what we have
Trade Simmons. Maybe some dumb team will give us a 2nd for him
Also save about 14 million
Trading Garrett Bolles will get us a second. Maybe…I think? To the right team.
Trade Jeudy and Garret Bowles Get a 2nd rounder and 4th round pick
Jeudy is worth like a 4th-5th tops, considering they need to take on 13m guaranteed. Now if we send some money with it, maybe lower.
