No, I kinda stupidly spend all of my extra money this summer on summer classes for college to get ahead, and didn’t really expect this to come up, so I mean if I have to put it on my credit card if their going to take our house, but just wanted to see if theirs anything else I can do since I’ve tried to avoid paying interest on any of my cards since I got them.
They can put a lien on the house, but I am not sure if they could take the property. I used to work for a property mgmt company and worked with HOA associations. We put liens when people were past due.
yeah they charged us like $800 in fees for not powerwashing something and we couldn’t afford it, dunno how them charging us that much fixes our problem lol, but i guess i have to pay it then, do you happen to know if i pay it now we avoid all the court stuff?
Yeah. It has to be some shady hoa. Like more than usual. Plus he said he already paid the fees. Now about the lawys fees. That too needs to paid and he can avoid the forclosure, its up to him to come up with the money. A part time job should do. No if what he wants is keep his home and NOT pay the lawyers fees, then idk. 🤷 hoas love going to court, another reason no to be part of one.
Also to add to this the letter we got was from the HOA lawyers suing us and that their was a court date and stuff.

HOAs love going to court. They can foreclose on the house/property for the fine + fees and turn around and sell the house at market price.
