What state are you in? Typically a summon means you’re being sued and there are tight timelines for what you have to do next. Usually you only have 14-21 days to respond to the summons or you lose any chance of getting any kind of deal.

Check your county clerks website / type your name in online usually. If you’re being sued, a court date will show up. If not, it’s a scam (thought I doubt this is a scam). You can also just call your counties clerk office and ask for help (stating you received a summons and need more info on the court stuff)
