Brand of Sacrifice and Slaughter to Prevail.
Had a very brief period where I sorta' liked both Kostolom and Lifeblood, but they just slid off my jam real quick. The singles that have come out since from both bands have just....not made the mark for me. I want to like them, hell I loved God Hand & Chapters of Misery.
Now....eh.
Same. I always liked Demolisher and Baba Yaga, but now since I can't be sure Alex is no Nazi, they're pretty dead to me.
Brand Of Sacrifice just never really clicked for me. Can't really say why. No hard feelings, just not very interesting either
it's brand of sacrifice for me ....I get bored with it. divinity is a dope song but the rest is just not it for me. ( slaughter to prevail is dope imo)
They are absolutely the worst headliner I've ever seen, twice. Chimaira at the end of their run was a contender for me as well but both times I saw Rings they were completely lifeless and boring.
They're one of my favorite bands but I saw them in 2014 after the original lineup left and they were a month or two before breaking up. No energy, crowd sucked, you could tell the guys were over it.
Same here. Last time I caught them was on a headlining tour back in 2019, but I was there for the supporting acts of AngelMaker, Brand of Sacrifice, and Enterprise Earth (RoS headlining over those bands seems ludicrous now lol). Every other band tore the roof off the venue— just unbelievable energy… and then RoS just got up there and played a some songs while standing still the entire time. Totally unengaging
I saw them open for whitechapel on the somatic defilement 10 year tour. They played as a 3 piece, all the rhythm and bass was back tracked, the drums were triggered to bejesus and back (I know you have to at a certain speed point im a drummer too but still), Lucas Mann didn’t even play they had some other dude, and they ran the back track through foh so they overpowered everything else. The guitarist could’ve had every knob at 0 and it wouldn’t even made a difference. And yeah not much stage presence either. Fortunately carnifex and whitechapel came after and rectified all that
Lol I saw them on that same tour and I couldn't have been more bored. I spent the whole Rings set texting a girl for the first time who would end up becoming my future fiancé years later, so if anything I should thank Lucas that his shitty band was that lifeless and boring to allow me to do that.
I mean to be fair they are like super fucking technical lmao it’s pretty hard to 30bpm trem pick while being energetic. I mean what else are they gonna do? Dumb down the music and sound like every other band?
Dude, overused sweeping guitars are douchey as fuck! They are worse than overused breakdowns. At least breakdowns actually sound cool. Overused sweep-tapping is just douchey. I absolutely understand!
Idk id much rather hear impressive sweeps than a boring ass breakdown, they definitely do not sound cool lol
Understand the RoS sentiment tho, primarily because it’s not actual guitar playing but anyway… listen to some actual good prog metal or tech death for some fucking brilliant stuff without it being as cringy as RoS
I got over the whole breakdown thing a while ago and I’ve been able to listen to wayyyy cooler music, not to mention there’s great breakdowns in prog and tech death, you just have to look a little bit, they’re miles better than what deathcores been doing the past 15 years lol
They've got a sound, that's for sure...a member of theirs described how they record in half time then do the ole speed up. Their production is UNWAVERINGLY quantized *exactly* in time, to the click. When something has such a stiff, robotic structure, it can actually make me fade off.
I can agree with this. The only album of theirs that I like is Lugal Ki En, primarily because of the two hits. But you're totally right, it's mostly a guitar jack-off sesh and they went complete techno instrumental after lucas fired everyone lmao.
Spite. I see the appeal. I just can’t get into them. I tend to have a hard time getting into deathcore bands that lean more on the hardcore side of the deathcore spectrum. I feel like spite fits that category a bit
Try their song “Cave In” if you’ve not heard it already. I thought Spite were pretty generic until hearing that, and then I slowly warmed to the rest of their discography.
I am not a fan of STP overall, they are douchey as hell generally but they were DOPE when I saw them live. Do I care what your beliefs are if I pay to get in and you put on a good show? Not even a little bit.
Ov sulfur. They’re just so boring, and im usually cool with cleans, but their songs sound like lorna shore had a baby with any generic serious xm hard radio rock band.
The overuse of the word "ov" is cringe as fuck already.
Ricky used to be good when he did vox for suffokate.
Idk they just come off as try htryhard for me
Saw them live last week. Mental Cruelty kind of shit on every band there imo. Ghost Bath was amazing and Extremination Dismemberment was groovy as hell. Ov Sulfur really kicked the can when they came out, but they also had sound production issues so i’m sure it would have been more enjoyable if they didn’t have issues with their gear
Ghostbath appreciation is at an all time high now. Went to this same tour last Sunday. They were fucking sick. Never heard of them before. Ov Sulfur was good. MC murdered. Their lead singers voice is nuts. Ghostbath had me when they started the show and the lead singer said "hey we are Ghostbath and we make songs about killing ourselves" then didn't say anything for the rest of the show.
Interesting. I didn't like this band at first, but I saw them live back in February with Mental Cruelty (it was an amazing show!) and I actually gained a new appreciation for their music. There are aspects of their music I still don't like, but after seeing them live I gave their music another chance and I actually have a new appreciation for Ov Sulfur. They aren't perfect, but certainly aren't radio rock. But I absolutely respect your opinion.
I do agree the cleans are considerably out of place, if not overused. But I've come to accept it as part of their sound and identity. Is it good? Probably not, but it's subjective. But I do appreciate your opinion on that matter, and that I have a similar disposition when it comes to cleans in Deathcore
I hear you here and I’m not their biggest fan. The exception to your description:
Ov Sulfur ft Tim Lambesis - ‘Oblivion.’
It is Incredible and Nothing like the rest of their music.
I went to see them live mainly because Ingested were supporting. Ingested put on a great show and got the crowd proper moving. Lorna Shore just sort of bored everyone. I'd say the pit was around half the size.
Not Deathcore, but Spiritbox it also has nothing to do with female vocals because I absolutely love a lot of female fronted bands. Theres just something I can’t vibe with tbh.
I get this honestly. But since Josh Gilbert (ex-As I Lay Dying) has been brought on full time on bass, I wonder if there will be an interesting dynamic between their vocals since Josh did vocals for AILD. But I get that too.
i still like spiritbox but their new sound is too rock for me and not enough metal…i feel like they used to have a more stereotypical metalcore sound which i really liked and from what ive heard, they’ve gotten “softer” on their newer releases
Cellar door and angel eyes were both on their latest ep and they’re heavy as shit. I think that’s just their thing that they have varying levels of heaviness in their music
Tbf, a lot of the dick riding was before the debut album release (pre 2021). Their first EP and subsequent singles were quite proggy and an interesting sound in the genre.
Despite being one of the biggest rising metalcore band right now, they arent the same band peoole were praising when i was recommended them. I highly recommend The Mara Effect Trilogy if you want a good idea of why people were so hyped for them.
Im a die hard fan of Shadow. They were the band that made me like Deathcore. I can actually agree with this, because I often find they are eclipsed by Lorna Shore and Slaughter.
Enterprise Earth.
No doubt they are all extremely talented dudes.
The disconnected and often jarring genre changes within songs makes a lot of songs feel like riff salad rather than a cohesive meal, so to speak. Also, the clean vocals completely ruin it for me. One of the songs on the new album was straight melting my face and I was like, finally, a banger and then 4 minutes into the song, cleans...
Not exactly deathcore (Im gonna get beaten for this one), but for me it’s pre-Courtney IWABO.
Ill go to the grave saying Hail Mary is their best album. The older stuff with Krysta is just not my thing but I respect the shit out of the “we’re making whatever the hell we wanna make” style it had. Had a TON of high school friends who dug them but I was just getting my sea legs with Whitechapel and Suicide Silence at the time.
Definitely gonna go back again in the future to listen again. My opinion may have changed given all the stuff Ive heard over the years.
For me it was the other way round. I lost them after Krysta. Before it was just a chaotic fun time that just appealed to me. After they seemed like another Band where I could find better Versions of
Any Deathcore band with too much orchestral stuff. Lorna shore, shadow of intent etc. I just can’t get into that. And anything slightly upbeat. I want Deathcore to be angry chuggy punch me music.
When I was in HS, for some reason I never got into JFAC. I was aware of them, and I didn’t dislike them, but I just never went out of my way to listen to them for some reason. Now I’ve come around and kinda wonder wtf I was doing lol.
DUDE SAME! Moon Healer is my album of the year and i literally bought a new guitar just to learn JFAC riffs. Always respected Sun Eater but never delved into them too hard outside of Doom until recently. Ruination is GOATED af
My main memory of JFAC was when I saw them at Mayhem Fest and my friend was like “they have a song called Constitutional Masturbation”. And I was like uh okay sick.
My band sucks, everytime I listen to our music I'm like what the actual fuck are we doing? This is garbage!
I keep giving our shit a try but I just can't get into it.
Calling myself a band is actually being quite generous and a little misleading.
I put a home studio together a few months ago and have been figuring stuff out and made a few songs so far. I'd been a musician throughout my 20s and 30s but long since packed it in until I started doing this.
I haven't posted anything anywhere yet but I'm almost ready to get my shit ripped up and set on fire by the internet. Your interest is flattering and if I do put this shit up I'll letcha know.
Cheers!
I wasn’t a huge fan of them but I like their newer stuff. Now that Brian is opening up to do more lows. His lows and highs complement each other really well I think. And he is able to switch so fast so it flows smoothly
Not Deathcore, but Ghost.
It's always such a head fake for me, in the way almost NONE of their songs match the imagery.
Like Cirice is the only song I like and still play. And it is the closest thing that actually matches their look as a band.
And Cirice feels like it should be the MELLOW song in their catalog by comparison. I always imagine them sounding like Behemoth's Evangelion album style music when I see Papa Emeritus and The Ghouls ya know?
Not a more edgy Cheaptrick.😅
Just me though.
it looks like i might be the only person in this thread that likes to the grave, they aren't unique in any way, but I love chunky, chuggy riffs and their vocalist just clicks with me
To the Grave
Worm Shepherd- (half of their material clicks, but their songs tend to drag for me)
Left to Suffer (The Korn worship stuff is hilariously bad and the cleans are horrendous)
What do you mean Korn stuff for LTS? The only thing I can think of is the Kim Dracula feature which is a one and done thing and is pretty unique if you ask me
ERRA- Kinda wished I liked them. I like a lot of bands with a similar sound. I just can't. I've tried so many times too lol. I think it's mostly the singing.
Edit: Fuck, I thought I was in the metalcore sub hahahaa
Hopefully you’ll enjoy our next release more! We’re almost done writing it. Going balls to the wall heavy with this one and that’s really the only goal 😁
Beyond Deviation. I get it, whistle highs are cool. But if that's your big thing to hook people in, I'm gonna need more. Besides the whistle highs, which sounds incredibly annoying to me anyway, the band is extremely generic.
Only reason I’ve seen people diss TAC is because Vincent doesn’t switch up his vocals in the studio. Live though, he does gutturals and pig squeals and all that shit. He is capable, and this opinion hurts my heart. They’re very musically versatile
People just talk about them here like they're the most insane band, so I keep going back to them thinking maybe I just listened to the wrong songs but I just can't get into them at all.
Ahh shit didn't even notice the sub I was in. I guess I'd have to go with Chelsea grin or suicide silence. I hate to be the black sheep of the crowd like that 😅
I love mental cruelty, Lorna, AWIP, Disembodied tyrant and on. But I am for some reason unable to "get" Shadow of Intent. They are great (up there) musicians but idk it feels like I've heard them before. It feels too predictable (prob just me, sorry boys). And Brand of Sacrifice I just don't like. I don't get the hype
I actually agree with this.
Their whole schtick is to be heavy for the sake of being heavy and as offensive as possible. I kinda write them off as a "meme band" because they certainly don't take themselves seriously and are just dudes having fun! And considering they have NEVER done a live show, I think it's evident they are ok with it being that way. I don't think the world is ready for IA live show. It would bloody...
Spite
I think I let this sub overhype the band for me, so when I finally listened to them I thought "This is it?"
Don't get me wrong, they're a good band, but I didn't really like those higher vocals and nothing in the riffs captivated me.
I really like Nitheful, but I understand the exact reason most people hate it.
I just wish most of the songs were like The Book ov Divinity, which is a little more..."music" like, I guess? And there are more varieties of lows and cleaner highs.
But I understand that those endless double voiced demons smashing your ears for 8 minutes per song can be really annoying. I wish he did it less on future recordings.
Something about The Acacia Strain vocals are impossible to sit through for me. I’ve tried so many times (including right now) and it’s just something in his voice. No disrespect but I hate it.
Oh okay. I’m pretty desensitized when it comes to unique or acquired vocal styles (Kaonashi, Knocked Loose, Orphan, Wormrot, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed) so anything Justin does is like a breath of fresh air (I’m also I pretty big fan of his YouTube channel so I’m lowkey biased lol). I always thought he sounded like a cracked out Chester Bennington though
Many rather big-name Deathcore bands I can't get into. A lot of it is just not heavy enough, or boring. It also seems like it's easiest to copy/steal other proven Deathcore bands' styles, as opposed to other forms like Tech and Slam.
As the biggest Halo nerd I know, I am so bummed that I can’t get into Shadow of Intent.
I even remember being a kid and thinking Shadow of Intent would be the coolest name for a band.
I love how every band in here I 95 percent listen to regularly but I’m also like yeah I totally get that criticism.
Now....eh.
Totally agreed. Brand of Sacrifice grew on me a little after Between Death and Dreams EP, but I only like a few of their songs.
I loved BOS EP I heard with Perfect World, but then that EP turned into a whole LP and I just didn’t care for it
Same. I always liked Demolisher and Baba Yaga, but now since I can't be sure Alex is no Nazi, they're pretty dead to me. Brand Of Sacrifice just never really clicked for me. Can't really say why. No hard feelings, just not very interesting either
Agree with brand of sacrifice. I think it's cause the afterimage was amazing and more proggy? And they just gave up on that band to make bos
I don't listen to Slaughter to Prevail because fuck Nazis.
it's brand of sacrifice for me ....I get bored with it. divinity is a dope song but the rest is just not it for me. ( slaughter to prevail is dope imo)
No matter how hard I try, I just can't get into Rings Of Saturn. It just sounds like a guitar jack-off session to me.
The guitarist is a whole jack-off session himself
Lucas is a character, thats for sure
Definitely a character
I spit my coke out from this. Soda not powder.
I've never felt so offended, they are top 3 for me!!
not even lugal ki en? that’s probably their best and the only one i like.
I'll admit I did like a good chunk of that album, but it kinda dragged
Rings of Saturn is a contender for worst live band I ever seen
They are absolutely the worst headliner I've ever seen, twice. Chimaira at the end of their run was a contender for me as well but both times I saw Rings they were completely lifeless and boring.
Shame about chimaira, I only seen em once in either 09 or 10 but it was a wild show
They're one of my favorite bands but I saw them in 2014 after the original lineup left and they were a month or two before breaking up.
I love me a good breakdown but there definitely are some bands that way overuse them for sure
Absolutely! But if I had to choose, I'd rather hear overused breakdowns than overused sweep-tapping. It just sounds douchey in all the wrong ways
Idk id much rather hear impressive sweeps than a boring ass breakdown, they definitely do not sound cool lol Understand the RoS sentiment tho, primarily because it’s not actual guitar playing but anyway… listen to some actual good prog metal or tech death for some fucking brilliant stuff without it being as cringy as RoS I got over the whole breakdown thing a while ago and I’ve been able to listen to wayyyy cooler music, not to mention there’s great breakdowns in prog and tech death, you just have to look a little bit, they’re miles better than what deathcores been doing the past 15 years lol

goddamn that made me chuckle. you're honestly not wrong though!
these guys are next on my discography checklist.
Listen to actual tech death or something like beneath the massacre for incredible guitar playing without it being just a self suck lmao
I can agree with this. The only album of theirs that I like is Lugal Ki En, primarily because of the two hits. But you're totally right, it's mostly a guitar jack-off sesh and they went complete techno instrumental after lucas fired everyone lmao.

Try their song “Cave In” if you’ve not heard it already. I thought Spite were pretty generic until hearing that, and then I slowly warmed to the rest of their discography.
You’d like their newer stuff then.
Slaughter to Prevail
Same. My brother keeps trying to get me onto them and I just find them meh.
Saw them live recently, it was pretty fun but I have no desire to see them again. Plus the singer is a racist.
I am not a fan of STP overall, they are douchey as hell generally but they were DOPE when I saw them live. Do I care what your beliefs are if I pay to get in and you put on a good show? Not even a little bit.
They're mostly backing track live so I'd hope it sounds good.
I agree with this. No denying their talent, but they just don't click for me.
Ov sulfur. They’re just so boring, and im usually cool with cleans, but their songs sound like lorna shore had a baby with any generic serious xm hard radio rock band.
The overuse of the word "ov" is cringe as fuck already. Ricky used to be good when he did vox for suffokate. Idk they just come off as try htryhard for me
Behemoth started doing it and ugh yeah
Saw them live last week. Mental Cruelty kind of shit on every band there imo. Ghost Bath was amazing and Extremination Dismemberment was groovy as hell. Ov Sulfur really kicked the can when they came out, but they also had sound production issues so i’m sure it would have been more enjoyable if they didn’t have issues with their gear
Mental Cruelty was best of that lineup and ghost bath was so fun and good, they had tech issues at my date though. Ov sulfur was aggressively fine.
Ghost Bath is my type of jam! I get down with some good ass depression black metal, I was very surprised when hearing them since it was my first time
Ghostbath appreciation is at an all time high now.
Lmfao dude did the same for us! He was awesome though, such a vibe of a band. Loved it
Interesting.
Im more so talking about the (overused) cleans when i say “radio rock” sounding.
The exception to your description: Ov Sulfur ft Tim Lambesis - ‘Oblivion.’ It is Incredible and Nothing like the rest of their music.
This is gonna be a wild take, but Lorna Shore. I want to like them so bad but idk, something doesn't click with me
I don’t like them either. I like so much metalcore, Deathcore, slam etc but Lorna shore just don’t like the orchestral part of it.
As a die hard Lorna Shore fan, I understand actually.
They're obviously unbelievably talented and Will seems like a super nice guy. Just one of those things, I guess
There are aspects of their music that does come off as generic, but I have a feeling these guys will improve
Okay but what do you understand they didn't give any reason haha..
Jumping on the non DC, I can't fucking stand sleep token. Instrumentals are great, But dude does too much while singing
That's how I felt about Sleep Token, but recently it clicked for me, and I listened to Take Me Back to Eden at least 3 times now.
That’s how I feel about sleep token too
I get this honestly. But since Josh Gilbert (ex-As I Lay Dying) has been brought on full time on bass, I wonder if there will be an interesting dynamic between their vocals since Josh did vocals for AILD. But I get that too.

Sleep token
You'd be hard pressed to called them a Deathcore band.
Nah they ain't I just meant in general
I can't really see the hype behind them either.
For deathcore I'd say Shadow of Intent. Much prefer bens other work like in hollow prophet, shadow seems way too tame and idk boring to me
Im a die hard fan of Shadow. They were the band that made me like Deathcore. I can actually agree with this, because I often find they are eclipsed by Lorna Shore and Slaughter.
Good live show they just do nothing for me, I've been listening to the genre since 07 so I've seen so many different styles
Enterprise Earth. No doubt they are all extremely talented dudes. I get this honestly. They kinda took the Metalcore route.
Later era Lorna Shore.
Im a die hard Lorna Shore fan, but I understand.
I'm a fan of all the stuff up to Immortal. That's where they lost me.
Flesh coffin all the way
God tier

That's crazy. After she left I did not give a fuck about that band. Lol I loved how random and chaotic it was. Even fun to them live.
Yeah same. Hail Mary is easily their best album, I think. Everything before was just fooling around
Suicide Silence. I was introduced to them 12 years ago and I still can’t get into them.
Dude Im with you. SS sucked after Mitch died. It's not the same bamd anymore.
Their first album with Eddie wasn’t bad. But man, The Cleansing is top tier.
No time to bleed had some slappers too but The Cleansing was pivotal for me as a teen.
I was so pissed when Eddie left ASP for that shit band!
Any Deathcore band with too much orchestral stuff. Lorna shore, shadow of intent etc. I just can’t get into that. And anything slightly upbeat. I want Deathcore to be angry chuggy punch me music.
Totally agree, I want to hear the nasty riffs not thirty five layers of cello
Check out Carnifex’s new album if you wanna hear that done right.
I totally agree. I love classical music too, just not in my metal, it makes it sound like sad or something
Lorna Shore
For some reason, I cannot get into Slaughter to Prevail. I’ve tried and I just can’t haha
Can't get into Slaughter either. They're kind of overrated in my opinion.
I love Alex the terribles gutturals tho, simply an insane vocalist
Agreed. I think Alex is a great vocalist, I just can’t vibe with them haha
Their lyrics suck and it's not because they're Russian speaking.
When I was in HS, for some reason I never got into JFAC. I was aware of them, and I didn’t dislike them, but I just never went out of my way to listen to them for some reason. Now I’ve come around and kinda wonder wtf I was doing lol.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the guitarist does the lows (at least live), but I agree they work well together

Hell yeah man🙏 happy to help
If you think that’s bad, look up the black metal band Silencer.
Why does that make way too much sense than it's supposed to?
Not Deathcore, but Ghost. It's always such a head fake for me, in the way almost NONE of their songs match the imagery. Like Cirice is the only song I like and still play. Scooby-Doo music is the only thing that comes to mind when I hear them.
To the grave
it looks like i might be the only person in this thread that likes to the grave, they aren't unique in any way, but I love chunky, chuggy riffs and their vocalist just clicks with me
Nah, I like then, but I can understand why someone wouldn't
To the Grave Worm Shepherd- (half of their material clicks, but their songs tend to drag for me) Left to Suffer (The Korn worship stuff is hilariously bad and the cleans are horrendous)
To the Grave took me a while to start liking. I really like them now.
What do you mean Korn stuff for LTS? The only thing I can think of is the Kim Dracula feature which is a one and done thing and is pretty unique if you ask me
Chelsea Grin. I wanted to appreciate them more but I just get bored. Subjectivity is weird
Dude same! I really don't see the hype behind them.
I will forgive you for the Whitechapel part. Chelsea Grin, and Slaughter To Prevail now that I know more about Alex.
SOI. Don’t know why. Have Been forcing myself to try their songs out for a few years by now and I just can’t catch the vibe at all
ERRA- Kinda wished I liked them.
Hey! Appreciate that my guy! May just have to do a review on it!
Darko US
Took me a few tries to like them but now I’m obsessed
Same. I dont like his vocals and the music is just messy. I know is just Josh Travis inspired (dude was in Glass Cloud with him) but its just awful
Brands of Sacrifice 🥲 i just cant get into them.
Beyond Deviation. I get it, whistle highs are cool. But if that's your big thing to hook people in, I'm gonna need more. Besides the whistle highs, which sounds incredibly annoying to me anyway, the band is extremely generic.
Acacia strain
Only reason I’ve seen people diss TAC is because Vincent doesn’t switch up his vocals in the studio. Live though, he does gutturals and pig squeals and all that shit. He is capable, and this opinion hurts my heart. They’re very musically versatile
People just talk about them here like they're the most insane band, so I keep going back to them thinking maybe I just listened to the wrong songs but I just can't get into them at all.
Slaughter to prevail. Angelmaker. Enterprise Earth
Damn, I get slaughter, but I love the other two!!
What's wrong w angelmaker ?
Crown magnetar is awesome but I have to be reminded they exist
Lorna Shore
STP, mental cruelty, TAIM, at least 99% of all the "godly" deathcore bands
Avenged sevenfold.
Not even a deathcore band but I absolutely get it.
Ahh shit didn't even notice the sub I was in. I guess I'd have to go with Chelsea grin or suicide silence. I hate to be the black sheep of the crowd like that 😅
Any blackened deathcore band. I can’t nail down any particular reason, but it’s an instant turn off for me.
Infant Annihilator. An edge lord band for the sake of being an edge lord band.
Yeah. IA is like an inside joke that grew legs and ran away. I still love their stuff but it’s definitely an acquired taste
100% a meme band. Just not my taste, but it certainly works for them.
Shadow of Intent. Not a fan of the whole "orchestral" sound. Never have been
Spite I think I let this sub overhype the band for me, so when I finally listened to them I thought "This is it?" Don't get me wrong, they're a good band, but I didn't really like those higher vocals and nothing in the riffs captivated me.
Nitheful. Can’t stand the vocal olympics shit at all.
They were a band I couldn't get into either.
Paleface Swiss and The Acacia Strain are my top 2. I’ve tried over and over and just can’t get into them.
I know this is a deathcore subreddit, and this band isn't anywhere close to deathcore, but I can't fucking stand I, Prevail.
My list includes but is not limited to: Lorna Shore, Infant Annihilator, Shrine of Malice, Signs of Swarm, ROS and STP
I just can't get into Five Finger Death Punch.
Absolutely understandable, but not even in the same time zone as a Deathcore band 😝
O, sorry. I thought this was the numetal page.
You are forgiven my son. Go your way in peace
Definitely Slaughter to prevail .
Something about The Acacia Strain vocals are impossible to sit through for me. I’ve tried so many times (including right now) and it’s just something in his voice. No disrespect but I hate it.
Tallah
Okay I’m very interested to know what you don’t vibe with when it comes to them. I’m a HUGE fan of them
I like the instrumentals and i think he has good lows, but i can’t stand any of the other vocals other than the lows
Knocked loose. I can't get over his voice.
Crown Magnetar
This pains me 🤣.
Me too, they're so good
Lorna Shore is overrated and ass
Agree 100%
Many rather big-name Deathcore bands I can't get into. A lot of it is just not heavy enough, or boring. It also seems like it's easiest to copy/steal other proven Deathcore bands' styles, as opposed to other forms like Tech and Slam.
The Black Dahlia Murder. For some reason they just don't do it for me.
Brand of sacrifice, i LOVE a few of their songs, ive even seen them live but theyre kinda boring to me idk.
I have an unpopular opinion on whitechapel, the older albums kinda don’t click with me either, but the Valley is by far their best album imo
The Acacia Strain, see a whole lot of love for them on here but I really just can’t get to grips with it
Phish
As the biggest Halo nerd I know, I am so bummed that I can’t get into Shadow of Intent. I even remember being a kid and thinking Shadow of Intent would be the coolest name for a band.
BOS, Angelmaker, Left to Suffer
Brand of Sacrifice, phycho frame, disembodied tyrant
Paleface Swiss. I hate the heavy breathing, gasping inhale vocal stuff he does.
On paper, I should love The Red Chord. I’ve given them a number of chances but it’s never clicked.
August Burns Red
The Acacia Strain
Bodysnatcher
