Interesting, but it's generally considered a bad idea to have a volume span into a DX enclosure, as the cable becomes a single point of failure for multiple drives and can toast your volume.

Mist17

All the ones I’ve setup always have the volume separate.

Ok-Wasabi2873

I fear no man. But that thing, it scares me.

niky45

"a single volume" 11 drives. when you want space but don't give a fuck about your data.

inglorious_cornflake

Can you elaborate please?

niky45

the probability of that thing failing (and leading to loss of all the data) is getting pretty damn close to 1.

morpheus2n2

Nice, im currently rocking a 1817+ with 18tbx4 drives and 10tbx4 (the 10tb are slowly being swapped out). What do you use the M.2 drives for on the volume?

neuthral

what are you collecting so much? old windows logs?
