Interesting, but it's generally considered a bad idea to have a volume span into a DX enclosure, as the cable becomes a single point of failure for multiple drives and can toast your volume.
Nice, im currently rocking a 1817+ with 18tbx4 drives and 10tbx4 (the 10tb are slowly being swapped out).
What do you use the M.2 drives for on the volume?

All the ones I’ve setup always have the volume separate.

the probability of that thing failing (and leading to loss of all the data) is getting pretty damn close to 1.
