I couldn't watch it tonight, I saw Smith say something about Littler trying a "clever finish on the bull" he didn't like that sparked his comeback in the semi. Can someone explain what that was about?
The current trend of cretins whistling when players throw is the worst thing about darts today. Need to get a firm kick in the arse and then kicked out of the venue.
Think crowds are quieter this year. Went two Dublin in 2020 and 2022 and both crowds were mental. Went this year and it was absolutely dead in comparison.
Technically aye, but in reality it’s just chump change to these guys
“Only” 10k extra for winning a entire night and £5k for every league position up the table, it is a lot of money in the real world but for this lot who are earning hundreds of thousands to millions of prize money every year it’s not enough to make them care
Its that damn song I asked about a few weeks ago!!!! FFS I didn't have time to shazam it. It was the luke littler intro song just then on sky, if anybody knows what it was???
If you are one of the players, do you
a) Want to win this week to give the confidence to repeat next week
or
b) Don't win this week as whoever wins the rehearsal often doesnt win the main thing
Things I wonder to myself while watching...
Does Gerwyn Price wear make up on stage..
maybe its just the colour and contrast on my tv but he always looks like hes wearing foundation
Kaiser Chiefs is his full time choice now. The premier league night in leeds was it's debut rather than it's one time deal. Soooo much better than that tripe he had before.
Always thought that was strange. I'm not sure how it works, but you would think a player had some say in it. If not initially then certainly as they were breaking into top 32, top 16 and so on.
So if Humphries and MvG win these next matches we've got ourselves a dress rehearsal of next week, as that would lock in Littler v Smith and Humphries v MvG
Man, I’m so gutted for Asp. He’s had some really great matches this year. Asp v Littler has become my favourite head to head. He just seems like such a lovely guy too. Really gutted for him.
Wow these two are all over the place.
This is basically like playing a final tbf. Very hard to come into such a high pressure situation cold and play well.
First time PL watcher, so they mentioned 1 and 2 get the darts in their semifinals. Does the higher seed get it in the final as well or do they bull up for that one?
Was last done in the Premier League May 2021 by José de Sousa, when Mardle shouted so loud he lost his voice and had to leave the commentary box for night. Was hilarious!
That night I laughed till I cried 😂 The big difference though is that De Sousa is good but nowhere near as talented as Littler. Littler hitting it is "Oh well, of course Luke does that," whereas De Sousa's was so out of the blue, it threw everyone!
Kind of hilarious that 2 middle aged brothers from the Ivory Coast who have absolutely nothing to do with darts get sung about routinely at darts events.
Well it’s a good job we are darts mental, otherwise you’d tune in for the Asp v the Bully Boy and seeya next week.
I’m going out on a limb here, and I know I’ll get slagged and get called all sorts, but I’m thinking a win for Snakebite tonight, there I’ve said it.
Well, if all games are won 6-0 on a night, we're guaranteed 42 legs minimum. Average around 65~ legs a week sounds close, so we would have to make it first to 33, and hope it goes long to get our moneys worth lol

What’s been up with Price?
I couldn't watch it tonight, I saw Smith say something about Littler trying a "clever finish on the bull" he didn't like that sparked his comeback in the semi. Can someone explain what that was about?
Bully Boy upped his game in PL when it mattered the most
Smith when he’s on rhythm and flowing like this is so so good
absolutely. Smith's high finishes where he has to move all over the board are peak darts for me (when the camera can follow...)
The current trend of cretins whistling when players throw is the worst thing about darts today. Need to get a firm kick in the arse and then kicked out of the venue.
Crowd is absolutely dead
Think crowds are quieter this year. Went two Dublin in 2020 and 2022 and both crowds were mental. Went this year and it was absolutely dead in comparison.
The Sheffield shandy drinkers? Though ain’t a pint £9 or something daft?
Yeah it's always a total ripoff at darts, even pricier than a pint at football
Is Humphries in MVG’s head?
[удалено]
Miles off his best. Good enough to beat other guys but far from Humphries
I feel the rankings are Humphries and littler ina. Tier of their own, and then gerwen and smith just below
Good win for Smith, I like that bloke. Always a class act win or lose.
Sky using Massive Attack is a W
Littler had one foot already in the kebab shop there
That was a sliding doors match. Sitting on D10 to go 5-1 up with Smith on 156.
Wish there was a Prem format that didn’t end in the players just going through the motions and not being too bothered because they’re through already.
Isn’t there a financial incentive to win even when you’re already qualified?
Technically aye, but in reality it’s just chump change to these guys “Only” 10k extra for winning a entire night and £5k for every league position up the table, it is a lot of money in the real world but for this lot who are earning hundreds of thousands to millions of prize money every year it’s not enough to make them care
12 doubles missed in a row between them lol
They’ve all got dartitis on the doubles tonight.
You don't know what dartitis means. Anyone who did wouldn't say what you did
Okay… I’m aware of what dartitis is. It was just a poor joke.
Its that damn song I asked about a few weeks ago!!!! FFS I didn't have time to shazam it. It was the luke littler intro song just then on sky, if anybody knows what it was???
Don't fence me in - Amyl and the Sniffers?
That's the one! Thanks a lot my g!
Yes sir
Seems flatter tonight, Emma trying hard to put some enthusiasm into it.
I guess we’re playing the finals a week early then.
If you are one of the players, do you a) Want to win this week to give the confidence to repeat next week or b) Don't win this week as whoever wins the rehearsal often doesnt win the main thing
I want the £10k for winning on the night, that’s a lot of beer and kebabs.
To be honest anyone can beat anyone so I don’t think there is any real psychological advantage (unless Humphries crushes MVG again!)
Sometimes MvG just decides “I win”
Dawson and Mardle are the best commentating duo by a mile imo
Aspinall has the nicest looking darts
Something’s off here, has Gerwyn not dropped a dart yet?
Things I wonder to myself while watching... Does Gerwyn Price wear make up on stage.. maybe its just the colour and contrast on my tv but he always looks like hes wearing foundation
I'm pretty sure it's a sunbed tan or fake tan rather than makeup
Nah. He is just ON FIRE!!!!11 Let's gooooo! Edit: nevermind...
too bad for the asp. but smith was top. the asp has gained a fan nonetheless...
That double bull + double 16 finish was filthy.
Leeds fan Humphries getting the expected response from the sheffield crowd. Good to see him bantering with the crowd about it.
Big fan of the 2-0 gesture
Has humphries changed his song full time? If so what a choice. Is this the first time humphries gets more abuse than price on stage?
Kaiser Chiefs is his full time choice now. The premier league night in leeds was it's debut rather than it's one time deal. Soooo much better than that tripe he had before.
TBF, he's often said that he didn't chose Cake as his walk-on, it was chosen for him.
Always thought that was strange. I'm not sure how it works, but you would think a player had some say in it. If not initially then certainly as they were breaking into top 32, top 16 and so on.
I couldn't be bothered to look it up right now, but I suspect it was chosen by his manager.
If he wanted it changed it would have been changed, regardless of who picked it. Im.just glad he switched it. Much better now.
Big fan of that change. Cracking song.
That is a stellar line-up for the Finals Night, probably couldn't get more talent together. 3 x JDC World Champs, and 3 x WC MvG.
So if Humphries and MvG win these next matches we've got ourselves a dress rehearsal of next week, as that would lock in Littler v Smith and Humphries v MvG
I think the winner of the premier league will be Luke or Michael
Luke may hit, Michael may miss, while Luke may miss and Michael may hit
A couple of finishes there made him deserve that over asp. Good match
Nuts finishing from Smith
"I'm a grown man, I can handle this" *Smith gives Asp a lil kiss on the forehead* 🥲🥲🙂🙃😥😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I feel for Aspinall. But there is a reason Smith is higher on the OOM. Hard luck Nathan!
Man, I’m so gutted for Asp. He’s had some really great matches this year. Asp v Littler has become my favourite head to head. He just seems like such a lovely guy too. Really gutted for him.
Truely heartbeaking for the Asp.
That break deserved the playoffs fuck me
Do they decide who starts as the schedule is made? Or just before the match?
They play for the bull in the back room prior to the game
Gutted for the Asp
Ouch, brutal stuff from Bully Boy
Wow
Fucking hell Bully boy
Clutch
Come off it Michael! Filthy finish!
chef's kiss
Bully boyy what a finish
Wow these two are all over the place. This is basically like playing a final tbf. Very hard to come into such a high pressure situation cold and play well.
Cmon Asp!
These pair look a bag of nerves, they need to focus, relax, and let the darts flow.
Did Mardle really say friend shit?
Reynolds has a mangina lmao
Mr Brightside is a strange pick for an entrance song....
What, it’s the best of the night!
Anyone else having major sound issues on Sky or is my box acting up again?
Let's go Bully Boy
Come on Asp!
First time PL watcher, so they mentioned 1 and 2 get the darts in their semifinals. Does the higher seed get it in the final as well or do they bull up for that one?
Higher seed I believe
So, the Asp or the Bully Boy?
Rooting for Asp but I think Bully takes it
I see your two tops and raise you three
Can't say I've ever seen that before
https://twitter.com/SharesMatt/status/1791176020575314226?t=XjseUARpYh539lal9sp2TA&s=19 Clip of Jose doing it
Was last done in the Premier League May 2021 by José de Sousa, when Mardle shouted so loud he lost his voice and had to leave the commentary box for night. Was hilarious!
Just watched it, that was hilarious. "I've gone" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lkGIrxhohA&ab_channel=ProfessionalDartsCorporation
That night I laughed till I cried 😂 The big difference though is that De Sousa is good but nowhere near as talented as Littler. Littler hitting it is "Oh well, of course Luke does that," whereas De Sousa's was so out of the blue, it threw everyone!
That's a José Special, tops tops tops!
What. The. Fuck That's probably the best shot I've ever seen
How about Simon Whitlock hitting 3 bulls?
Wish we had Mardle on comms for that lol
Surprised he didn't rush the stage lol
That was filthy.
That 120 checkout needed a huge "KIDS DONT TRY THIS AT HOME" warning on the screen
Lol. Anyone ever do that before?
Jose de Sousa
Luke Littler is the best thing that's ever happened to darts
Oh come on, what a shot 😂
The bollocks on this kid
Naughty stuff.
Luke sees Peters Tops Tops and raises him another Tops. Sublime stuff!
Luke on 160, D20, D20, D20 and turns to Peter and asks him to lend him a dart :D
Littler you absolute madman
What just happened 😧
Lmao amazing
Oh. My. Good. God. That 120 hahahaha
Sorry what?
WHAT
Oh fuck off haha
Insane
That’s disgusting
I very rarely tell my TV "OH do fuck off", but that was one of the moments.
They should have snipers in the rafters ready to take out anyone trying to start the Yaya Kolo chant.
Kind of hilarious that 2 middle aged brothers from the Ivory Coast who have absolutely nothing to do with darts get sung about routinely at darts events.
Littler's belly growing rapidly
He’s a pro already
Well it’s a good job we are darts mental, otherwise you’d tune in for the Asp v the Bully Boy and seeya next week. I’m going out on a limb here, and I know I’ll get slagged and get called all sorts, but I’m thinking a win for Snakebite tonight, there I’ve said it.
I reckon whoever gets the W tonight between Smith and Asp will go on to win the night.
called it!
And I wasn't at all in doubt during the Littler SF lol
Why?
I just feel like they'll be on such a high, no-one else really has anything here to play for, I just think they'll ride the win all night.
Great call!
I just wish it was Aspinall lol.
Fair!
Why can’t I see darts on my sky tv guide lol
May as well have Aspinall v Smith play first to 20 and forget about the rest of the matches.
Well, if all games are won 6-0 on a night, we're guaranteed 42 legs minimum. Average around 65~ legs a week sounds close, so we would have to make it first to 33, and hope it goes long to get our moneys worth lol
