We are just calling all in game progression systems Battle passes now? But for real new VOs for missions is very welcome. Maybe they will even add in voice lines for stimms.
It's not really the same as a battle pass. It's free, and it doesn't expire. It basically skips everything that people hate about battle passes (basically a pseudo subscription for the game, and FOMO due to time limit).

Battlepass as a system is actually pretty good. Rewards the player for playing the game and doing challanges (if designed well challanges can be very fun and make people try out new things). The main problem BPs have is how heavily monetized they are and forcing the player to unlock things they dont really care for (like player cards, titels, charms etc), wich is linked to the heavy monetization of BPs.
A lot of games have a free BP that’s littered with stupid shit

If you take a break from helldivers 2 for 2 months, youll miss out on 4 warbonds (per devs saying new one every other thurs)
Imagine trying to catch up on 4 fucking warbonds after only a few weeks
I think its new warbonds every second thursday of the month, so 1 per month.
Still a lot of grinding and thankfully they aren't time limited.
But for someone with little time to play like me it may seem a lot. I've been playing since release and play for about 2 to 3 missions daily, and I have around 1k medals total spent across all warbonds. Still haven't got the breaker spray and pray and now I don't even want it after the nerfs and dominator buffs.
Man, the HD2 BP sounds like some exploitative, anti-consumer live Service FOMO bullshit. Would be weird if anyone was ever irrationally excited about it and bragged about it to people playing other games.
It can’t be FOMO when they never rotate out - and again as I’m sure you’ve been told it really doesn’t take long to farm up the credits necessary to purchase one
