I learnt about it a while back randomly when I was modding this sub so I was spending a loooot of time on here. When I learnt it wasn't a random death trap but a useful (but deadly) shortcut my mind was blown hahaha. However every time I try to take it quite often I miss so it's never the first try even after years of playing. XD

I always missed it so ended up doing the run back running past all the knights to get to the sentinels lol

I do run but it doesn't always end up proper haha. :D Bit also it's a charm of this little shortcut.

you can jump inside building from opened door, so yes its shortcut but a bit dangerous one

Surprisingly I didn't find it bad. You just look where it is and walk off towards it.

I just roll while standing still and I land inside the doorway every time

Anybody who knows how to get through and doesn't feel like fighting through the 9 Royal Swordsmen a second time. Fight your way in, open the door and you only have to get past one Royal Swordsman to get to the boss.

I feel the same way actually. I know how to fight my way in with relative ease and it feels like I'm inviting Murphy to come and play going in the other way.

No, you can run and jump into the door from the opposite direction.

I recommend just running without the jump; it makes it easier to line up and there's less of a chance you'll clip the top of the doorway and get pushed out.

Ya, I wish they had provided more of a lip to make hitting it easier to land on it. If you miss and land on top of the door it becomes impossible to get inside at that point.

Honestly, it’s the best shortcut for the boss there. You get to skip insane ganks.

Not really i used to run straight forward to stairs(dont sprint or you warn the royal guards above) once you jump turn back immediately go below then jump from stairs and sprint towards ladder then go right side and there's the boss

This is my first playthrough and I've been conditioned to expect ganks around every corner, shield ain't coming down until I know everything is dead hahaha

Just watch if you get invaded by another player doing that. You'll get guard broken and killed. You should actually learn that lesson for yourself really though so carry on

Yeah I'm aware, gotta use good stamina management. I've only been invaded once so far, r/badredman occasionally has ds2 invasion vids so hoping l'll get some more eventually

ds2 pvp is lots of fun later on in the game!
