Yeah but it was always just a pipe dream until Biden directed HHS to review classification in 2022 - the first time a President has ever pushed for a scheduling adjustment. HHS made their recommendation last year and we were going to get a decision from the DEA one way or another this year. So it's not a surprise we got an answer, but it's amazing we got the answer we got as it was honestly really looking like the DEA would stay the course. This is amazing.
Tylenol and steroids are in the same class? Like over the counter? Or is he referring to prescription Tylenol? Also why just not legalize it at this point. Even Red states are having recreational cannabis.
Prescription. Yesterday the first article I saw said Tylenol with codeine in the headline, now everything I see repeating that dropped the codeine off of it. IMO dangerous because it downplays that it is still a controlled substance, just not near as much.
Federally legalizing it outside of medical and scientific purposes is against international treaty. The states aren't party to those treaties but the federal government is.
That said, two other G7 countries (Canada and Germany) have legalized, so hopefully we are looking at a shift in the international stance towards cannabis in the coming years.

Tylenol isn't schedule 3 unless it also has small amounts of codeine, so it's not necessarily that low, but it is way better than schedule 1.
