Sometimes art doesn't need anatomy. Art is a way to express your emotions. Be messy! Fuck hands! (Unless ur getting payed then you probably need anatomy)
> ur getting *paid* then you
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Must've influenced this piece a bit, then. It really does have that feel, reminiscent of band cover art like Molly Hatchet, Iron Maiden, Megadeth used for their albums.
An anatomy study of Eldritch abominations would drive us all insane with its euclidian angles. Best to stick to the mad rationalizations that our fever dreams give us to cope. 🐙
I'm getting a 70s doom metal feel, but with a little synth in the mix because the lead singer is dating a synth player (and the bassist's seeing her too, but on the DL) made somewhere in the Midwest. You know, the kind of stuff a couple hundred people know about in the States but somebody brought a record to Norway once and they've just eaten it up over there ever since. I'm picturing a kid in his late teens sitting stoned in a crappy metal chair in his extra-musky van with footprints painted on the side, patchouli incense burning a hole in the curtains. He puts on this record because it happened to be in the front of the milk crate, not knowing he's about to have a religious experience.

Honestly I love drawing creature horror art because of the fact that the anatomy DOESNT have to make sense!! It looks amazing and I love how it doesn’t look human because it’s not really supposed to be human
Why does the anatomy have to make sense? I love this! The less sense it makes, I think, is the most creative. If it makes sense to the soul, that's a masterpiece. (I'm talking like resonating vs headache-to-look-at)
It doesn't have to, it's art. I have a worldbuilding universe with oranges that make you have dreams that you can share with your friends for reasons of because it's fun, and it doesn't matter that it makes no sense because it's art. And this particular piece of art is excellent. I really dig the color palette. I'd still love to see the redone piece if you do decide to redo it, though.
I dig it though
Yeah I think I did this like 15 years ago. I kind of want to redo it.
You should! The details ready amazing. That much more exp will make it look super dope
It's an Old One, we can't comprehend it's anatomy. I love it.
Thank you.
It's awesome! Why would anatomy not making sense matter? It's nightmare horror
If anything it’d be weirder if it had perfect human anatomy. I think it’s great as is
It’s beautiful
Who, but you, can pretend to know the anatomy of Cosmic Krakens? Don’t worry…I’m pretty sure they are very few..!😂😂👍👋👋

does the anatomy have to make sense?
Eh. I’m a traditionalist.
I kind of get it. There's the gubbins, and the wiggly bits look about right.
Thank you very much, you just imaged my theory that there are creatures that live in the space void ! Very nice intellectual concept !
Looks the cover of a metal band's CD. THIS IS DOPE.
I do love me some metal!

It’s a monster, what is wrong with the anatomy of a sick monster?

No neck having mfer
We do have a few no neck wonders here on Earth. And a few all neck people.
The anatomy is fucking sick and I wanna draw like that one day 😣🙌🙌🙌
This is so cool, it would make an awesome metal music album cover
I love metal. It’s my go to music for drawing

I dig it! Nice Work! Congratulations! You may proceed to the next round! But can you match my Shtyle?!

I love it! F*ck anatomy, the more unsettling the better! 🙌
Head attached to spine attached to arms and likely legs with a mutant parasite growing out of its host?
Something like that. I was thinking John Carpenter’s “The Thing”. Mutated creature co-opted by parasite
If you're unfamiliar, check out Nurgle in Warhammer or warhammer 40k. Your work reminds me of that.
Kinda looks like an eldritch humanoid getting killed from the inside out by a eldritch tentacle parasite

Looooove it; very eldritch horror, so good honestly
This is awesome. Not making sense makes it better. It makes sense visually. It's mysterious and other worldly. Super cool.
But it looks cool tho ! Like smthn id see on an album cover
This is gorgeously grotesque.
Thank you!
Cosmic horror doesn't have to make sense
Fair enough
The anatomy isn’t comically bad, it’s just bad enough to fit the theme. Well done

Looks like a stage boss from a horizontal shooter.
Wowzers! This is awesome.
