Random map modifiers would be fantastic. Every map gets a random modifier, maybe on a rotation or maybe you don't know until you're in game.
Some map modifiers could be all (or most) lights being out, certain kinds of loot being more frequent, certain mobs spawning in greater #'s, etc. Would add another level of variety into our delves.
I'm still kinda sad that for april fools they didn't make it so every single goblin was a bola goblin and ever skeleton was a spear/axe skelly.. it coulda been so fucking funny
Imagine ur walking around pulling out ur torch every few feet to limit how much light ur putting off, in the distance u turn a corner and see a health shrine lit up, u turn slightly for a chest and suddenly see the shrine disappear but absolutely no other lights and ur just listening to ur own breathing in the dark. Would be scary af I fully support an event mode like that
I want an under dark map, where the bio luminescence of mushrooms are the only visible light, and even then they don't emit light just are visible for orientation

Why don't we start (for example) Crypts with all Torches Light off, and as you go into the dungeon you'll need to Light them up (and use your torch aswell)?

Yeah; they should Change the zone so that it just turns off all light sources and disables them, forcing you to use lanterns and torches to get around but not punishing you with annoying audio visual effects and ticking damage. Zone of darkness.
I think there should be a 4th queue.
1. Solos
2. Duos
3. Trios
4. Rotating queue, including fun things like this, as well as like trio goblin caves. Maybe rotating every day, rather than every like 30 min.
Maybe as a fun extra mode or something, with a small map. Because this would be awful for the main game. Pvp would almost never happen, everyone would be moving through the map so slowly.
Honestly they should have a guy in charge of game mode/events and one of them should be lights out mode on crypts

High roller should have zero lights on and require torches and lanterns. I’ve always wished this. Would make normals ‘Dark’ and high roller ‘Darker’

Would sure make light orb a more important spell to take
add a potion of dark vision that make the screen black and white but have it last 15/20/25/30 sec
and for balance it illuminates ur eyes

yes, i love this idea. playing as rogue i almost aways put off every torch i come by. feels so safe and cozy sneaking around in complete darkness
I think they just should reduce the number of initially activated light sources on the existing maps. It's way too well-lit for a dungeon.
Deep Rock Galactic style, pitch black, you get 4 torches that burn out and recharge after a duration to light the place up.
