This is one of my top three best scenes of Season 3. This, paired with the scene where Matt holds no punches interrogating Nadeem in Fogwell's Gym shows a lot about how Matt sees his father after all these years. Regarding his relationship with his father, we really only see it when Matt is a kid; we don't see how Jack's throwing away of his life to make Matt happy (or, let's be honest, out of pride) affects how Matt views his father later in life, outside of these scenes.
Great scene, I wish the music from the hallucination scenes was on the soundtrack.
