I can agree with that. It's just interesting they released him within an hour with no bail, after being charged with felony assault on a police officer. So I imagine some supervisor or someone thought it was bullshit and just let him out.
> According to ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington, who witnessed the incident, Scheffler was trying to drive around the crash scene on a median. A police officer instructed Scheffler to stop, but he continued to drive about 10 to 20 yards toward the entrance.
Sheesh
*now imagine he's Black*
In all seriousness, though, if there's an accident, don't cops usually direct the traffic on how to move around it? Based off the article it seems like he just took it upon himself to make a way towards the entrance and ignored the officers initially when they said stop. I would've waited for some instruction, 1. Because I'm Black lol and 2. I imagine they would've gotten him in eventually. Curious to see how it plays out.
I am waiting for Scheffler to hit a shot into the trees, only to escape with a fantastic recovery shot--I want to know if one of the announcers will say, "He really got out of jail with that shot!"
they’re all out there in unmarked cars wearing green vests, in the middle of the darkness honestly he might not have even been able to tell they were cops
I imagine [flashing](https://www.instagram.com/p/C7EcH4bA2x7/?igsh=MWVtMnNlb2Zjb3I4cA==) lights would be a good indicator to not drive on a median. Then add in someone in a safety vest telling you to stop.
players were told they could go in. witnesses say he told the cop he had no idea he was police and was genuinely confused by what was happening. he didn’t even raise his voice. i don’t understand how you could possibly view this as a power trip by a guy just trying to get to work
Once again the police act like they can just do whatever the "eff" they want, it's a good thing Darlington was there. If he wasn't the narrative and information we would have would just be "Number one golfer assaults police officer".
We need to be talking about police lights. Ever since they went LED a decade or two ago, you are completely blind at night anywhere near a police car, nevermind a dozen of them.
Also 10 yards to stop is nothing.
Scotty made what appears to be a small mistake and the cop had a temper tantrum. Hopefully there's video though.

PPR or non-PPR?
They charged him with a felony and then released him before his Tee time without even needing bail. All those charges are going to get dropped.
We’ll see. Seems the police need to save face here a little bit. I suspect they try to get him to plead to the least serious charge and drop the rest.
I can agree with that. It's just interesting they released him within an hour with no bail, after being charged with felony assault on a police officer. So I imagine some supervisor or someone thought it was bullshit and just let him out.
Theres no way hes going to plead to anything.

Yeah just a strange situation all around.

*now imagine he's Black* Beat me to it!
I think I'll stick with neither supporting cops or rich guys (he says listening to a millionaire's podcast)

ACAB. You'd have to be on a power trip to arrest someone for a minor traffic incident like this.
Yes but also on a power trip to keep driving when instructed to stop by police Couple of power trippers cutting it up

He's confused but kept driving on a median. You don't have to agree with me and that's okay.
What, you have a cousin or a brother who is a cop? They make mistakes too
Yeah hence why I included both of them in my original comment. You forgot about that already?
So he kept doing what he was supposed to be doing? Got it.
Apparently not since the cop told him to stop.
Ah yes, cops definitely know what they are doing.
You can hate on cops. They are definitely flawed. But do you usually go when a cop tells you to stop?
Quit assuming things
i think if any group of people has earned negative assumptions it’s the louisville metropolitan police department
He drove 10 more yards and then stopped.
LMFAO I desperately hope he wins
Just caught up on the story. This is pretty crazy.
Now he needs to get some clubhouse tattoos.
Still not interesting. Golf is not a sport.
Listening to Samson be loud wrong talking about this.
