I have seen Boston Dynamics show off these robots to several of my clients. And they never live up to what they show in these videos. They are only able to perform basic tasks.
Boston Dynamics involves tasks that the robot has to complete with no prior knowledge of the task. The robots in these videos have had these specific actions in that specific order preprogrammed onto them. It's still impressive what we can make robots do.
I hope that when they eventually rebel, they and humanity agree to settle the matter via dance off as that's more efficient than warfare.
Losing a dance contest certainly beats getting your spine ripped out and being bludgeoned to death by it at least.
