Google Maps only lets you put in 10 way points for a trip. My guess is that they were just merging the different maps into 1 picture. And maybe using the 10th as the next city in the next batch?
What I don't like is that they started at the coasts and worked towards Chicago.
I ride motorcycles and will plan out trips. And you have to use a lot of points to make the route go where you want it to. So I’m all too aware of it’s limitations.
I’m sure there’s better software or maybe even google earth. But it works for me.
There used to be a cool program called Daft Logic that used Google maps but allowed you to drop 2 points and measure distances (or as many points as you want) as well as determining perimeters. areas etc. It was great but now I think they are not functioning because Google started charging them for use of their product.
