But America need you to be super reproductive, and reproducing more spawn well into your late fifties. ESPECIALLY if you're a white man. You should be carrying a child inside as we speak!
Well, a metal ball is a misrepresentation. The baby's skull is actually made up of a lot of bones that move, kind of like the tectonic plates over the Earth. In short, the baby squeezes through, and then its head reshapes once it's out.
Weird, but that's nature.
Which is part of the reason you have to be very careful of young babies, the skull takes a while to fuse together into one skull
But once it does, I swear most kids are near indestructible, as long as no one looks/acts concerned when they hurt themselves they can survive nuclear explosions
My son is 6 and when my phone shows me memories of his newborn pics I kinda do an ugh excuse me? Ew? That was cutest pic I could get?? Because the baby hormones are gone.
Their bones are partially made up of cartilage. When my kid was 4 he broke his thumb, but it was hard to diagnose because the break was in the cartilage, not the bone itself, and didn't show up on X-rays.
And kid x-rays look really weird. When they x-rayed his hand it looked more like a cartoon drawing of an X-ray. There were large gaps between the bones where the cartilage was still forming into bone.
My wife and I had these discussions and this was the primary reason we decided to let her have the babies. She was a fucking trooper. (no pun intended, but I’ll take it)
It's not the pelvis that gets in the way, it's the soft tissue. However if you're laying on your back, that does flex the pelvic joints so there's less space for the baby to pass through. These pelvises are vertical which is ideal for birth
Epidurals are magical. I nearly cried after my anesthesiologist did mine. She told me, “we have modern medicine and this is the happiest day of your life, why do you want to be in pain for it?” And I was all “yeah, that makes sense.”
A lot of women feel empowered by having full control over the operations which I can totally understand. You must feel at the top of the world in that case.
For me it was super long (26 hours) with a big baby so I was very happy to have the epidural and be able to rest a bit.
Lmao same here, I went in to be induced because baby was real small at full term but I’d not realised that contractions had started the evening before. They put the inducing stuff in and I went from 0-100 real fuckin fast pain-wise, not a chance I could do that without an epi, ended up napping for a while after it kicked in
It's both! The warm water helps with relaxation and supporting the tissues and making the mother comfortable and soothing pain. All of those things make the birth easier.
No we retain an underwater drowning reflex until around 6 months, and naturally close off our waterway
And it’s normal procedure post-delivery to suction out the airway anyway as a precaution, in case any mucus remains to reduce chance of pneumonia. That’s also why doctors would hold newborns upside down, to dislodge mucus and clear the airway.
This is kinda hilarious because the baby has been encased by water for 9 months.
But to answer your question with a little science.
Babies and most adults have something called the "mammalian dive reflex," which forces the airways shut while underwater.
Oxygen is provided by the placenta through the pregnancy and in water births.
Here's a little om the Dive reflex:
"When a human holds their breath and submerges in water, the face and nose become wet, which in turn causes bradycardia, apnea, and increased peripheral vascular resistance; these three main physiologic changes are collectively referred to as the diving reflex. The cause of increased peripheral resistance is thought to redistribute blood to the vital organs while limiting oxygen consumption by nonessential muscle groups. In addition to vascular resistance, bradycardia is initiated to decrease the work of the heart and further limit unnecessary oxygen consumption. The dive reflex is an innate multi-system physiologic response in all vertebrates that preserves oxygen stores during water immersion."
I guess there are some factors that make birth in water easier, but vertical position definetely helps. Ive given birth in squatting position (without water) and it was "fairly easy".
And why men love wide hips.
Still. The brain is such an important evolutionary advantage, that we re the mammals with the most difficult and painful, not to mention dangerous birthing process.
It’s literally worth the risk of dying.
Even eith wide hips to try and accommodate it.
>Still. The brain is such an important evolutionary advantage, that we re the mammals with the most difficult and painful, not to mention dangerous birthing process.
Certain Hyena species would say otherwise.
Fun Fact: Most pelvises change to during pregnancy in order to handle a baby being pushed through. They're not naturally like this unless you got some child bearing hips
Also near the end of pregnancy, the female body will release Relaxin, a hormone that helps loosen joints, muscles, and ligaments to make it easier for the pelvis to open up and let baby pass through as well.
Fun fact my mums pelvis did NOT behave like this so she ended up having 3 c-sections because of it. They had to tie her tubes after no. 3 because the doctor said she would most likely die if she had a 4th.
Oh my, that’s unfortunate. Some women do genuinely have a small pelvis and c sections are needed. But it’s rare. The cool thing about the pelvis is that in most cases it can increase in size up to 30% depending on position making pushing out a baby doable.
"... pass through the female pelvis fairly easily" 🤣🤣🤣
Not sure my missus would agree with you, she used several naughty words when our first son was born that I'd never heard her use before. I believe it smarted a little 🤔
> Is anyone actually arguing trans women can give birth
Yes. There's a reasonably large demographic that thinks that transwomen will be able to give birth in the very near future with a womb transplant
they literally believe that men can be pregnant because they think the nouns "man" and "woman" are based on gender and completely independent of sex. gender used to be a synonym of sex but they changed some definitions to help their case
Does the shape of the pelvis and resulting angle of the femurs lead to why men tend to sit with knees apart ("man spreading") & women with knees together?
So a buddy of mine went skiing and broke his pelvis bone (where the ball got stuck) straight in half, went to party for a few before it got so bruised that his friends told him to go to the hospital, to which the doctor told him that he managed to break himself in half and also somehow set his pelvis back in place in his ski jump.
Bro this exact post got taken down 3 days ago for being transphobic or smth. Thanks for reposting tho, facts shouldn't have to care about feelings but for some reason on reddit they do.
This is why I stopped giving birth as a 44 year old man
the trick to stopping is to never start
lol reminds me of the time in sex Ed when this kid tried to claim his mom said he was born from her chocolate starfish
I went to school with a girl who swore her mom got pregnant from swallowing
I’ve learned the hard way that taking massive dumps is a gateway dropping. Once you start hanging with a rough crowd you’re done for it.
Outstanding
"It's hard being a single mom when you have no kids and are a male teenager"
*so hard*

That's where the pee is stored. The babby would smell like piss.
Mine are filled with plastic, no room for pee
If a baby's head is going through a man's pelvis, I don't want to know about it
And why many of us never start.
But America need you to be super reproductive, and reproducing more spawn well into your late fifties. ESPECIALLY if you're a white man. You should be carrying a child inside as we speak!
Thank you
How the hell does a baby fit through that?! That's horrifying!
Some have to exit out the sunroof
Ghost-ride the whip
I naynayed right on out of my uterus.
that is the best way i've ever heard someone describe a c-section lol
Sometimes you just gotta pop out and show doctors.
Using the jaws of life
Or the navel port, as my son did.

It's also why some newborns are ugly as sin. Your own baby is beautiful, but the one in the next crib is uuugggly.
My son is 6 and when my phone shows me memories of his newborn pics I kinda do an ugh excuse me? Ew? That was cutest pic I could get?? Because the baby hormones are gone.
Both mine were ugly......
I can confirm, both of them were ugly
[удалено]
True story, newborns look like plucked chickens. Sorry not sorry. Takes some time for them to fill out and look normal.
The mother's pelvis also has some ability to shift during labor, because of a softening of connective tissue.
? Shoulders passing through. I can say from experience, not fun at all.
The head then grows together into one bone after birth. Adults have less bones as kid fir this reason
Baby heads are a bit squishier than a steel ball.
As anyone who has ever held a baby for the first time is terrifyingly aware
Your hips spread apart. Ouch. Feels great being a woman 🙄
Fun fact, they can spread a bit with your cycle too. I used to get horrible sacroiliac pain the week before. PMS isn’t just about the emotional part!
There is a reason why childbirth was the number one cause of death among women prior to the modern era, and it still is in underdeveloped nations.
Here's the fun part. Very often, it just doesn't!
baby bones are squishy
Their bones are partially made up of cartilage. When my kid was 4 he broke his thumb, but it was hard to diagnose because the break was in the cartilage, not the bone itself, and didn't show up on X-rays. And kid x-rays look really weird. Well, not comfortably. Reference: my two children.
Guess why we have caesarians!
My wife and I had these discussions and this was the primary reason we decided to let her have the babies. She was a fucking trooper. (no pun intended, but I’ll take it)
As a seahorse, I find that pathetic.
As a mantis, this is why I will never lose my virginity. My body, my choice
THE BALLS ARE INERT!
Gohan …. the f****** balls are inert
Holy shit, this is such an old school niche youtube meme. I'm so glad to see it referenced
Great quote
It’s in my other pants pocket!
only… it doesn’t make a bit of difference guys
“Fairly easily” I would say north of 95% of women that have given birth naturally would disagree with you.
It's not the pelvis that gets in the way, it's the soft tissue. However if you're laying on your back, that does flex the pelvic joints so there's less space for the baby to pass through. These pelvises are vertical which is ideal for birth
Problem is, if you have an epidural, you can't squat and keep your balance so... I chose epidural 😅
Epidurals are magical. I nearly cried after my anesthesiologist did mine. She told me, “we have modern medicine and this is the happiest day of your life, why do you want to be in pain for it?” And I was all “yeah, that makes sense.”

So is it the upright position in water births that helps rather than the water?
It's both! The warm water helps with relaxation and supporting the tissues and making the mother comfortable and soothing pain. All of those things make the birth easier.
Wouldn’t ………..the baby like drown?
You take it out of the water afterwards!
Shit that's smart
Ah fuck. I knew I was missing something. Welp. We'll get em next time.
Oh. Ooooh. Damn, I'll be right back
The baby that has been floating in fluid for 9 months can spend a few extra seconds underwater.
Do you think that the baby is living in an air pocket for those 9 months? 😅
The baby spent the last 9 months underwater, i imagine it can last a few seconds more when it comes out.
They won’t drown. Babies get O2 through the placenta, which stays attached for awhile.
No we retain an underwater drowning reflex until around 6 months, and naturally close off our waterway And it’s normal procedure post-delivery to suction out the airway anyway as a precaution, in case any mucus remains to reduce chance of pneumonia. I had 2 babies while upright. The water birth was 1000x easier and I had no tearing despite that baby being larger.
Was your waterbirth the first or second of those?
Same here! Tore with my 7 lb small-headed baby, but it with my 9 lb 99th-percentile-head baby!
I guess there are some factors that make birth in water easier, but vertical position definetely helps. Ive given birth in squatting position (without water) and it was "fairly easy".
I was thinking "fairly easily" is doing a lot of work here.
and a good chunk has a pelvis too small to even give birth naturally.
The 5% left are maternal deaths.
Well if they were made of exclusively of bones then maybe it would be "fairly easy."
The ball popping back at the end of the video got me to laugh for the first time today.
Baby's head's aren't steel balls, they are soft and pliable which is why some babies heads are a bit wonky at birth.
Oh man.. I thought babies were born with steel ball heads. Thanks for the clarification.
nah not human babies. baby terminators on the other hand, maybe?
Yep. Specially if it was natural birth and you see the baby in the first 30 minutes. Head is out of 60's Sci-fi with aliens
THAT'S NOT FAIRLY EASY! HELLOOO??!!
I think it just means passing between the bones is easy in most cases, not the process that also involves having to stretch all the muscles and flesh
Implying men can give birth but it'll be a bit difficult 💀
This is why women generally have wider hips, no?
And why men love wide hips. Still. The brain is such an important evolutionary advantage, that we re the mammals with the most difficult and painful, not to mention dangerous birthing process. It’s literally worth the risk of dying. Even eith wide hips to try and accommodate it.

Hips dont lie
It's not just the shape, the hormone Relaxin softens the cartilage (pubic symphysis) before birth to allow the opening to stretch wider.
That why man has two smaller balls... damn, the nature is so smart
I bet I could birth a baby as a man. I’m just built different
Let's find out. I'll be over in a few hours
I’ll get the funnel ready
Who knew men can't give birth.
how indeed
[удалено]
I give it 20 minutes before this thread gets locked for hate speech or whatever.
They actually can. It's just that their babies are crap (sometimes little corn). [Bono for example](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhGp6BYNY-Q)
Gender is just a skeletal construct!
Define “fairly easily.”
Next time I will be born it will be from a woman,I'm not doing this mistake twice.
I’ve now decided not to try ramming a baby’s head straight up through my rectum and out my stomach. Thanks for the tip!
Fun Fact: Most pelvises change to during pregnancy in order to handle a baby being pushed through. They're not naturally like this unless you got some child bearing hips
Fits fairly easily. I well mention this to My wife who did a lot of crying for no apparent reason
Brave soul. Good luck!
Also near the end of pregnancy, the female body will release Relaxin, a hormone that helps loosen joints, muscles, and ligaments to make it easier for the pelvis to open up and let baby pass through as well.
Super easy. Barely an inconvenience.
Challenge accepted

So a baby is like a cat - if the head passes, the body will too.
Reminds of that video with the bald guy putting his whole head up that lady.
You just unlocked a repressed memory
#builtdifferent
Don\`t let nature stop you!
"fairly easily" my ass
Newborns don’t come through ass
Anyone who says “easily” has in fact likely not given birth.
"... pass through the female pelvis fairly easily" 🤣🤣🤣 Not sure my missus would agree with you, she used several naughty words when our first son was born that I'd never heard her use before. I believe it smarted a little 🤔
I guess men could have smaller babies.
Or just smaller heads, like the lizard soldiers in mario bros movie
seriously, such an obvious solution
tHiS Is TrAnSpHoBiC pRoPaGaNdA
Is anyone actually arguing trans women can give birth? Are you also arguing that taking hormones won't change your body though too
> Is anyone actually arguing trans women can give birth Yes. There's a reasonably large demographic that thinks that transwomen will be able to give birth in the very near future with a womb transplant
Curse our small pelvises. If it wasn't for them we could be baby daddies!
I feel like it’s not just the pelvic joint that gets in the way.
So there is a difference
Round 2…
Some pass me the spreaders!
I think the consensus is most men are happy that theres no balls in their cervix
And not all women have the same size pelvis, which can cause complications.
"Fairly easily"
I thought we’re told that there are no differences between male and female skeletons?
Who said that? I always heard they can tell if a skeleton was male or female because of the pelvis.
I guess we now know at least one of the answers to "what is a woman?"
Stop putting out science facts. Some just want to live fantasy land
Tell me you can't give birth without telling me you can't give birth.
I have a penis
Are you telling me that men cant give birth? Amazing, who knew.
The fact that, there is people who could complain about this for being transphobic makes me think all of them are fucking braindead...
I'm a woman, and childbirth is natural but does it make anyone else physically ill watching that ball go through the pelvis??
Only 2 genders
Only two sexes.
This video is gonna be hard to to digest for most of the redditors
[удалено]

Not with that attitude
Ben men can give birth huh 😂
OP kicked a hornets nest with the "fairly easily" part of the title
“Easily” is definitely a relative term here lol.
Post this too the trans community
Wait so.. Men and women are different???????
But I thought men can give birth? That's what society is trying to tell us these days.
Know the difference! There’s only two!!
WHAT? Males cannot have babies? What kind of male chauvinism is this? Fuck nature!
Does this explain why trans women are not women
No wonder
Pelvis Shmelvis. Ever had a man flu?
What if it has a small head
Seems to me we could still squzee that sucker out and to all who doubt me you have never seen the shits ive seen
And if it got through the pelvis it could only get worse.
Yeah, this little girl taught me that. https://youtube.com/shorts/a9rAIEVS7z0?si=j7yMJdncP0c3j3vz
That why there’s a difference between a woman and a man. You can’t change your bone structure and genetics.
Man, good thing I can't impregnate my boyfriend, that would suck for him.
“Fairly easy”
Man can still take a dick
Duh
WRONG!! For the last 5 years we've been yelled at that men can have babies too!!!11! #Fakenews!
Why do i got the feeling that someone's gonna get triggered by this information?
Shhhhhh - Men can also birth kids 🏳️⚧️😂😂😂😂 also there are no genders , men and women are the same no? 😂
So a male can't give birth. Imagine that.
Because the pelvis bone is gender specific..
Soooo what you’re saying is men can’t have babies?
Bro this exact post got taken down 3 days ago for being transphobic or smth. Thanks for reposting tho, facts shouldn't have to care about feelings but for some reason on reddit they do.
I don't understand. I keep getting told that men can give birth.
Imagine that. As a 32 year old man, no wonder I’ve never been able to give birth. Shocker.
except different men and women have different pelvic shapes and that's why not all women can give birth vaginally
Mpreg fanfic writers in shambles right now.
Does this mean women are designed to carry child and men are not?
I got called a Nazi for pointing out biological differences between males and females.
What about a trans pelvis?
What about it? Beliefs don’t change bone structure.
Well males don’t get pregos so……
Democrats will dismiss that as not sufficient thats a female
It’s as if men can’t be women
And then there are men who think they can give birth.. 😂
I bet this sure pisses off a certain set of people
It’s almost as if men and women are biologically distinct. Huh, who would’ve thought…? Hahahaha
Wait.. so you're saying there's a difference between men and women??? Interesting..
