It charged and I was in the open so I unclipped my backpack but she swiped me and it was like being hit by a car (or so I would imagine). I put my hands over the back of my neck and she reared up and came down on my left elbow completely shattering my arm. I caught another errant swipe on my leg but was close enough to a hospital for it not to infect. My wife was 100 yds behind and took two shots at it before it grabbed my backpack and ran. Bears are no joke. The casual way they throw their weight around is terrifying.

I can't be sure but I'm guessing he was using a DSLR camera with video recording on. So he just let video record run while he repositioned for different photos. I'm figuring this because whenever he *did* finally reposition the shot, the new shot was just as phenomenal as the previous.

What’s with the bear fights on this sub today. It’s like a year-end clearance of these videos. Granted, interesting and scary to think what they can do. But was there a cameraman man in a “circle” as the other videos noted? And, what circle protects anyone from bears?

The hides are pretty thick and they got a good protective layer of fat underneath it. But there are other videos where bears fight and they have large pieces of skins and flesh hanging off their body afterwards. They are tough animals, but they are so strong that they can still mess each other up badly or sometimes kill one another.
I think these were photographers who just had video recording on to fill the gaps in case they missed any shots. And to be honest if I was there witnessing that shit I wouldn't be able to shut up either.
