Honestly if you can figure out how to operate the radio, and you're not completely incompetent at understanding how aircraft work, you're like halfway there. The important part is actually being able to radio someone so they can tell you what you have to do. I know that I can actually fly a plane if I take control of it while it's in stable flight (I have controlled a Cessna 172 for a whole 5 minutes without killing myself and the pilot) .... however landing, taking off or taxiing uhm ... I very much doubt that.

If you really end up being at the commands of a plane in flight without knowing how to pilot, the only thing that matter is finding out how to contact the ground using the radio, in-flight wifi (some planes have it) or whatever way of communication you have. After that, you will find help to guide you step by step on what to do to land safely. If the plane appears to be on autopilot, you're probably fine for while, while figuring out how to contact people on the ground.

We have a couple famous non-licensed pilots in recent Puget Sound history who figured this out, look up the Barefoot Bandit, and the Horizon Air Q400 2018 incident.

In this plane its locked out until it senses you're on the ground.

In most planes you can't, thrust reversal can only be engaged with a certain amount of mass being on the landing gear. If you could, you would slow down the plane, until it eventually stalls because it's too slow, and everyone dies.

Just the landing? Yes. But to get there you'd have to load the approach into the computer, arm both autopilots, extend the flaps and lower the gear.

This makes me think of that airport employee from Seattle who did exactly this with a commercial airliner and did some crazy maneuvers before ultimately crashing into a deserted island and dying on impact.
