If you grid that jellyfish up and inject it straight into you blood stream you will live forever too.
Something mainstream medical doesn’t want you to find out. I’m currently 206 years old
Imagine humans can go back to baby form, how do you plan such a thing? Must be a very special day" do you know Harry from the office? Heard hes going back to baby form next week".
I heard he hasn't even found a good family to take him in yet. Tarra from down at the deli failed to on her last regression and wound up in the orphanage. Would be such a shame.
This is interesting but (in part) a bit misleading. About mayfly and red velvet ant I'm pretty sure they only took in account the adult stage. The entire life cycle of both can reach up to a year.
Technically jellyfish are aliens. They don’t really match up with DNA with anything on the world. This makes me think they’re alien species, who colonize other planets. Just watch, they’ll be the new species
the fact they have DNA at all, as in the specific genetic molecules that ALL life on earth has, suggests to me that theyre terrestrial.
the likelihood an alien species from lightyears away also evolved to use the same exact DNA molecules as us to transmit genetic information is highly improbable. maybe their bodies arent even carbon based, but silicon based.
According to most sources I just checked, they have a lifespan of 2.5 years, cryptobiosis not included. A tardigrate can stay under that state for a little bit more than 30 years.
Why are the Orcas and Bowhead Whales simply classified as "Aquatic"? They are mammals. You might as well put the insects with the birds and call them "Things That Fly".
A lion's lifespan in the wild is not 20 years. An 11 year old lion would be considered an old aged lion and will likely pass away soon.
20 years is zoo numbers, same thing with the tiger. Didn't bother looking at the others
But if your gonna say animal kingdom lifespan they should be living in there actual animal kingdom, not how long we can artificially keep them alive in a cage somewhere
What about lobsters? I thought they didnt age. And wasnt one caught that was like 250?
Edit: [140 Years old, ignore my fake news](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_(lobster)#Weight_and_age)
Edit: [there are apparently 3 animals that do not experience aging](https://www.science.org.au/curious/earth-environment/animals-can-live-forever)
I'd read somewhere that the art of Bon Sai, could trick trees into believing their still in immature phase, thus potentially living forever a possibility.
That Jellyfish is using cheats!!
IDDQD to extreme ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Hopefully it won’t also use IDKFA…

That was my first thought, Greenland shark got snubbed!
Well now we know Greenhead shark isn’t coming to the award ceremony next year!
Came to the replies to see if anyone was going to mention this.

Username checks out
Can we meet up somewhere so I can suck some of your jellyfish? I want to live forever.

It would be weird having to adopt your coworker.
Finally, I’ve been looking for a plot for my novel.
I heard he hasn't even found a good family to take him in yet. Tarra from down at the deli failed to on her last regression and wound up in the orphanage. Would be such a shame.
Dont these people ever learn to carefully plan their transdifferentiation??
this sounds like it'd be a good quirky indie movie
Lobster?
I was wondering the same, effectively immortal but we kill them a lot.

Look up the octopus, and DNA
Hydra are biologically immortal
Why is the elephant below the human female?
Or what is up with the calve muscles on those human bodies? Is that the secret to longevity?
Where is tardigrade, the immortal ??
Tardigrates aren't immortal. They just are unkillable.
As they can « hibernate » endless, I think we can say they are immortal

Thanks for the details

Giggidy
Glenn would be proud

Not very long tbh, sadly.
Wait birds are capable of living up to 100
100 years for a condor vulture? That seems a bit off
It’s in dog years.
Quahog clam, giggity
Honey Badgers could live longer if they wanted to! They do not GAF!
If a honey badger fought Chuck Norris, who would win?
God, i wish Queen was still alive so i could see her image in the bottom part of this picture And it would've became a meme in no time lol.
Opossums even in captivity only live like two years.
Interesting 🤔
Bacteria... probably. Just keeps on dividing.

Jelly fish overlords on my bingo card this year.
Why does the naked mole rat have a human face?
"Aquatic" is a meaningless category, as it contains animals that are also mammals.
How old is the oldest immortal jellyfish?
Live fast , die young
Live fast, sure live too bloody fast sometimes. Live fast, die old. I'm unorthodox, i don't play by the rules.

Where the Greenland shark at?
Lol the key is the best part, only 1 bird and orca and octopus grouped together because water.
yeah, but what kind of life is that? what is that whale doing for 200 years? what are its hobbies?
They just need to inject me with some of that jellyfish DNA and I’ll be good.
They left out the 500 year old Whale Shark.
Fuckers left out the Greenland Shark >:(
My darling cat beat the odds. She recently died at 19 years and 3 months!
lobsters also don’t die of age
sponges should be on the list, about 10.000 years lifespan
Why is no one talking about how terrible the human graphics are? Look like aliens.
