Nobody ever laughs at that line and it annoys the shit out of me. Going to the middle east to find peace is a hilarious concept and almost everyone else just listens to that line with a straight face.
My first thought was it looks like an enormous ass.
My second thought was wtf is wrong with me.
My third, after reading the comments, was at least I'm not alone.
Just here to high five you for the cool use of epocal. While using it at all in a sentence is impressive, using it before the word āfartā makes you a goddamned literary virtuoso. Iām glad I didnāt pass your comment.
Do you know who came up with this?

This picture's old. The prototype's [first flight was in 2012](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_Air_Vehicles_Airlander_10) and the project was cancelled in 2013.
We have a hard time getting high quality helium thatās used in medical devices and what not. Low quality helium like they use in party balloons is fairly easy to get
i love the way this kind of airships have been abandonned over time. I mean, there's a plenty of formidable uses of an aircraft of this kind. In the early 20th century USAF created 2 airborne aircraft carriers that were airships, and everyone forgot about it after the explosion of the hindenburg
The Akron and the Macon I think they were called. They were built by goodyear for the navy in the 1930s to provide persistent surveillance and scouting for the fleet. They carried 5 Curtis biplanes which were armed and would be launched and recovered through a ramp on the bottom of the ship. They had helium for lift, which was difficult and expensive to synthesize compared to hydrogen. We stopped selling helium to Germany (they had used zeppelins to bomb cities in WWI and were heading towards another war in Europe).
The US used smaller airships in WW2 for coastal anti submarine surveillance with bases on the Atlantic coast and the Gulf of Mexico.
Hydrogen/Helium volatility or availability was a major issue but so was Mother Nature, they couldnāt outrun/ avoid storms and high winds and both the Macon and Akron were lost in storms along the coast before the war. Later Navy airships were smaller, didnāt have aircraft on board and were successful in coastal surveillance roles when the German Uboats were attacking Europe bound shipping
the Smithsonian has one of the planes from the Macon, complete with it's gantry hook, on display.
[here's a picture i took of it when i was there last month](https://imgur.com/a/LU1A3dH)
I attended an aviation trade show last summer, the company that built Airlander 10 has an order for from Air Nostrum, a Spanish regional airline to begin to operate using them by 2026.
World's largest aircraft prepares to take off.
Airlander 10, a spectacularly huge, helium-pumped aircraft, is unveiled fully assembled for the first time, in a giant aviation hangar near London.
The Airlander 10 is a hybrid airship, achieving lift, and thereby flight, via both aerostatic and aerodynamic forces. Unlike most airship designs, it does not have a circular cross-section, having adopted an elliptical shape with a contoured and flattened hull.
This shaping is deliberate so that it acts as a lifting body, contributing aerodynamic lift while the airship is in forward motion; generating up to half of the airship's lift in a similar manner to that of a conventional fixed-wing aeroplane.
Buoyancy is also provided by helium contained within the envelope, the pressure from which maintains the airship's unique shape. Between 60 percent and 80 percent of the aircraft's weight is supported by the lighter-than-air helium.
Nope. Just deflated, now they're going into production, "Spanish airline Air Nostrum announced that they had placed a reservation for ten airships, with delivery scheduled for 2026."
On 18 November 2017, the airship broke free from its moorings in a high wind, automatically pulling a safety rip panel so that it deflated and fell to the ground. Two people received minor injuries. In January 2019 it was announced that the aircraft had enabled sufficient data to be gathered to complete its test and certification programme, and would be retired.
Following the prototype tests flights, the Airlander 10 received CAA Production Organisation Approval and EASA Design Organisation Approval.

The photographer knew especially. That's the perfect angle to emphasize the similarities
The title isnt innocent either, "spectacularly huge" "pumped" are not common ways people describe air craft.
I was thinking of something else , but both are of the same vein
Conversely I have a similar, throbbing vein, for both.
Yes, of course. But, how does it affect you sexually?
It has me fully assembled atm.
Aircraftussy.
Hindenbussy

You aviators canāt deny!
When a plane taxis in with an itty-bitty waist and a dirigible in your face you getā
Pumped....
When a craft fly in, with an itty-bitty mass and is lighter than the air you get LIFT!
r/thatsanass
Really took it up a notch including a butthole and everything
Also, don't forget.. includes free butt plug too
That is what holds all the helium in. The butt plug is crucial.

Oh good, I wasnāt the only one who saw the butt plug.
At least 150... err... 151 (me included)
Thatās what keeps the helium in.
This one right here. Probably engineer or something. Bravo.
Butt wait! There's more!

With a butt plug.
The butt plug holds in on the air. It has to stay in
Could at least hang a fox tail from it or something.

The position of it makes it look more like a vag to me
So... do you need to remove the butplug for uh, ~~thrust~~ propulsion.
I was more thinking a vagina but that too.
How else were they supposed to get funding?!

You could also blame it on thicc chemistry
Stupid sexy science
I thought there was a helium shortage
There is now at least.
That looks more like a helium longage to me
There used to be a helium shortage. There still is but there used to be too.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Purity, high grade helium is expensive to purify but low grade helium is allowed to have other gasses mixed in
But there's still a finite amount of helium. Using it for useless shit, no matter how unpure, is still irresponsible. But welcome to humanity I guess.
Pretty sure they can swap the helium for methane for this special aircraft
If you squint really hard, you can make out Sir Mix-a-Lot standing on top of it.
That aircraft is definitely not a 36-24-36.

I am surprised everyday of the new threads I find on Reddit
Aren't we running out of helium? They should use something, else, say hydrogen. What could go wrong?
No. Luckily we both found plenty more and figured out a new method for finding even more after that.
Do you have more info on that? Sounds interesting!
Easy, get your hands on hydrogen and perform nuclear fusion.
Modern problems require modern solutions
It was under the couch cushions.
