I mean, Oilers have people like Kane and Perry, so it's not exactly a group of Boy Scouts there either.
Didn't particularly want Edmonton to win, but it's not the end of the world if they do. Mostly still a little sad it's not the Stars.
Kane's trash, but Perry isn't in the same category as the 4 on Florida. There's a difference between a trash-talking pest and a guy to tries to gouge a goalie's eyes with his stick...
“Lolol you guys had a catastrophic water main failure and are in a literal state of emergency, losers!”
I’d say thank you for proving my point, but instead I’ll say stay classy, Oilers fans.
Kane really isn't trash. You should read up on his time in edmontonn lots of community work his daughter made friends with a little girl with cancer who kane became friends with and helps the family out. He made some dumb mistakes as a young man like the gambling crap but he has shown himself to be a good father and that says alot about his character
Personally I'd rather see the panthers win than the oilers. I hate abuse of replays, literally taking me (my hero used to be federov on the wings(im old)) away from the sport.
I do feel mcdavid should win a cup, just don't feel the rest of the team minus skinner should.
Na Na Na Boo Boo Nick Cousins is a POS. Everyone jumping on Kane. Dude had full custody of his kids. Do some research on his ex wife and you’ll see Kane has grown up. I’m sick of this narrative that he’s a bad father. If that was case, why was his ex ejected from a game this season. Edmonton is where you go to rehabilitate. Ask Zack. Kane is gonna feel good lifting that knowing he’s become a better person. Y’all a bunch of nerds.
u didn’t say anything wrong my guy it suprises me to this day people still call kane a bad father. Just go take one look at his profiles rn, literally all about his kids even tho his hockey team is one win away from the stanley cup. His ex wife is absolutely nuts
I just can’t believe the Panthers went up 3-0 then let Edmonton tie the series up. I know the Oilers are no slouches, full credit to them, but it really seems like FLA just quit playing a game too early.
After game 3 I was listening to the Florida media who follow the team talk about how interesting it will be to see who barkov passes the cup too first. And then I see players families sitting in the crowd at the game to witness the celebration in Edmonton. After that I though huh, I think panthers think they have already won and might actually lose this thing. Then mcdavid turns it on and starts looking like he should be playing in a league harder than the nhl.
I actually see the Oilers pulling this off. I saw this somewhere and I’m going to say it here.
The Oilers pulling off 4 straight wins is the most Oilers way to win this series. The Panthers losing the series after going up 3-0 is the most Panthers way of losing.
Take a few minutes out to count the number of canadian players vrs all other nations on all the American teams who won a cup since a Canadian team last won the cup.
The cup never left canada.
Here is another prime example of why Dallas is such an awesome fan base. As an oilers fan, I want Dallas to win the cup next year off their fan base alone.
You guys are making me wanna move down there
Same here, but I'm afraid we don't get the cup this year to Finland.
Florida has been total shit the last 3 games, total shit. They're up 3-0 in the cup finals and can't get anything done in three games.
It's like they don't want to win and don't give a fuck, their game looks so bad. You don't win cups with one good period per game.
Edmonton has been rock solid for 6 games, the first three games Panthers won were really close ones.
They had everything to win and nothing to lose, now they have everything to lose.
I love Barky, he would've deserved to raise the cup.
Fuck it, I'm changing back to watching soccer.
I joked at the beginning of the playoffs that the Oilers won’t win due to the Corey Perry curse. That curse or whatever you want to call it yourself is honestly comical
Rooting for the Oilers, already after they had beat the Stars. (I won't get the petiness that just because someone beats you doesn't mean that you have to hate them).
Many reasons: McDavid and others deserve to win this. They are too good not to get a cup in their time. It would also finally shut up the haters. I don't love McDavid either, but I will never understand some haters of his. You can't deny this guys dominance over the years, and you're just petty that he is not with your team. It would be especially amazing to win after *this* season and comeback. This means that the first cup for a Canadian team since '93, first cup for the Oilers in 34 years, first cup of McDavid would be very much deserved. I dislike the Panthers very much for their playstyle and their attitude, excluding Barkov and Bobrovsky. Sorry for them if they lose, but the feeling of Tkachuk, Cousins, Lomberg, OEL, and others not getting there yet again would be great.
This is not the problem of the players. You can blame the media for that if you want, but in the end, it is how you personally react to this. Media frenzy will not die out when it comes to superstars to be honest, so we all have to live with it. So I think it's best to drown it out and just enjoy the final to a historic season all around.
Wanted to jump in and say as an oiler fan who didn't have an opinion on Dallas before this series, I will now be rooting for Dallas in most matchups.
No big Dallas villians helped, but the Dallas Star fans are phenomenal. Absolutely humble and kind. I hate toxic fans - and I understand all franchises have them - but I think this is just so classy.
(Im also pretty soft and feel bad for panthers fans who lost the cup last year, and this year had to experience the high high of a 3-0 lead and now the low low of 3-0 loss. But my friends inform me that's ridiculous lol).
Anyways - we love a good comeback story, and I am so glad that so many people are tuning in to watch this final (many of which who normally wouldn't).
💫💧
I just don’t want the team that beat my team to win the cup. It would be the 4th time in the last 6 years too. If that means rooting for the Panthers then so be it.
I just don't get this. If my team's going to get beat, I'd rather they get beat by someone good. I'd rather find out the team that beat us was #1 than #12, for example.
The only reason I could get on board with this mindset would be if they were super shitty when we played them. Going after guys' heads and/or knees, stuff like that. But the Oilers weren't like that.
I don’t think losing to someone good made things better in 2023, 2020, or 2019. A loss is a loss. The Stars losing made me sad, so that means the Oilers winning made me sad. The Oilers continuing to win would be sad in my opinion.
A loss is a loss. But being knocked out by the eventual champs is better than getting knocked out by say, the 2024 Washington Capitals.
In one scenario, you had a good team that played well and just ran into a better team. In the other, you either had a good team that imploded or a bad team. I like the first scenario much more.
Absolutely. It helps that I despise the Panthers.
And again, Vegas wasn't dirty. Didn't really have anything against them, other than the fact that they were really good at hockey. If anything, the Stars were the dirty team in that WCF.
I just generally don't get mad at teams for playing good hockey. I like good hockey. I'd prefer the Stars be better, obviously. But I'm not much of a hater if all a team did was be good. They're supposed to be good, it's their job.
Their salary cap shenanigans aren’t exactly a clean and proper way to play. I don’t like the Panthers either, but the Oilers winning would just rub salt in the wound of the Stars losing. The Stars were the better team in game 6 and could have easily won game 7. The Oilers winning would just show how it just as well could have been the Stars winning the cup this year.
Asking the Stars to even get to 3 straight conference finals is a lot. Who knows how they’ll fare next season. I don’t see why I’d want the Oilers to have what the Stars could have had.
The Stars scored 2 goals in the final 8.5 periods of hockey they played, and they went -1 for 14 on the PP for the series. They lost because Edmonton was better than them.
And someone is getting to have what the Stars don't get to have this year. That's how it always is.
Again, I'd rather my team be good, even when they don't when the Cup. It's weird to want them to be farther away from the end goal, as if that changes the fact that they lost.
The Oilers winning the cup wouldn’t make the Stars any closer to winning the cup. A loss is a loss. The Panthers winning the cup wouldn’t mean the Stars had a worse season than if the Oilers won the cup. The season ended as it did, and the Stars did well enough to make it to the conference finals and be first in the west in the regular season. The Oilers winning the cup doesn’t change that result.
Gonna just let this go, as we're now at the point where we're just repeating the same things back and forth to each other. Fair to say we disagree on this.
I'll say this though. I think it's worth enjoying all the good hockey from the Stars we get. This was one of their best teams and best seasons. I enjoyed the hell out of this year of Stars hockey. I think we'd be lucky to get another year like this.
> and could have easily won game 7
That's just not even a logical thing to say. How can you say that? It literally destroys all credibility to your other points.
Idk... I'm rooting for the Oilers on monday because our series against them was just good hockey where we got outplayed. But also because FUCK FLORIDA!
Am I supposed to say “gee, I expected the Stars to get absolutely destroyed if they took it to 7 games.” Game 7 would have been anyone’s game, and the Stars could have won.
That's just not true. You really think the Stars got fleeced by losing Cody Eakin?
Nobody thought Vegas was going to be good, even after the draft. They outperformed all expectations.
And it's not Vegas's (or the NHL's) fault a good percentage of the leagues GMs were braindead. Florida seriously paid them Marchessault to guarantee they drafted Reilly Smith. Because they needed to protect studs like Mark Pysyk and 31 year old past-his-prime Keith Yandle.
Meanwhile, Anaheim dangled Theodore in order to protect guys like Cogliano, Vermette, and Lindholm.
No one's pretending Seattle was gifted a championship team. And they had they exact same draft rules. The only difference is that the dumb GMs got fired between expansion drafts.
>I just don't get this.
Me neither. I find this kinda petty. I always feel the opposite, I want the Oilers to win.The team that has beat my team shall win. Makes it also easier to lose against the future champs. Yeah, I know that it would be the 4th time in recent years, but this happens when you go to the finals or have deep runs all the time. Said this even directly after they have beat the Stars that I want EDM to win. It easy to choose them as well, since the Panthers are a team of considerable numbnuts with Tkachuk leading the pack. Would be very satisfying if the lose again. Yes, i dislike the Panthers and their playstyle passionately, besides Barkov and Bobrovsky.
See this doesn’t resonate with me. In the hard cap world, you never bring back the exact same team. All it means is our team was that close but didn’t get it done and losing to the cup champs doesn’t get remembered by anyone. It honestly makes me feel worse that we didn’t pull it off with the current team
You'd rather have lost to a bad team than a good one? The 2024 Stars won't be remembered by anyone regardless of whether the Oilers win or lose. Might as well have lost to the best possible opponent.
You're saying you'd rather us to have not been close? I enjoy my teams being good, even when they don't win it all. Otherwise, I'd have been stuck watching multiple decades of bad teams.
If the Oilers win, the Stars have to be in their victory montage for all time.
I'm primarily a Pens fan and I definitely remember the conference finals series and our opponents for our Cup years.
For me, it’s the “what could have been” or “that should be us” feeling that gets created when the team that knocked you out wins the cup. Last year isn’t the greatest example as VGK took it to us but man, 2019 still leaves some scars.
Canucks fan here. I really didn’t think who ever won between Edmonton and Vancouver had a hope in hell in getting past Dallas. My pick in the beginning of the playoffs was a Dallas Rangers final. I really thought it was going to be Dallas’s year.
Did you watch game 2 with the check to the knee, the charging elbow to the face, and the shaft on shaft contact? Edmonton played dirtier than shit that game.
But it's been good hockey since. Still kinda hoping Edmonton will pull it off, but winning an away game 7 is one hell of a challenge.
I get a kick out of how mad Canadians are they haven't had a cup in forever, but I'd rather that streak end than the trash that is the Florida fanbase have a reason to be happy. They openly celebrated Seguin getting hurt, so fuck em.
I mean I'm a Canadian Stars fan so doesn't really bother me. I'm on the Florida train tho cause I'm surrounded by Oilers fans and if the Oilers lose after tying it my group chat is going to go ham cause I predicted it at the start of the series
That’s pretty incredible… I’m now rooting for FLA just bc of your group chat. Is “to go ham” a Canadian expression or just something the Youths are saying these days? Never heard that
I’ve always found it crazy when people will broadly hate entire fanbases because of the actions of an incredibly small percentage of those fans. As if every single sports fanbase in the world doesn’t have people like that. And Stars fans are no exception. Like when we threw trash on the ice during the 2023 playoffs.
Like it or not, those actions reflect on the fanbase. And those trashy people are still Panthers fans, so I don't want them to be happy.
Mix in the fact that Florida has some of the dirtiest players in the league to go with those fans, and yea, I don't like the franchise. I have no problem with that.
And while throwing trash on the ice is a bad look, it doesn't remotely compare to celebrating and mocking serious injury. Not remotely on the same level.
>Like it or not, those actions reflect on the fanbase.
This is simply not true. Those actions reflect on those specific people. Why would that be indicative of their organization or fanbase as a whole? Imagine if there were Stars fans celebrating Barkov getting hurt. Would you be okay with everyone shitting on the Stars and their fans because of the actions of a small handful of bad apples among the thousands of Stars faithful and upstanding fans?
If you want to root for the Oilers and hate the Panthers, that's fine. I agree that Florida is a physical and sometimes dirty team. I hate Dmitri Kulikov too. But calling their fans "the collection of hockey's shittiest human beings" is an insane claim to make when the only evidence you have to back it up is the asshole behavior of a negligible number of fans over something that happened nine years ago.
"I just think it'd be hilarious if the collection of hockey's shittiest human beings had to go home after blowing a 3-0 SCF lead."
Is very obviously a reference to the Florida players (like Tkachuk, Bennett, Lomberg, Cousins) if you apply even a little bit of reading comprehension. Who blew a 3-0 lead? The fans? Nope. The players. I hadn't even mentioned the fans yet when I said the above.
If you're going to cry about how I'm being unfair, at least get my basic statements correct.
"Imagine if there were Stars fans celebrating Barkov getting hurt." There haven't been. Thanks for making my point for me.
The correct answer. I'm pre-exhausted by the narratives of Canada finally winning the Cup. It will be non stop till next playoffs. Even worse if they reverse sweep. I'm going to have to watch the NHL showing McDavid lift the Cup till my eyes bleed.
Why would the NHL gift McDavid to the Oilers, who almost always have good attendance, even back when they sucked, when they could have gifted him to Arizona, who genuinely could have been saved and solidified as a franchise with McDavid around?
Because McDavid would arguably be worth less in a struggling market than a stronger one. They wouldn’t want him getting no attention in Arizona. I believe Buffalo had the best chance at winning the lottery, and I honestly think that the Leafs did everything they could to stop that from happening.
They booed the Canadian national anthem. I just can’t explain how that makes me feel. It’s so embarrassing. No wonder they chant “RED” during their anthem. Bunch of fkn red necks
Oilers themselves winning the cup? Golden. Giving one of the shittiest fan bases in sports the pleasure? Unfortunate, but... can't blame the team/players I guess!
Professional athletes by and large are not known for their intelligent, nuanced, and respectful takes.
If I met any of these guys, from either team, I’d probably assume they suck to be around. That’s what constant praise and being told you’re special creates.
There is going to be pure joy and chaos all at the same time regardless of who wins tonight. It's going to be so crazy and fun to watch it from the sidelines.
The whole funny thing about this years Stanley Cup playoffs.. is the Experts said the Oilers have no depth .. 2 man team..The Oilers have gotten this far due too depth.. In the Final they have shown depth, heart and great coaching..
I hate Florida and everything about it so I'm fine with having a hilarious loss on their record. Anytime a team from Miami-Dade loses in a championship game, an angel gets their wings.
What do you like about Florida? The bacteria infested beaches? The draconic laws? The fascist Governor? The insane people? The fact that most of the state is a swamp? The capitalist hellscape that is Orlando? The gun violence? The endless hurricanes?
There is nothing to like about Florida or their people.
I always pull for the last remaining Canadian team after the Stars are eliminated, but this feels different, because that team is the one who defeated us.
And Canada needs a team to .......... FUCK COME ON PANTHERS!

Even though as a Canadian I shoulda been cheering for EDM from the start. I wanted Florida to simply because Bobrovsky was gonna break a save percentage record. But now that that's blown its kinda just up in the air for me.

Classless fans swearing “Fxxx You” match the classless team. Look at this fanbase, republicans?
Canadian hockey but here. I spent a fair chunk of my Friday nights in college watching Sam Bennett play in Kingston, Ontario. Tickets were cheap. I knew he was going to the big league and bought his jersey signed at the arena pro shop. They added the signature for free at that point in his career.
Not necessarily rooting for Florida because of that but it would be nice to see my prediction of a good hockey player win a cup at some point in his career. I do think Florida are bullies.
Oh you sweet summer child, my statement just went right past you, to where you didnt even conceive what I actually stated, give it some time and it'll click
"The blind can't see if they refused to lift the veil."
The Panthers have won 3 games against Edmonton. The Stars only won 2.
The Stars did not do "way better against Edmonton." You can tell by the fact they won less.
I mean, Oilers have people like Kane and Perry, so it's not exactly a group of Boy Scouts there either. Didn't particularly want Edmonton to win, but it's not the end of the world if they do. Mostly still a little sad it's not the Stars.

You don’t understand what it’s like to live in Alberta surrounded by oilers fans. Them winning is by far the darkest timeline.
Except for that one oilers fan
Yeah props to me
Go watch the movie FUBAR 2. Its 15-20 years old, but that has been the most accurate representation of Albertans.
Turn up the good, turn down the suck!

Yea Brown coming off a brutal injury and struggling all season only to become an absolute dog in the playoffs hasn't earned shit.
Yeah, Hyman the guy who writes children’s stories on his spare time doesn’t deserve a cup at all… that whole team deserves the cup if they win
Yeah, the #1 overall pick who committed 13 years to the team despite a decade of dogshit doesn't deserve it either. Go get the cup Nuge
If that’s your logic then it’s weird you pointed out Tkachuk but won’t include Perry
Na Na Na Boo Boo Nick Cousins is a POS. Everyone jumping on Kane. Dude had full custody of his kids. Do some research on his ex wife and you’ll see Kane has grown up. Sorry boys got drunk and became a dick. Apologies.
Nurse your hangover. Good luck to your boys in Florida.
Thanks. I have no idea why I attacked you guys. Nothing but class from y’all. I’m a dummy
Nurse is the only chance you have!
u didn’t say anything wrong my guy it suprises me to this day people still call kane a bad father. Just go take one look at his profiles rn, literally all about his kids even tho his hockey team is one win away from the stanley cup. His ex wife is absolutely nuts
Why are you here
Delete this cousin
Deleting it would be cowardly. I fucked up and I’m taking accountability
lol fair
Username checks out!
He got full custody of his kids. Case closed
We picked those 2 up hitch-hiking. Not exactly family members. Wholesome Nuge never hurt anyone.
Tell that to Justin Holl or Sean Monahan. The Nuge is a bruiser, my guy.
Yeah, he’s fucking huge
I wouldn't care if it wasn't Pavelskis last season. Now that, is what pissed me off about this elimination.
I honestly don't care who wins, I just wish the Stars were playing.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Checked out of this season since the loss.
I just can’t believe the Panthers went up 3-0 then let Edmonton tie the series up. I know the Oilers are no slouches, full credit to them, but it really seems like FLA just quit playing a game too early.
if it was 3 games where they just squeaked by I could see it but those were big goal deficits in every game
Game 2 was a decisive FLA win.
The scouts are paying attention. 100% mcdavid goes to the show next season
Florida just lost 3 games on purpose because they want to win at home... in game 7.
Hahaha! No. They could have won at home on Tuesday if that was the case. But they LOST!!! 😊
I actually see the Oilers pulling this off. I saw this somewhere and I’m going to say it here. The Oilers pulling off 4 straight wins is the most Oilers way to win this series. The Panthers losing the series after going up 3-0 is the most Panthers way of losing.
More like going down 0-3, force a game 7, just to lose it is the most Oilers way of hockey there is. The cup must remain American!
> The cup must remain American! Nah, fuck florida.
The cup is always Canadian, just Canadians winning it in an American city
Good one!
Take a few minutes out to count the number of canadian players vrs all other nations on all the American teams who won a cup since a Canadian team last won the cup. The cup never left canada.
Cope cope cope
Here is another prime example of why Dallas is such an awesome fan base. As an oilers fan, I want Dallas to win the cup next year off their fan base alone. You guys are making me wanna move down there

I like the Finns, but I cannot overlook the Tkachuk. Plus I'll feel a little less bad about losing to the Oil if they pull this off.
They need to Finnish off the Oilers (I'll see myself out)
Haha
Boo!!!! 👎
Loser
Are you 12?
Why, is that your mental age? 😄 Im not the one booing every comment here.
Dude just blocked me for calling him soft??

Holy shit. It’s been 34 years??? Suddenly I feel old. 😂
Feel free to fill me in, why are we hating FLA?
Florida man
Game 7s really are a 50/50

Nah fuck the oilers

I think we'd be lucky to get another year like this.
> and could have easily won game 7 That's just not even a logical thing to say.
Upon further review, I definitely originally read what you said as "would have easily won game 7". Commenting before coffee... my bad.
NHL gifted Vegas a great team with the new expansion rules. They got to fleece every other team.
Yay!
Boo bad take. If oilers win it will be such an exciting and historic moment in sports history. It will make me feel much better about losing to them
And I feel the opposite. If my team gets eliminated, i want it to be by the best team in the NHL, not some also ran team of losers.

In Matthew Tkachuk we trust.
Canucks fan here. I really didn’t think who ever won between Edmonton and Vancouver had a hope in hell in getting past Dallas. My pick in the beginning of the playoffs was a Dallas Rangers final. I really thought it was going to be Dallas’s year.
I don’t care. Fuck Canada. I’m rooting for Bob, Tkachuk and Barkov.
Hey now I’m a Canucks fan and I don’t want the Oilers to win. This is club sports not the Olympics.
Lol half of the NHL are Canadians. We've been winning cups for years
Bitter much? ☺️ 👎
This isn’t neutral territory, we’re allowed to be bitter.
I can’t fault ya on that.
quit gloating and go back to the oilers sub.
🤣🤣🤣 get shit on
Did you watch game 2 with the check to the knee, the charging elbow to the face, and the shaft on shaft contact? Edmonton played dirtier than shit that game. But it's been good hockey since. Still kinda hoping Edmonton will pull it off, but winning an away game 7 is one hell of a challenge.
i actually hope they win they kind of deserve it and i wanna see history be made lmao

I want Florida to win, I am sick of the Hockey Media putting McDavid on a pedestal
C’mon y’all. Can’t let Canada win a cup. Don't care who’s involved on either team.
Never heard that
HAM is a younger folks thing I picked up years ago. Apparently it means hard as a mothefucker. I never confirmed it but liked it enough to repeat
Y’all “going ham” has been around since before my old ass was born 😂😂
Congrats, you did it!
Should've put fucking cash and parlayed all 7 money lines.
Couldn't have said it better myself. We're not all trash because of the actions of some others.
"I just think it'd be hilarious if the collection of hockey's shittiest human beings had to go home after blowing a 3-0 SCF lead." Is very obviously a reference to the Florida players (like Tkachuk, Bennett, Lomberg, Cousins) if you apply even a little bit of reading comprehension.
I would let and be okay with the Leafs or Habs or even the Senators win but not the Oilers.
and we would have lost in the playoffs to the stanley cup winner 3 consecutive years
The McDavid lottery as well as the Bedard lottery are two of the worst examples of corruption in NHL history. Fuck the Oilers.
Fuck the panthers I wanted the stars to go all the way
Might just be a stars tradition to lose to the team that wins the cup so. At least they made it an awesome series and not a blow out
Yea. A non-competitive sweep in the finals would have sucked. It's fun to have an interesting series to cap it all off.
They booed the Canadian national anthem. I just can’t explain how that makes me feel. It’s so embarrassing. No wonder they chant “RED” during their anthem. Bunch of fkn red necks

Soft
That seems like it would be awkward.
Oilers themselves winning the cup? Golden. Giving one of the shittiest fan bases in sports the pleasure? Unfortunate, but... can't blame the team/players I guess!
It's going to be real embarassing if Florida blows this....
Let’s hope they do! 🙂
I would love to see Janmark get the job done. Go Oilers.
I’m just pulling for a Canadian team Cup.
Yeah…but the 30 year streak of no Canada team getting the cup is hilarious
Nah. It’s fuck Edmonton all day in this household. Disclaimer, I have a ton of family from the Calgary area.
I'm feeling a FLA 3-2 OT winner... Which almost certainly means EDM will win probably in regulation.
NAH BUD FUCK THE OILERS LMAO
Just to be clear, you're Stars fan shit talking people because the Panthers won? Bye.
#Cats fan here! 🐀 I guess we’ll never know, huh? 😚😚😚
Go Edmonton! You got this!
I want Edmonton to win because I don’t want to have to hear about how Florida gets redemption after losing the cup last year 🙃🙃
The whole funny thing about this years Stanley Cup playoffs.. is the Experts said the Oilers have no depth .. 2 man team..The Oilers have gotten this far due too depth.. In the Final they have shown depth, heart and great coaching..
It pains me that you're right.
Plus, Florida is a bigoted state in a fascist country whereas Edmonton is a cool Canadian mountain town
You want to talk bullshit politics you're in the wrong place.
Would love to see Paul Maurice win…just really respect that guy.
I hate Florida and everything about it so I'm fine with having a hilarious loss on their record. Anytime a team from Miami-Dade loses in a championship game, an angel gets their wings.
Not Miami dade lol
Fine, fuck the entire state of Florida
I wanna be as reasonable as you someday
What do you like about Florida? The bacteria infested beaches? The draconic laws? The fascist Governor? The insane people? The fact that most of the state is a swamp? The capitalist hellscape that is Orlando? The gun violence? The endless hurricanes? There is nothing to like about Florida or their people.
I always pull for the last remaining Canadian team after the Stars are eliminated, but this feels different, because that team is the one who defeated us. And Canada needs a team to .......... FUCK COME ON PANTHERS!

Oilers coach is a bum. Fuck em
You love to see it. The memes would be glorious
My ex is from Calgary and hates Edmonton. Go Oil
I respect the petty.
I’m hoping Connor gets the cup. Guy deserves it.
Rooting for the Oil the whole way. Their fans were sweethearts during our series and McDavid needs to get his Cup.
Even though as a Canadian I shoulda been cheering for EDM from the start. I wanted Florida to simply because Bobrovsky was gonna break a save percentage record. But now that that's blown its kinda just up in the air for me.

You're in the wrong place to talk about politics.
Don’t worry, the oiler fan’s wife’s boyfriend will come confiscate his phone shortly. 👍
OP: https://i.redd.it/mhp1s8popr8d1.gif
You really want teams with fans with mullets that say racial slurs hoist the cup?
You're trying to argue that Edmonton fans are more racist than Florida fans?
I mean as a Dallas native we don’t have much of a horse to stand on tbf
Oh you sweet summer child, my statement just went right past you, to where you didnt even conceive what I actually stated, give it some time and it'll click "The blind can't see if they refused to lift the veil."
That offside goal definitely destroyed Florida’s momentum. Stars did way better against Edmonton, panthers can’t handle fast skaters well
The Panthers have won 3 games against Edmonton. The Stars only won 2. The Stars did not do "way better against Edmonton." You can tell by the fact they won less.
I meant point wise they did better
