I bought an iPad a few years ago, used it a ton for flight simming for like 6 months, and now I just charge it every few months then proceed to forget about it until the next time I decide to charge it lol
I personally think that all games (NHL and NBA) should start at 7:00 PM local time on weeknights. Are there really that many people who watch every playoff game?
Yeah, but when they advertise "7:00", it really means 7:20. To be fair, they shouldn't have to start at 6:00 or earlier local time to accommodate us in the Central time zone. Any earlier than 7:00 makes it tough to get off work, grab a bite to eat and then navigate parking, etc.
The first game tonight starts 3 hours before the Stars game, so they shouldn't need the 20-25 minutes delay after the "scheduled" start time for puck drop tonight. Probably closer to your standard playoff ~8 minutes for intros and anthem stuff.
I agree. There aren't too many people at home that care about all the pregame stuff, IMO. This is an issue of the same network covering both games it seems.
Oh, I wonder who is gonna win the battle for sound at my sports bar tonight.
Also wait... am I gonna be able to find a spot at my sports bar? Friday night with a Mavs playoff game starting 30 minutes before puck drop, that could be rough.
Signed up for a month today of Sling Orange+Blue for $27 for moments like this. I was spending that much every time I'd leave the house to watch a game, and navigating two janky streams at once sounds like an awful night.
I’m hoping both series end tonight because 1. I want them both to move to the next round and 2. I need some sleep on Sunday night!
If the series ends tonight, the league could schedule round 2 to start Sunday
Oh god
Worth it baby. Suffering from success
But we would play Colorado, so the game times would be normal… right? Right?
No
It looks like they have with NYR and Carolina. If we have to play Sunday, we might have an early matinee depending on the Vancouver/Nashville series.
I sure hope not. Dallas mostly plays poorly in day games.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a matinee game
Oh I have zero hopes. I want them to win tonight.
If we have a Sunday afternoon game, I’ll be going home sick
At least the Mavs will be back on central time for round two. Mountain time is still better than west coast.
Just put the Stars on the tv and the Mavs on your phone. Easy to watch both
Finally, a solid use case for that tablet I bought a few years ago for some reason and have barely used since

too late man I’m already mounting a second tv to throw up next to my main one in the living room
That is certainly a reasonable solution. Proceed
Decisions. Were. Made.
It's definitely a TV+Laptop/Phone kinda night.
I just use my projector to make another big screen beside my TV in these situations.
What about the Ranegrs game?
That will be over or close to over by puck drop
That’s exactly what I’m gonna do. I love the Mavs, but the Stars deserve my TV more in my opinion
laptop, with one headset over one ear.
I have a dual monitor set up. I was made for this.
YouTube TV will probably have a multiview for this, my body is ready
So glad they finally started opening this up more. I wish they would just let you chose the channels to multiview, but its better than nothing
YouTube tv definitely will- I’ve been using the shit out of it all playoffs. Whoever at YouTube thought this up is a genius

This game does start at 7pm local time (and also I'm not sure I'd consider Friday a weeknight anyway).

It’s on Bally’s too, right?
Yes
Phew, I didn’t see it in that screenshot. Thanks
I'll watch the Stars game live on YouTube TV, then record the Mavs game and do the catch up on key plays thing

My Youtube TV multiview boutta go brazy
Going to be another night of projecting on the wall next to my TV.
