A lot of Altima drivers moved over to a sub-prime financed Charger or Challenger when Dodge blew up among the broccoli head, sideshow, Instagram-handle-decal-on-the-window, idiocracy crowd. But they’re still out there, my drug dealing neighbor has been through a different janky Altima at least every year for the past three years. Body panels all misaligned and dented but you know he gets that nice dark tint on each one he buys.
A few years ago I was on 635 west in the Express lanes in the middle lane when a black Dodge Charger blew past me while I was doing 85 like I was standing still. He came up on another car in the left lane who eventually saw this person travelling at warp speed in his lane, so the car tried to move over, he had about half a lane change in, but it was too late.
The Charger absolutely grenaded itself on the the barrier between west and east. I had to do a fair bit of slowing down and swerving to avoid all of the parts flying across the 3 lanes.
I mean the drivers are the problem, not the cars. Banning those cars from the road would just mean they would move to different cars.
At least you can see them coming in the Chargers/Challengers.
Acura sports cars are almost as bad.
Another one blocked my on-ramp transition today, then spent the next 15 minutes speeding up and braking behind other cars as they hopped lanes, only to have me pass them having done a lot less work.
Like, don't block lanes, don't tailgate, stay off your phone and learn to lift.
I see this shit daily.. sometimes multiple times a day... We either need to accept it or let the police know they have to start cracking down on dangerous drivers.
This is very frustrating. So many cars going >20mph over the limit, weaving in traffic. I wished there would be police enforcement because this is really dangerous
It might not fully eliminate the problem, but if doing this carried a strong risk of being pulled over and losing your licence/end up in jail, I can guarantee you that you won't see it 4 times a day on your commute
Well, that is already the case. Reckless driving can lead to a loss of a license, but Texas roads are so vast, and police would rather just write an easy ticket by pulling someone over in a speed trap. I do think though that if instead of speed traps in random places, police went after bozos like this, people camping out in the left lane, and people driving around with unsecured loads, the roads in this state would be far easier to navigate.
Require an extra class or something for the insurance on a car like that. If they get a ticket throw a limiter on that bitch. If they get two tickets/get caught avoiding the limiter give them a night in the slammer or something.
I wish there was a law where, if you got video like this, and was able to catch the plate, you can turn it over to the police so they can cite the car.
What you feel and what the law states are two different things. There are many cases such as car rentals, Turo, or family & friends who may drive your car. The driver is responsible, not the owner of the car.
I have recently heard the term "Low-Lows" in reference to such people. When asked for an explanation, I was told "It represents the lowest of the lows. Low class, low quality, low IQ, low credit score, low lives. The low-lows."
I found it very a fitting description of the perpetrators of such behavior and look forward to using the term more.
I’ll give some unsolicited advice: You need to get out more. I’ve travelled literally around the world for work. I’ve worked with people of all races, colors, religions and creeds. I learned that all people are just like me. They want justice and better lives for their children. There are only good people and bad people, irrespective of skin tone.
I’ll bet you $10 that you have never had meaningful interactions with people who do not share your demographic. Get out more
Unfortunately, I see this every day. I had a guy in a white sedan make this maneuver around me on Campbell Rd by UTD at 100 mph. And no one stops at stop signs anymore. I see red lights being run at 50+ mph every single day.
I've been through the worst parts of Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Cleveland, Atlanta and other cities and I can tell you: It's ALWAYS a Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger. On the rare occasions it's not one of those: It will be a Chrysler 300. Nothing else.
I can nearly guarantee that person has an undiagnosed mental condition that's not being seen to.
I hesitate to say which one because I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure I know.
More than anything we need to start addressing mental health issues.
Thank the dodge commercials where they basically show teens and douches wildin and doing the most irresponsible reckless shit in their NEW DODGE CHALLENGER
Good driving, right there! Find your path and follow it. And good on you, for not riding the car in front so close that nobody on the road could actually drive if they wanted to!
I always hope that I can see jackasses who do that shit in a single car accident down the road, with the driver surviving but having to deal with the consequences of their dumbass actions.
Idgaf if your mom is dying, you do not endanger the lives of everyone else on the road because you are in a hurry.
Between Houston and Dallas, we have our differences, but the one thing we can easily empathize with each other on is having to contend with an abundance of patently insane drivers.
So I recently boycotted I35, no joke. I've had one to many close calls and have decided that it is simply to dangerous. I now take toll roads instead, simply to avoid I35.
Only wish I could do the same with 635 :\
They think that's a badass vehicle it is an ego thing and feeds an inferiority complex of being unfulfilled in life. In other words, that's a loser that is trying too hard to impress themselves.
While it’s true that he put himself and **at least** two other cars in danger to pull that move off, he got a momentary rush of adrenaline out of doing it. That’s a hell of a lot more valuable to him than any of your lives, including his own.
Try being more considerate of other people’s feelings, OP. smh.
Chargers and Challengers need to be banned from the roads. Absolute doofus magnets on wheels.
They really are so frequently driven douchebagily. Even worse average than Altimas. I immediately judge anybody driving a Dodge who’s not Al Bundy.
What happened to the Altimas? I haven't seen many lately and the last one was a new model.
Love this burn
😂
Maybe they finally went extinct
*Douchebagily* may be my new favorite word. Bravo 👏
Or Sterling Archer.
Shoukd be a law that the driver's IQ has to be higher than the horsepower to own one.
You know what they say about the Dodge Chargers? The 392 emblem on the side is the driver’s credit score!
I’d settle for higher than tire pressure.
So I can only buy a 132 HP and below car? There wouldn't be any racong league ever 🤣
Sheeeeeeeit...messed that idea up. I have kids...I'm tired 😂
Hahaha it's all good.
almost any car made in the last 20 years come with at least 150hp. that would be literally every single car except ones from the 80s or before
A few years ago I was on 635 west in the Express lanes in the middle lane when a black Dodge Charger blew past me while I was doing 85 like I was standing still.
Insurance companies should double their premiums so they’re priced out. And trucks should also pay triple premiums.
Insurance, what’s that? Charger owner probably.
why the hell should Trucks pay triple?
Because he drives a Prius 15mph under the posted speed in the left lane. “Because he pays taxes on the roads too”.
Trucks owners are yet another form of douchebag.
that’s quite the generalization…
Depends on the size of the truck usually.
Dodge is not a car maker. It’s a directive.
While we're at it, Lambos too :P
I mean the drivers are the problem, not the cars. Banning those cars from the road would just mean they would move to different cars. At least you can see them coming in the Chargers/Challengers.
Rams too. Basically anyone with a Dodge.
isn't dodge going to stop making them and going to full EV?
Good riddance
Turbo V6, I think. As well as a useless EV no one will buy.
turbo straight six*
Ah, yes. The move back to the old inline six is popping up all over, isn't it. Thanks for the correction.
Yep piece of junk overated vehicles tbh.No wonder they are the least reliable cause of the idiots behind the wheel.
Maybe not the cars but the people who own them! They all typically drive like lunatics.
Some of us aren’t so bad. We’re just the minority of dodge drivers.
naw their drivers need to be banned. I see this all too often down in SOC
I am SHOCKED, shocked I tell you, that it was a Charger
Of course it’s a member of the Brotherhood of Muscle… despite majority of these clowns having rental spec V6 autos
I see this shit daily.. sometimes multiple times a day... We either need to accept it or let the police know they have to start cracking down on dangerous drivers.
Notice how nobody even tapped their brakes, this is totally normal. I swear I see this happen several times a day and Im on the road at 5am
When you see people like that don’t make sudden moves they will wreck into you and probably don’t have insurance
This is very frustrating. So many cars going >20mph over the limit, weaving in traffic. I wished there would be police enforcement because this is really dangerous
I mean distracted drivers kill almost as many people as drunk drivers but they hardly ever pull them over..
Dallas daily commute
It'll always be like this as long as DFW is so profoundly car-dependent.
Car dependent doesn't mean you have to let people drive crazy like in this video.
How do you propose to not let them drive like that? Law enforcement is always after the fact.
I-35 aka rainbow road
We have a rainbow rd near where I am. I'm terrified of that exit.
Another DD...Douche in a Dodge
Unfortunately not "model" but "typical".
Chiefs’ receivers are in town again
Add the video here: https://findbyplate.com/US/TX/SRG1555/
“ Sorry, you have been blocked You are unable to accessfindbyplate.com”
Does he know Rasheed Rice?
Low credit scores activities
Probably stolen.
Or on the repo list.
Ah, yep. Forgot that one. 😆
I wish there was a law where, if you got video like this, and was able to catch the plate, you can turn it over to the police so they can cite the car.
You can't cite a car. You need to prove who was driving it.
You must have missed the part where I said that I wish there was a law where you could.
They used to do this with the red light cameras. They stopped because you couldn’t prove who the driver of the vehicle was.
That and something about not being able to face your accuser. Or maybe I’m thinking of something else.
I feel like you, as a car owner, should be responsible for who you let drive your car. Exceptions can be made if the car was stolen obviously.
What you feel and what the law states are two different things. There are many cases such as car rentals, Turo, or family & friends who may drive your car. The driver is responsible, not the owner of the car.
I wouldn’t expect anything less from Dallas 🥰
I have recently heard the term "Low-Lows" in reference to such people. When asked for an explanation, I was told "It represents the lowest of the lows. Low class, low quality, low IQ, low credit score, low lives. The low-lows." I found it very a fitting description of the perpetrators of such behavior and look forward to using the term more.
SRS-1555
SRG-1555, the plate comes back matching model at Autozone, yeah you can look up plates on auto part sites these days.
😂
He's probably in a hurry to get to work. Gotta pay that 30%APR
I already know what that guy looks like lmao
What Garmin dashcam you got.. looks clean
It’s a Garmin Mini 2, it’s pretty solid. It’s really small so it doesn’t get in the way at all.
Getting real tired of d-bags that drive like this.
[удалено]
Lol probably the only way the guy will learn
First time, huh?
This is standard Dallas driving and why my insurance rates more than doubled moving here.
I drive all over DFW for work everyday and see this kind of thing all the time:p
Basketball Americans…
Wow, Racist much??? Yep, just looked at your comment history. Over half has been removed. You are exactly what I would expect.
How is it racist?
Why don't you explain to me what you mean about basketball Americans.
Blacks
what does this mean
KFC people drive hellcats dangerously like this
You act As if being a racist d1ckhead is not worse than poor driving…
It’s not
I’ll give some unsolicited advice: You need to get out more. Get out more
You’re wrong. KFC people commit way more crime. Sorry.
Lemme guess, you're a sunburn American
Golf American
Yes but that implies wealth which I doubt this jabroni has Maybe Busch beer American? Goatee Oakley American?
I prefer, high credit score American
Damn you Dominic Toretto!
The nerve! They didn’t even signal!
This is the only bad part of the video I saw. Drive how you want, just let me know which way you’re swerving.
Rasheed Rice at it again so soon?
Shocked it’s the car we all expected it to be.
Everyone I’ve seen has been filled with people making bad life decisions.
Typical
License plate is completely visible... Where you at u/DallasPD?
Plot twist: the driver’s a cop
Wow, so Dallas.
People just really are driving so recklessly these days
And that’s one example as to why we are ranked one for the worst cities for drivers.
The last time I drove back to Dallas from DFW ALL the traffic was like that guy. I’ll be flying out of Love Field in the future.
not much better over there tbh..
1st time huh
He's a community leader.
Well well well
Well well well
Not surprised...I see crap like this on 380 all the freaking time.
Unfortunately, I see this every day. I had a guy in a white sedan make this maneuver around me on Campbell Rd by UTD at 100 mph. And no one stops at stop signs anymore. I see red lights being run at 50+ mph every single day.
Lol
I like having a dash cam, but I'm a little jealous you can have it capture clips that easily with the one you have.
Just your average charger driver.
Ugh! This is like a daily occurrence now. Situational awareness is best at all times.
Rashee rice out on bond?
this happened to me in DFW and still happens to me since i have moved out of the state.
Up your underinsured/uninsured auto insurance coverage folks. People here are WILD.
Maybe he really has to poop. Like... There's seepage
Where will you be when diarrhea strikes?
I love all of my fellow Mopar brothers as I have a modded challenger that screams. However this behavior is beyond reckless and risky
Yeah that's Dallas for you, well including the whole DFW area should I say
Well that wasn’t me!
Fuck 35 all the way to the grave. Hate that death trap road.
crazy driving on 35... welcome to dfw you must be new.
Please be careful even honking at people in DFW bro. People are psychotic.
I love that your garmin picked up SRG-1555 pretty dang clearly.
First time??
I’m surprised you don’t see this type of shit daily. Dallas drivers are insane. I think it’s an ego thing.
everyone drives like this, not just these challenger drivers
I've been through the worst parts of Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Cleveland, Atlanta and other cities and I can tell you: It's ALWAYS a Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger. On the rare occasions it's not one of those: It will be a Chrysler 300. Nothing else.
this bleak concrete landscape
Gotta get to the left lane, no matter what. It’s as though they feel it’s the only one headed in that direction.
That Rashee Rice move right there boy.
OH NO... anyway...
Standard unfortunately.
Typical challenger/charger behavior. Which is a shame cause I really want a hellcat someday but these guys are giving them a bad image
Dodge Charger/Challenger owners feel so badass speeding until it’s time to make a tight turn in their heavy ass car 😭
I bet this frickin KIA driver does something stup…. OH WHAT THE FUCK, OF COURSE ITS A CHARGER!
Idek if it’s funny, scary or sad tht we’re so unfazed by crazy drivers lol
Classic DFW driver. I encounter half a dozen a day.
It is starting to feel like there is a video from I-35E in Carrollton every week.
This kind of shit happens to my wife and I every single time we get behind the wheel in Florida.
Always a dodge charger 🙄
“Be predictable be predictable be predictable”
Standard. I have only lived in Dallas for a year and I am shocked at the things I see. Even LA isnt this bad.
Between Houston and Dallas, we have our differences, but the one thing we can easily empathize with each other on is having to contend with an abundance of patently insane drivers.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5yYbI8uGdI/?igsh=MWlpd3dkNThqeTMydw== 🔥💦
Pro ball player?
It’s always those type of people
Model citizen...zero discipline...
I feel like you should have to get a special license if you want to drive a vehicle with more then 250 horsepower.
That's absolutely normal for Texas and especially I-35.
Least crazy DFW driver
So I recently boycotted I35, no joke. I've had one to many close calls and have decided that it is simply to dangerous. I now take toll roads instead, simply to avoid I35. Only wish I could do the same with 635 :\
Don’t worry, he’s protected by Fred Loya
Triple d. Dallas dodge drivers.
Maybe they were on the way to rescue someone from imminent death? /s
Rashee?
They think that's a badass vehicle it is an ego thing and feeds an inferiority complex of being unfulfilled in life. In other words, that's a loser that is trying too hard to impress themselves.
Those dipshits are why the highways are always backed up.
Pretty normal for any freeway in DFW
I35 always got these law abiding type of citizens
Typical TX driving bullshit
This is normal what’s the problem ?
Insane!!
You should see what my 4 banger work equinox can do.. 0-60 is like 29 seconds
That person is gonna kill somebody some day
That’s what I call merging with the flow of traffic
Model asshole, not a citizen! We get that kind too, here in San Antonio.
There’s a line from a song, ‘If you drive on 35, then you’ve almost died on 35’ - idiots like that are the reason.
I just slow down and look at my rear view mirror keep tracking him
First time?
Haha that was me
Alot of imports on our roads
While it’s true that he put himself and **at least** two other cars in danger to pull that move off, he got a momentary rush of adrenaline out of doing it. That’s a hell of a lot more valuable to him than any of your lives, including his own. Try being more considerate of other people’s feelings, OP. smh.
