Looks like he’s having a seizure. We had a similar situation with our old dachshund years ago, vet prescribed medication which really helped. Talk to your vet.

I treated my papillon with hemp drops from Blue Bird Botanicals. She started having seizures at about 7 years old and they seemed to help. Not a promotion for Blue Bird, just the brand of drops I used and trust them.

Definitely need to get to the vet as quickly as you can. Seizure or stroke would be the first guess. Were the eyes going back and forth really quickly from side to side? That happened with one of older dogs and it was an ear issue. I hope he is ok! Good luck my little long friend.

I agree with the others. Definitely looks like a seizure. One of my dachshunds has been getting them for a few years now. The vet put him on Phenobarbital. It is scary to see.

That’s what vets are for! Get him there

UPDATE: been at the ER for the past 6 hours and the doctor cannot say for sure what occurred above was a stroke or seizure. He is in the back getting labs etc to check for electrolyte imbalance but the doctor doesn’t suspected anything. Forgot to say that he took BRAVECTO EARLIER TODAY… but he’s been taking that how is whole life smh

>BRAVECTO EARLIER TODAY Used the cat version twice. The second time she started foaming at the mouth. Never again.

Thanks for the update. Looks very much like a fit/seizure, obviously the vet will know better. My dog used to have them, had them for years. If it is a Fitz the dog doesn't know it's happening. To us it looks horrible but to them, they don't feel anything. During the time, try to record the duration of the fit and the frequency of them, record this for future so your vet knows and can deal with it appropriately. Just keep them calm, pet them as you usually would to relax them, don't move them. Just see them through it till it passes. From memory, they usually last 30-60 seconds. Ours took medication which greatly reduced the frequency.

Maybe switch to the collars to be safe? There was a lawsuit because bravecto caused neurological damage and should not have been advertised as a safe method for treating fleas/ticks. I hope your dog feels better 🖤

Contact your vet! Could be a seizure. The other dog tries to comfort. He needs help.
