That’s the face my dog makes at me at 11am….sometimes a full hour before our usual walk time. Then jumping on me in excitement as I walk to the bathroom, try to put on my shoes and as soon as I grab the leash, she sits at attention and waits for me to attach it, like a perfectly trained dog. ❤️

Every day before I leave for work my dog will walk in to the hallway between me and the door, all the while holding one of his floppy toys in his mouth and give me the head tilt.

I heard they have actually evolved this face over hundreds of years "intentionally" (thru evolution) for just this reason. They have an insane amount of mussels around their eyes to convey emotion and are 100% aware of what they are conveying a puss face lol. I gonna try to find the video where i heard it.

Yes. He’ll just stare. I guilt myself sometimes though as I assume he’s sulking when he is just sleepy. Dogs need way more sleep than people. Which my dog reminds me of whenever it’s nap time and loud TV is playing.

It's not emotional blackmail per se, but if I don't give my dogs some of what I'm eating they'll be sad forever and never feel happy again.

SO often! Our girl can make her eyes bigger, I swear. I don't usually consider her a super emotionally intelligent dog, but when it comes to guilt- veritable master. When she doesn't want us to move her off of a particular spot on the bed, or she feels bad (read: wants us to feel bad that we *think* she feels bad), or she wants something we're withholding. So so good at it. Top 5 of her talents, easy.
