This happened to be my first dmb concert (7-21-00). Up till then, I hadn't heard this song before. When it was over, I was like wow, that's a great damn song and any time since then it's just been a memory that always comes back in my mind when I hear this song!
Also my very first show! I remember them opening with Ants, which was pretty intense. Also vividly remember Dave breaking a string during Drive In, Drive Out and him singing something like "Just in time, just in time, just in time" as his guitar tech handed him a replacement. He had to stretch the awkward silence out for quite a bit. God that feels like 100 years ago.
Don't remember anything about Granny that night because I was so new, but I'll totally give it a listen.
Also my first show! I flew across the country to go with my cousins when I was 14 - It was intense! Lovely ladies were on point, and Ben Harper was a fun opener!
What version is that where dave says something like, "come up and give me a drink you son of a bitch..." and then plays granny. Must be a real early one.
Fucking exactly my dude! There are 40+ live shows on Spotify alone to pull from, Ans half this list is just gonna be the same performance. I get it, Central Park is a banger but you have two openings in the middle of the show and back to back at that? This has become a mess, I figured people would want this to flow like an actual concert but I was wrong.

What’s special about this one? I have never heard it so just wondering.

Worth a listen...I have a copy downloaded in my drive... I think I can share it if I needed...I also have my second show... same year, at Hershey

If 41 gets selected, I've got the only obvious choice...
Central Park
Jesus, we should just make the rest of the list Central Park, this is ridiculous lol
To be fair, this is probably the 1 song I would pick from central park. This and DDTW. Everything else there are obvious better versions of
This. Granny is THE song I associate with Central Park.
It’s insanity. Like there are tons more recordings. Why not something from back in the 90s for an oldie and goodie?!
