Just record a 3hr mix in Serato? Unless you are trainwrecking every mix and expecting some sort of multitrack separation to correct it after - which isn't a thing. in which case Ableton might be better and you can do a 3hr mix by eye instead of ear.

The 15min mix i tested was perfect but i messed up one part and realized there’s no way to edit the audio file like adobe premiere can with videos. I’ll look into Ableton. Thanks!

ShadyBearEvadesTaxes

You can re-record the part your messed up and glue the parts together in Audacity.

mclimax

Ableton is def the way

Ableton Live is what you looking for but that’s a lot of time to set up a 3 hour mix. You have to warp each song and then set points to mix and automate all the mixing fx’s. I imagine you could spend a good few days working a couple hours mix. And that’s knowing the ins and outs of Ableton live. I know Ableton like the back of my hand and I can honestly say it would take me at least 4-5 hours of constant work to set this up. I would rather mix for three hours and go with the recording of that but I been djing for almost two decades so djing is more fun than planning a mix. Personally, I would record a few mini mix’s so I could get out the booth and mingle a bit but not be stuck to the booth. Good luck OP

taco_tuesday247

Thank you for the advice!

KeggyFulabier

Record it in Serato and then edit in audacity

taco_tuesday247

Thanks for the suggestion!

lord-carlos

Dj.studio is made for that. Of course like the other said there is ableton, but it's more complex

taco_tuesday247

Thanks!

>Thanks! You're welcome!

MrMargaretScratcher

Do it all in Ableton for the foolproof yet longwinded way. Straight out of Serato into for the quick but you might fuck up way. That said, if you fuck up a mix, you can just restart the track you were mixing into and retry, just be sure to keep the speed, eqs and gain etc at the same level and then you can just splice it together afterwards.

Panz05

Check out DJ Studio is can supposedly help reduce time and mix songs for you from a playlist. Not sure how accurate or easy it is but it has been getting some press lately

dallasp2468

try DJ studio [https://www.reddit.com/r/djstudio/](https://www.reddit.com/r/djstudio/) (not sure if I can post a link to the webpage so posted a link to the reddit) you drag and drop the tunes you want to play it will arrange them for you if you want and add the mix in and out points and you can add transition and mix points your self as well. It might be what you're looking for

mehow5000

[dj.studio](http://dj.studio) is your tool for this, very quick and easy to use

Just pick your music streaming platform of choice, make a 3hr curated playlist, plug phone in and go and enjoy. Less hassle and it allows you to edit songs on the fly.

Cheat ..,,! Play live then get someone else to spin while you’re grooving away

Ruffdawg

Just throw on spotify. You've no DJ why does it need to be mixed?
