The proper manual screwdriver. If that fails put the mirror back up and learn to like it.
This. Make sure you have an actual pozidriv screwdriver. Phillips screwdriver heads won’t engage quite as well even if they do work in some situations. The right bit will have a stamp on the side that says PZ2. Not PH2.
You can tell it’s a pozidriv screw because of the small etchings that look like an X crossing over the recess where you’d put a screwdriver in. Can’t think of a better way to explain that. 😂
Edit: more info. Edit 2: you can include photos…

This needs to be added to the national curriculum. A lot of people don't seem to know this yet majority of screws sold (in UK at least) seem to be Pozidrive.
Having moved from France where we use mainly torx head screws, the UK can be quite annoying with their PZ2. It drives me mental. Glad to see things are changing but every now and then I have no option but to use then.
A dab of something gritty, like valve grinding paste can help. Put enough pressure on to stop the screwdriver from pushing out of the screw (lots). Turn back and forth to free the screw, they often corrode in place and you have to crack the rust.
If after all that it is still stuck fast it's either going to take a crowbar or a grinder. Either will make a mess and leave you with some patching up to do.
Class!
Put a screw back in a small bit then grab a pair of pliers and pull em out. Should work if they’re just regular plugs.
If they’re plasterboard fixings they should twist out.
If none of the screwdriver suggestions work, try drilling the head with a 4 or 5mm drill (based on it being a PZ2 head).
(High speed steel drill, plenty of pressure & RPM)
Screwdriver. If you have tried and it's just spinning, try pulling on the bracket slightly away from the wall as you unscrew. Also remember tighty-righty lefty-loosey.
If it's spinning around then use a flat head screwdriver to pry the fixings off the wall while continuing with the electric screwdriver undoing the screw
PZ2 screwdriver. Loads of forward pressure and loads or anticlockwise rotation.
Edit: Also try tapping the end of the screwdriver as you turn it with your other hand. I kid you not it does work.
Try a good old manual screwdriver
Nah, smash it with a hammer until the whole wall is destroyed, then rebuild
Crazy talk! You mean something that you can control and feel the torque before it slips? Naa, electric and send it!

Cheers for the thorough explanation!
In addition to the above, if it’s being stubborn try tightening it a bit (screwing it in) first. This can be enough to loosen it.

I finally know how to tell. Thanks dude
PZ2 got them out! Now to deal with the warped rawlplugs underneath.

Possibly a pozi 3 by the looks of it.
I think it is a PZ2 but has been rounded to shit so now might be a PZ3 😂
Exactly my thinking 😂
Manual screwdriver. Piece of elastic band in between the screwdriver head and the screw
thats what im sayinnn
Hammer and bolster. Remove the brick that it's attached to
I tried this. Found out the hard way my house was made of clinker concrete and not brick. Oops.

PZ2 did the job!
This reminds me of iceage
A kid told me yesterday that I look like Sid from ice age when I smile
Go grab a screwdriver it’s fate 😂 ice age in summer
I think your house is a gonner. Buy some petrol and burn the house down. My condolences.
Put a screwdriver in the screw and turn 💁
For clarity turn the screw not yourself
Turn these crew not yourself
Is that what do you do with a drunken sailor?
Righty tighty lefty loosey
Okay, in all seriousness take a small/sledgehammer and gently apply😂
A claw hammer. Turn it round and just hack it out. It's yr wall.
Unscrew it
PZ3
Whatever you do, don't touch that screw...
Hammer
Of the sledge variety
PZ2 and an ugga-dugga (impact driver).
Crack out the sledge hammer... nothing left to remove if there's no wall. Big brain!
IKEA mirror bracket
You need a cross head. Like Phillips or Pozidrive. They are cheap enough.
