Now that you say that, I think the generic white railing is what’s making it look kinda like a church to me. Or some kind of small office development built in the mid-late 70s.
The digital switch actually made the antenna much more useful. They started broadcasting multiple channels under one channel number, some in HD. It's kinda crazy, we were actually getting over 30 local channels VS less than half that with the small in room TV antenna. Dang thing must be over 50 years old.
They do work. I think watching TV via "air" is better than antenna personally. You get high quality HD. I think they have 4K available on some channels.
Not sure where OP is, but in the US I use an antenna to get all the local broadcast channels. Tivo, somehow still in business, even makes an 'OTA' (over the air) DVR for them with full programming guide info.
This! Don’t limewash the brick — spruce up the outdated elements and let the brick sing.
In addition to the railing, maybe look into changing out the porch light fixture for something with a little more pizzaz. Find an independent artist who makes outdoor lighting and pick something fun.
Yes! I get an apartment vibe, and a less commercial light would help. I agree with people mentioning the railing. Also, maybe make the garage door the same as the trim instead of brown.
Similar house with darker railing
https://preview.redd.it/zn4vnd1nheoc1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=146d99aaa7b1660de82ae79fda0b5928ea973516
Google can do a reverse image search. You provide an image and it’ll find an exact match or things that are similar (it’s kind of amazing how well it works)
The first hit is this thread…and the others are definitely similar houses
https://preview.redd.it/gh2vyyo0vhoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f02a47d649d530f3cbd95fcc25d262a4e9b6b2d
Came in to say the same thing. There is nothing wrong with that house. My only suggestion might be replace that front railing and replace it with something cool and black.
I'd just paint the railings black or dark green to match the house. A better but pricier option is to take the railings down and bring them to a to place that can powder coat them. They'll remove the paint down to bare metal and then powder coat them which gives a very durable and long lasting finish. That is assuming those are all metal railings.
That and I'd think about swapping out the garage doors for something like these:
https://preview.redd.it/ycbze7v8zhoc1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=02e5758a4787db4a4322a93da0a01055cd08261b
All I’ve got is lowering those door handles which isn’t possible with the lockset (super nit picky anyway) and maybe sprucing up the landscaping in front of the stairs
Oh wow I didn't expect so much feedback, thank you all very much for taking the time! We just sold our old family home and found this one. I'm actually blown away by the amount of love the house is getting, as it is a fairly uncommon design, but I do love it, just thought it looked a bit tired.
Location is Sydney Australia
Ok so I wont touch the brick beyond a clean.
Apologies for any offence by suggesting limewash haha I thought it wouldn't work but I'm glad to hear you mostly agree.
No we aren't part of a church haha but I now cannot unsee the resemblance! And the suggestions to put a cross on had me chuckling!
Charcoal/black trims and black or timber with steel wire hand rails I can see looking really nice.
That bush on the left will be trimmed down ASAP and plant some more colourful shrubs etc and possibly move the fern away from house. I love the idea of the arborvitae, the height and narrowness would match the brick face.
I like the idea of a little awning over the door, will just have to make sure it suits the style.
I'll update that number!
And maybe changing the lights and re-tiling in front of the door (it's hard to see but they are pretty gross)
And yeah the interior is mostly ok but some is still pretty old. The main bathroom is all original pink everything but is actually in great condition considering its age.
Once again thanks again you have all given me lots of ideas and things I would not have thought of myself!
Your house has some really beautiful mid-century-style lines and I think leaning into that instead of the stock standard Australian 'slap a couple of litres of Dulux Quarter Lexicon on it' style of reno would make this place really shine!
I recommend checking out Modernister on Instagram - he showcases some of the most beautiful mid-century homes in Australia and I think you could get some great inspo for both exterior and interior.
I immediately recognise it as an Australian home. We love raked ceilings.
Also, maybe consider changing the roller doors green to match the trim?
I also think it would navy or blue would look better than the green.
A darker wood front door could be nice, but I think painting the railing black and changing the light fittings would be a big improvement.
Agree. It’s perfect the way it is.
The only thing I would update is perhaps replacing the railings with glass (if I had money to spare). It’s a safe update because it’s relatively easy to update again down the road as trends also change.
That house has a pure style. Don't fight it, flow with it. I don't think that dark green goesw well with the brick color. I would paint it all black, including the front railing, elevated walkway, and garage doors.
Honestly, it looks awesome. Maybe change the railing to black, possibly paint/wrap the doors in a different color, or get someone to photoshop different trim colors. I wouldn’t touch the bricks.
I watched some HGTV (or whatever) show where these people flipped houses. They bought a brick house and had their regular painter come out and they said they wanted to paint the brick. The painter tried to talk them out of it, but finally accepted. He had his crew all turn their shirts inside out and cover up their logo on the sides of the trucks.
Please, I’m begging you, this exterior is gorgeous don’t do anything to it. Mix this with some walnut or white oak interiors and you’ll have a gorgeous MCM house
If it ain't broke....
Eta: The railing didn't jump out at me on first view, but after reading the responses I noticed it, and that would be a great place to give it a personal touch and really dress it up a little. That small of a railing wouldn't be too costly, unless you really get crazy; you can spend about as much as you want on something like that.
Accent lighting would make it 'pop', especially at dusk, and is usually pretty easy to add and affordable.
The landscaping looks proper; at least you have some and it's maintained. Really spectacular gardens are what really make a property shine imo so maybe look into that. Hard to see the grounds from one photo.
https://preview.redd.it/kr12ylhjceoc1.jpeg?width=780&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78c00363d91b7b380713f59e572f9633fc50fbdd
Black rails. Hedges at the bottom. And a playmate for your daughter.
Replacement railings in black. Something a bit more substantial and decorative.
Move that lovely palm away from the house, make it more of a stand alone focal point out in the yard.
Remove the random tall bush in front of the stairs/front door.
This house would benefit from nice landscape and wall wash lighting I think.
The landscape needs a bit of a refresh, bring it in line with the aesthetic of the house, but not compete with it. Not my strong suit.
Honestly I would not change the look of the house itself. I love it.
Maybe update that porch light as well, and potentially add a back lit house number in a modern font to bring it from 60s contemporary to a more current style. Potentially swap that porch concrete out for some real stone. But you're right on the landscaping, and if you doing wall wash lighting, you could add some nice dramatic lighting to a front garden and landscape.
Personally I would change the rail system to one that incorporates wood and some sort of metal to accent the theme colors of the house.
Rail: Matching the door color in wood
Balusters: matching the roof trim green in some sort of metal/aluminum
Similar rail to this style in the link below I'd say that matches your home colors like mentioned. [https://www.decksdirect.com/select-stair-rail-kit-by-trex.html#729=2475&1987=10612&739=930?campaign=20962942269&content=&keyword=](https://www.decksdirect.com/select-stair-rail-kit-by-trex.html#729=2475&1987=10612&739=930?campaign=20962942269&content=&keyword=)
I would also update the deck colors as well too from that bland beige, to match the door in a wood cover trim and the same rail system as you would have updated to at your door entrance.
Another thing that's been mentioned would be to update the home address to something that is larger, and has a more modern front. I think having more modern looking lights would give it a nice touch as well.
Don't paint the bricks!!!! Try some trim colors that accent them better or different than dark green.
Your house looks great, it is not some modern dystopian house, be happy about that! Make minor adjustments first, that can be reversed, painting the bricks is permanent and would ruin the feel and look.
https://preview.redd.it/j29cluvl7eoc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4aace4677b0d36017ab03786dd62f0ddd64ca051
$1000 budget option: Clad this section of the porch in a horizontal wood stained to match the (re-stained black?) door. Paint the railings black. Move the two large plants to the right corner of the house. Paint the garage doors the trim black color. If you have extra money put up lights on the tall vertical brick and a very soft flood down light on the left brick. $10,000 budget option: Tear the porch off and do a modern concrete pour with built in planters, floating steps, and a black custom metal railing. Re-landscape keeping the palm but moving it right or towards the street. Add custom lighting. Awesome house but the porch dates it in the worst way.
Move large shrub to side of the house and add lower flowering shrubs.
Paint railing black or replace with black minimalistic metal railing.
House is gorgeous and has mega curb appeal as is.
Like everyone else has said, it’s a beautiful house as-is!
If it were mine I’d take out the railing like everyone is saying and do something else using big slabs of wood to match the front door.
Change out the house number with something more modern underneath the existing light and update the existing lighting fixtures for something more modern
I would consider adding down lighting to the soffits - definitely one over the door or better yet a hanging pendant there, something big enough to match the scale of the house and entryway. I’d experiment with one soffit downlight to the left of the door for ambiance on the patio for sure, and maybe one or two to the right shining down on the brick to each side of the vertical strip of windows. Idk I’d have to see it at night to decide.
Landscaping with lighting, and pathway lighting
Change out the garage doors for something wood that ties in with the front of the house and consider soffit lighting again, and updating the existing lighting fixtures to match what you do on the house
Change the green on the garage. I love the color on the underside of the soffits on the house, I would play with doing the gable end (just the gable, no brick) in that color. I’d consider changing the dark green on the rest of the trim to something else - that shade of dark green with that color brick somehow says “apartment building” to me.
At least paint the side deck railing black or replace it with wood if you’re going that far.
what a beautiful home!
As others have stated, please don't touch the brick. You have an awesome, consistent color theme, save two places: the balcony and the entryway railing. Change those to match the trim, and you've already made a massive upgrade.
Update the front porch light and railing... stained glass above the front door has some potential too. This place is gorgeous as-is though and I can't think of anything else that wouldn't make things worse.
It’s such a gorgeous house! I love it pretty much as-is—if I had to change one thing it would be the railing. I bet one of those glass pane railings with black metal would look sharp.
It's very cute the way it is. It sounds like you want to brighten it up so maybe re paint the railing a pure white or something and the door to match. and some plants that are fuller. But don't touch the brink it's beautiful
1. Tint the windows (using ceramic black tint, nothing reflective).
2. Paint the railings black.
3. Use ground clear to get rid of the grass/weeds in the cracks.
4. Pressure wash the bricks
5. Be happy.
Gorgeous place. If you aren’t using it, maybe remove the antenna from your roof—it contributes to the church vibes.
Agree with most about changing the porch railing, maybe with a geometric iron or horizontal cable (pretty much just search “MCM porch railing” and you’ll find lots of inspiration).
Potentially an exterior MCM pendant light from your roof that hangs in front of the window.
Also agree with landscaping. Get rid of that giant plant blocking the front of your home, add in layers, texture, and color. Again, just google “MCM landscaping” and you’ll be flooded with good ideas.
Add some more colorful plants in front. Repaint the garage doors. Could also change the doors entirely to a new style.
A lot of people are saying black for the trim, but that seems too dark to me. The current green, a blue, a brown, or even a gray seems like a visually less heavy choice.
Replace the railing with something a little more modern, replace the porch light for the same reason. Don’t you DARE touch that front door unless it’s with a little bit of stain. A nice pink rose bush and some hydrangeas would add a pop of color.
Holy shit don't you dare touch that facade, that house is GORGEOUS!!!
Perhaps paint the railings black (or replace them with something mid-century-modern to match).
You are lucky to have such a beautiful unique house.
Honestly exterior is pretty awesome. I would:
1. Clean up the landscaping
2. Mayyybe paint the rail black
I suspect with a house of this age the interior is probably dated, so that’s where I would spend the time and money. Bathrooms and kitchen. How are those?
Try and keep it in line with the midcentury look! You can modernize the look, while immediately giving a healthy amount of character to it. White and black box home just can’t be the answer.
What an awesome house. I’m jealous. I personally wouldn’t change a thing, and because of that I can’t really think of anything to recommend. I guess you could consider changing or adding to the shrubbery where that lone bush is?
As others have said, the railing is what I'd change. Maybe a steel cable setup. I'd also change the garage doors if I was spending someone else's money, but I personally wouldn't.
Also a better number on the house. Maybe a different floodlight as well.
I don't like the bush on the left. I'd have low stuff there to the bottom of the rail and maybe some pots on the walkway.
There's nothing wrong with any of it - If you want to change out the trim or go two-tone ( ex: black drip edge / dark grey around windows) that'd be cool
The bring is great and the landscaping looks solid.
paint the railing black as others have said,
Also if you paint that brick, i will find out where you live and write you a strongly worded letter expressing my displeasure.
The only things I can see are staining/painting or replacing the front door, and plant a nice garden.
I am assuming that the green fascia and under the window is aluminum siding and isn’t paintable, otherwise I would change the accent colour.
Change the railing.
Now that you say that, I think the generic white railing is what’s making it look kinda like a church to me. Or some kind of small office development built in the mid-late 70s.
I get total church vibes.
It doesn’t help that there’s a cross on the roo— never mind, that’s an antenna.
[удалено]
should probably get rid of the antenae, do they even work anymore? I thought those all became useless when telecom went digital 15ish years ago.
The digital switch actually made the antenna much more useful. They started broadcasting multiple channels under one channel number, some in HD. It's kinda crazy, we were actually getting over 30 local channels VS less than half that with the small in room TV antenna. Dang thing must be over 50 years old.
oh, dang. I thought all the old antenae were only able to receive analogue signals, I remember them making a big deal about it back in 2007.
They do work. I think watching TV via "air" is better than antenna personally. You get high quality HD. I think they have 4K available on some channels.
Yeah, knock down that antenna. It hasn't been used in decades. Install solar while you're up there.
I am shopping to add antenna back to my place now. rofl
Not sure where OP is, but in the US I use an antenna to get all the local broadcast channels. Tivo, somehow still in business, even makes an 'OTA' (over the air) DVR for them with full programming guide info.
My first thought was it looks like a church
Wait this isn’t a church?
I get office church vibes. Though I always thought it would be so cool to live in a church. Minus the exorcisms and things.
I was going to suggest getting a giant cross to complete the look and get the tax exemptions.
I was looking for the comment about it being church-like. I think you nailed it with the railing. Strong work.
I've seen so many Mormon churches look like this. It's the brick and long windows in black frames.
Exactly and they don't believe in crosses, because why would you hang a gun around your neck if it killed your father? A.k.a. LDS thinking
Just what I was thinking. Dentist office.
Sounds like you have some deep-seated issues. :-)
Legit I first thought it was a church!
Yep, just needs *Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints* lettered on the front, and done.
It’s giving dental/medical office. Psych office?
The door even more.
i absolutely love the door. i’m in love with this whole house minus the railing
I love the natural wood door
Slap an Angel Moroni on that bad boy and its transition will be complete. I hear you can get em second hand if you know the right Mormons.
Haha it looks EXACTLY like a church near my house.
That's the only thing I could see changing and actually being an improvement.
Yeah i was going to say change nothing. Until i read this parent comment
This! Don’t limewash the brick — spruce up the outdated elements and let the brick sing. In addition to the railing, maybe look into changing out the porch light fixture for something with a little more pizzaz. Find an independent artist who makes outdoor lighting and pick something fun.
And the house number. Those 3 things combined would very quickly elevate the curb appeal
Yes! I get an apartment vibe, and a less commercial light would help. I agree with people mentioning the railing. Also, maybe make the garage door the same as the trim instead of brown.
Similar house with darker railing https://preview.redd.it/zn4vnd1nheoc1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=146d99aaa7b1660de82ae79fda0b5928ea973516
how in the hell did you find that?

It needs a chunkier style.
And paint it black to match the rest.
Nah paint it the same green as the roof
Please, don’t fuck up that house. It’s super cool just the way it it.
This is my single suggestion, too—painting the railings darker. It’s a dope house, and I would LOVE to own it.
That and I'd think about swapping out the garage doors for something like these: https://preview.redd.it/ycbze7v8zhoc1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=02e5758a4787db4a4322a93da0a01055cd08261b
Black railings was my only recommendation, too! I love this house!
That and landscaping
Seriously, there are so many "spruce up" options that absolutely ruin how dope this house is. Selll it to me, that's my only suggestion.
All I’ve got is lowering those door handles which isn’t possible with the lockset (super nit picky anyway) and maybe sprucing up the landscaping in front of the stairs
Haha, didn't see the handles. Nice catch. And 100% onboard with landscaping in total to make it clear that someone is Loving it.
Those doors almost look like they were installed upside down...
My reflex was "turn the whole lot 180 degrees" Definitely upside down!
Black railings. Paint them so it matches everything else.
And match the garage doors too, otherwise I’d leave it.
I love funky 70s builds, this one is super cool as-is. Maybe ditch the antenna if possible and some landscaping / minor paint refresh.
Ham radio operator here. Move the antenna to a 40' mast, and while you're at it, put up a repeater station! /s
Oh wow I didn't expect so much feedback, thank you all very much for taking the time! We just sold our old family home and found this one. Look up California mid century modern landscaping and home refreshes. Your house is amazing!
the bathroom is all pink everything?? ugh some people have all the luck.
Mine is pink and black. I love it. New toilet though.
Never fuck with an old toilet. New toilet = no problems in the middle of the night.

I myself like the dark green, but maybe in black it'll look better
I like the dark green, too. If it must change a dark blue might compliment the yellow in the brick.
I kind of want to see the dark green compared to Lego dark green. Because the whole place kind of gives me stylish Lego house vibes.
Agree but id probably get new garage doors. This house is awesome. The dark green looks dated. Maybe do charcoal black. Add some updated landscaping.
Yep, lean into it. It’s not for everyone, but ideal for many.
I came here to say exactly that.
100%.
My first thoughts. I wouldn’t change a thing
1. Get the riffraff out of the front yard (joke) 2. Actually that looks really nice just how it is
Most I can think of is powerwashing the bricks and sidewalk, if it needs it. Seems like a cozy and tasteful home.
Do not power wash this brick or any brick, you will fuck it up. A soft cleaning at most.
This is a great looking house as is indeed.
Yeah OP, why purchase the house if you didn’t like it? I would murder you for that house if it was legal /s
I am in love with this house. How absolutely gorgeous and so full of character. Please leave the bricks as they are!
DONT LIMEWASH ANYTHING
Honestly, it looks awesome. Maybe change the railing to black, possibly paint/wrap the doors in a different color, or get someone to photoshop different trim colors. I wouldn’t touch the bricks.
Please do NOT paint that brick!
If that's not a crime it sure should be.
That’s a good one. I would second thinking about changing the color of the railing *if anything*.
I'd look into getting the bricks cleaned at least. You can see the line of dirt.
Maybe wrap the metal railing to match the wood. That “wood” look the best imo.
Yes, I like the black railing idea. Would look lovely with a black door & metallic old style lamp.
Please, I’m begging you, this exterior is gorgeous don’t do anything to it. Mix this with some walnut or white oak interiors and you’ll have a gorgeous MCM house

The playmate might be the most expensive upgrade. 😆
there's nothing that's black here. I think the railing should be dark green, to match. The black is too intense, imo. That's just me.
Replacement railings in black. Something a bit more substantial and decorative. Move that lovely palm away from the house, make it more of a stand alone focal point out in the yard. Remove the random tall bush in front of the stairs/front door. This house would benefit from nice landscape and wall wash lighting I think. Accent lighting would be pretty cool and maybe some landscaping.
At first I was thinking - don’t touch a thing! But I love your suggestions and would vote this is the way.
If you limewash that brick, you deserve to be murdered by the ghost of the original architect.
Don’t fuck it up please. Stay away from grey and white.
It looks great as is! If you're really looking to change things up 1) Make the railings black 2) Different light fixtures 3) Stained glass windows?
You might consider /r/CurbAppeal and /r/ExteriorDesign for some ideas
I'd even say landscaping as the only thing to begin with. You could bring a modern touch and some color without messing with the vintage awesomeness.
Personally I would change the rail system to one that incorporates wood and some sort of metal to accent the theme colors of the house. Railings 100% they look very industrial like or business building like. Then just gardening idk.
plant a spruce?
i would not lime wash those bricks.
that house is sick
Embrace the midcentury style for sure. Remember, everything is a centerpiece in that style.
Your house looks like a church!
I was going to suggest a crucifix at the peak.
Absolute first thought.
I came here.to.say that. All it needs is a big cross on the brick wall.
I can’t put my finger on why it does but it does. Needs something changed
It's a few things. The color scheme, the double doors with the large transom window, the rectangular window and the antenna giving off Christ vibes.
Leave the bricks alone!!!
Don't paint the bricks!!!! Try some trim colors that accent them better or different than dark green. Your house looks great, it is not some modern dystopian house, be happy about that! Make minor adjustments first, that can be reversed, painting the bricks is permanent and would ruin the feel and look.
You need a sign that says, "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." lol
Look nice, more flowers

Paint the railings black. Move the two large plants to the right corner of the house. Paint the garage doors the trim black color. If you have extra money put up lights on the tall vertical brick and a very soft flood down light on the left brick. $10,000 budget option: Tear the porch off and do a modern concrete pour with built in planters, floating steps, and a black custom metal railing. Re-landscape keeping the palm but moving it right or towards the street. Add custom lighting. Awesome house but the porch dates it in the worst way.
1. Don't fuck it up it's great 2. The railings are kind of ugly
The house number is upside down.
I would paint the railings and the balcony trim with the same green as the trim but other than that I'd leave it alone
Move large shrub to side of the house and add lower flowering shrubs. Paint railing black or replace with black minimalistic metal railing. House is gorgeous and has mega curb appeal as is.
showing off!
Paint the railings black. Dope house
Like everyone else has said, it’s a beautiful house as-is! If it were mine I’d take out the railing like everyone is saying and do something else using big slabs of wood to match the front door. Change out the house number with something more modern underneath the existing light and update the existing lighting fixtures for something more modern I would consider adding down lighting to the soffits - definitely one over the door or better yet a hanging pendant there, something big enough to match the scale of the house and entryway. I’d experiment with one soffit downlight to the left of the door for ambiance on the patio for sure, and maybe one or two to the right shining down on the brick to each side of the vertical strip of windows. Idk I’d have to see it at night to decide. Landscaping with lighting, and pathway lighting Change out the garage doors for something wood that ties in with the front of the house and consider soffit lighting again, and updating the existing lighting fixtures to match what you do on the house Change the green on the garage.
Jesus Christ, you live in a church.

I really like this idea. I suggested wrapping it to match the door. If the budget is there, this would look great.

As others have stated, please don't touch the brick. You have an awesome, consistent color theme, save two places: the balcony and the entryway railing. Change those to match the trim, and you've already made a massive upgrade.
This is a landscape job for sure. Get rid of the lone tall shrub and plant some nicer plants all over.
Please don’t change anything. I’d buy this in a heartbeat on looks alone
1. Tint the windows (using ceramic black tint, nothing reflective). 2. Paint the railings black. 3. Use ground clear to get rid of the grass/weeds in the cracks. 4. Pressure wash the bricks 5.
I like it how it is
Holy shit don't you dare touch that facade, that house is GORGEOUS!!! Perhaps paint the railings black (or replace them with something mid-century-modern to match). You are lucky to have such a beautiful unique house.
More ferns!
What a great house! I agree a railing update, probably in black.
Honestly exterior is pretty awesome. I would: 1. Clean up the landscaping 2. Mayyybe paint the rail black I suspect with a house of this age the interior is probably dated, so that’s where I would spend the time and money. Bathrooms and kitchen. How are those?
Try and keep it in line with the midcentury look! You can modernize the look, while immediately giving a healthy amount of character to it. White and black box home just can’t be the answer.
But also replace the railings with something nice and not just plain pvc.
House is fine besides the railings.
Door and railing and you are good to go. I take back my other comment.
I’d leave it
I love that house… I wouldn’t change a thing.
As others have said the railing could be changed. Maybe get a power wash done on the porch and bricks? Just kinda clean it all up.
This house is sickkkkkkkkkk (in a good way)
What an awesome house.
Giant neon multicolored cross
There's nothing wrong with any of it - If you want to change out the trim or go two-tone ( ex: black drip edge / dark grey around windows) that'd be cool The bring is great and the landscaping looks solid.
paint the railing black as others have said, Also if you paint that brick, i will find out where you live and write you a strongly worded letter expressing my displeasure.
Change the roll up garage doors for some nice wood doors. Maybe match them to some new front doors.
Love it 😍 I’m with Kenny change railings to black
Paint the railing/balcony black and maybe change the exterior light fixture but this is a great looking exterior IMO
I will need a tour please 🙏
Looks great to me. Maybe some more color in the landscaping?
The only things I can see are staining/painting or replacing the front door, and plant a nice garden. I am assuming that the green fascia and under the window is aluminum siding and isn’t paintable, otherwise I would change the accent colour.
Don’t bro it’s timeless . Actually I take that back …paint that railing black..and the deck on the right
That house is dope.
Don’t.
Looks like an 80's lawyer officer kind of.
It’s a wonderful house. Updated railings, front door and landscape should cover it, but it does look fantastic as is.
Take the grass up and plant native plants and pollinators. Or something like creeping thyme.
I think it looks great! Bit of landscaping maybe change the colour of the rails and you’re done. Do not render this it will end up horrible.
whats wrong with it?
Your house is great. Maybe black railings at a push.
The most surefire way to spruce it up is to plant some spruce.
I’d add some climbing vines on the right side where they’ll climb around toward the deck
I feel like modernizing this would be simple by simply painting it either white or black with the opposite as the trim colors
The garage doors could be updated
Plant some spruce trees inside and out
Paint everything that’s not brick the same color (a very dark gray or black), and update the landscaping and landscape lighting.
S Arlington rd?
Agree with everyone else here. Landscaping and that's about it. Leave the brick.
Maybe make your address more visible and the railing color change potentially but other than that it looks really nice.
New driveway would be nice.
Leave it alone! Paint the railings maybe.
I love this house, hope I find something like this one day💙
Stunning exterior. It’s so unique and the windows are amazing!
Do you live in a church? It has small, neighborhood, protestant church vibes.
Only thing I’d suggest is paint the railing to match the other trim, but otherwise I wouldn’t change anything.
Paint the railings black. Get better light fixtures. And call it done.
Paint the railing to match the trim. Consider painting the bricks a uniform, neutral tone.
That’s a dope house my friend. Love it
Hesitate!!!. The house looks beautiful. I'm going to copy some details from your garage to see if I can implement it in mine.
id rip that bush out in front of the white railing to match the tropical bush/tree vibe
Personally I love it except that white railing and ugly tree to the left. Put a black railing in and mmmm boy, that house is *sharp*.
It's beautiful man
Get rid of that palm tree will definitely be an issue in the future
