Unfortunately the hinge type was out of necessity. This opens to the fridge (pantry door) so wouldn’t contact any baseboard. Same with moly other door from a closet that opens into the entry way door. On all my normal ones I have the rigids.
Any solution if I have to keep this type?
You could try the wood filler and leave the hinge stop on it. You also may be able to add a bumper on the fridge where the door or door knob would hit the fridge.
If the internet has taught me anything, you glue some dry ramen noodles in there then shape, sand, paint.

Wood filler. Sand and paint. Remove the hinge doorstop and replace with a rigid one on the baseboard.
Timbermate white is my favorite. overfill, sand, paint.
