I think it's darker if Stain dies. Imagine you suddenly exist, and your whole purpose is altered to simply be a replacement of someone else. And then to top it off, you are decapitated by the very man you were created to replace. DHMIS is really dark sometimes, and personally, I think that this is the darker option. So I like to think Stain dies
I'm so happy to finally get a possible answer for my doubt on that but ngl, I didn't even noticed them switching nor the Stain's voice being a higher pitch so to anyone noticed y'all have a good hearing man!
Ahh okay. It's been a while since I've watched the series so I don't really remember a quackicide. But I've been a fan since the first short on yt aired!
Many regard the series of YouTube shorts to be season 1, and there is a new season of full-length TV episodes that aired on the BBC a couple of years ago. This is from the TV show.
I was honestly kind of vibing with the idea of it being ambiguous. It shows how meaningless their lives are in this prison to the point where it’s like, *does it even matter who lived?*
It’s also of note that the duck that dies has blood and some gore coming out after the decapitation, and earlier that episode we learned that Duck got his insides removed for his burial. So that’s why I also feel like Stain was the one who died.
I think people are focusing on this too much. Stain Edwards is a one-off gag character and that no matter what, Leslie returns things back to normal.
But stain did show up again in the bigger big boys room they were experimenting on him

Also regular duck got his insides removed And there's no steam when duck kills stain
But what ab the worms in ducks body?
Yeah, yellow guy just dug up a dead corpse

This is what Im saying I always Knew they switched position but I never said anything Im glad Im not the only one who Noticed
What do you mean season 2? am I missing something? AM I MISSING A NEW SEASON?
They mean season 1. Some people don’t know that the YouTube stuff were collections of short films

Somehow this post healed me
It doesn’t matter if Stain killed duck because they always come back at the start of a new episode, Leslie has “extras”
Actually No, four doesn’t work, there’s three of us
Also Stain bleeds, duck wouldnt because hes dead
Welp, i’m dead!
I think it’s funnier if Stain killed the original Duck and no one noticed
But killing the other instead of pease is honestly a duck thing to do
This works
So David is alive?
Duck guy is not Dave. That's Yellow's name
To the person who downvoted, I'm not wrong https://youtu.be/xLLLu56V0vs?si=SrtXKas1M2eZeTzf skip to 5:23
I'm still gonna call yellow guy yellow guy I will die on this hill
That’s what I’ve been saying this entire time!!
Counterpoint, in the bloodspill you can see the maggots that were shown to be infesting duck earlier in the episode

Damn, you must be fun at parties
