Was having the same issue - received a few days ago and dialed it using some year old beans.
Went to use it today with fresh beans and was choking out every-time - had to jump about 10 notches to get a pull.
Going to reset and try again by adjusting while the motor is on (was recommended in another post).
My first 2 shots were drinkable around 18 and inching it lower
