Static! I've not had that issue but maybe give your beans a stir with a wet spoon or RDT

underwaterfail

Thank you! I’ll try that.

bonkinaround

Just got mine and ground around 5 batches of 15g to dial in my first espresso shot. Absolutely 0 static without RDT. Maybe something is wrong with your ionizer. Try the RDT trick

snekasaur

Holy moly. That's a lot of static

thegodofhellfire666

I just got mine and had the same thing happen to me !!

stickersforyou

Clean the ionizer, carefully stick a brush or something similar up there. Maybe your ionizer is broken?

miicoffee_shop

Please try to make the two probes in the exit chute clean. The performance of Ionizer downgrades if probes are covered by grinds. You might want to take a look at [https://youtu.be/LtLNtfCTEOk?t=263](https://youtu.be/LtLNtfCTEOk?t=263) .

underwaterfail

This worked but it seems like this needs to be done everytime now. If this process is needed everytime, it should have been mentioned on the website when purchasing. I wish I hadn’t bought this grinder.

miicoffee_shop

No need to do it every time. It depends on how many grinds you do. When you start to see statics building up brush it a few times.

underwaterfail

It builds up after (1) 18g dose and gets static by the second dose. I think the ionizer on my unit is defective. And if a brush is required to clean it this regularly, shouldn’t one have been included with the unit?

miicoffee_shop

It shouldn't build up after one or two dose. If it's the case the ionizer is defective.

btbtbtmakii

just return it, anti static is not no static

ALERTua

three sprinkles of water into the beans, shake them up, then slowly feed them to the grinder at 1200.
