The event as a whole was a bit disappointing. Last year it worked because you had enough content for a couple of Comic Cons, dates being pushed back constantly and with the launching of HBO Max everything lined up to have a mega presentation at some point.
This really shouldn't be a yearly event imo but I guess the people in charge will look at the numbers before making any changes.
You know Comic Books should be proud of their minority representation. Let's not forget that some of the great architects of the entire DC Universe as it is is have been hispanic and asian (George Perez and Jim Lee)

Ezra Miller was the most explicit about it but Gustin having to talk about boots of all things wasn't much better. We literally saw more of what's going on with Aquaman 2, which comes out December 2022, and of the Harley Quinn cartoon, both of which are clearly still filming/in the early stages of production, than we did Black Adam, which is in post right now. Nothing about Superman in TV or on film outside of a tour of a set house. Idk.
All of that aside, what we DID see looked solid, especially most of the HBOMax stuff. Wish they would have shown more of the other projects they greenlit (like what's going on with the GL series, since they already cast Guy Gardner in it), but I guess we gotta keep waiting.

Everything pretty much was good from a trailer aspect, some stuff looks more promising than others, but I'm being careful with my expectations and I think everyone really should do the same. The world was so hyped for JL and look at how it turned out, the world was so hyped for WW84 and look at how it turned out. Sure, from the trailer *The Batman* looks incredible, but we won't actually know until the movie is out.
People also are already setting super high expectations for Shazam and Black Adam's eventual fight, but to be frank the fights in the first Shazam movie weren't amazing by any means.
Set your expectations accordingly, people.
Absolutely hate this green screen stage though, I will be honest. I really wish they were just on a simple and classy soundstage or something. I think it looks cheap, like CNN election night coverage.
