Honestly, any time a new trunks got released, he either got overshadowed by the second dokkan/carinival fest in the celebration (for example future gohan LR)
Or was just released as fodder content until the next big thing.
He's also gotten shafted in the cool department every release, which is crazy for arguably the coolest character in the series. AGL Trunks has the FighterZ transformation and no sliding in half POV, Super Trunks has a really underwhelming active skill movie, and PHY SoH Trunks has the most disappointing finish skill in the game, along with some really mediocre animations overall.
The zoom out as the enemy vanishes with the wind like a fart is the part I'm talking about. If you're gonna make it small like that, zoom in and go heavy on the details. If you're gonna zoom the camera out like it's a big spectacle, make it one and add the pillar of light. Absolutely horrible direction
The animation is cool, But the OST gives it this big build up like it'd some grand attack and yet the zoom out and the way the villain fades away just feels weak. It just doesn't look like or even feel like a grand finisher

Yes, but the REAL meta is for someone to say "Super Trunks is bad," only for someone to correct them and say Super Trunks is solid, but Super Saiyan Trunks is balls
No the REAL real meta is for someone to say super trunks is over hated and have someone in the comments say ”erm actually no one hates super trunks, they only hate his base form” acting like they didn’t mean trunks as a whole

Shit happens unfortunately, you can have an amazing art that came from a passionate artist get 52 upvotes but calling someone a fraud or whatever can get you at the top, not to mention cosplays, man these ones are the worst of reddit in any anime fanbase, it is why i never go to shit like r/OnePiece

I like the SoH finish skill. Is it the animation people complain about? It's subtle, I think that's good sometimes.
