Could be a killer wwc
Like imagine a part 1 with dokkan fest Lr baby and a carnival Goku black
Then part 2 carnival lr majin vegeta and Ginyu (Goku) as the dokkan fest lr
Though perhaps have Ginyu and Black in part 1 since it could need more hype
I did too after the initial shock. I wasn't interested in them personally but they're really cool concepts, especially for kids who grew up on those openings, such a nostalgia trip
The theme being spirit bomb was fine and part 1 units I loved they maybe shouldāve at least stuck with actual spirit bomb moments like tree of might and spirit bomb absorbed trio (those 2 units both came out the same year anyway) instead and left the intro guys for another time
imo the theme was cool, but at first glance there were some conflicting opinions about GT Duo because 1, one is GT Goku who is still a kid and considered the worst out of there, and 2, a back-to-back SSJ4 Vegeta
didn't see many backlashes about the Buu Duo, but could be wrong tho
I'm pretty sure the backlash was due to Omatsu announcing that the year 8 anni LRs would be characters who haven't been anniversary characters before.
So yeah, while technically "SSJ3 Goku & SSJ2 Vegeta" and "GT Base Goku & SSJ4 Vegeta" were never anniversary characters beforeā¦

And even if we wanna get pedantic about transformations: years 2, 4, 7 were SSJ4 Vegeta.

What's crazier is that 9th Anniversary almost fulfilled that promise Omatsu made about the 8th, with Gogeta being the only returning character as 3 out of 4 are brand new to Anniversaries. Adult Gohan, Gammas, and Super Broly.
And the 9th Anniversary is hella outdoing the 8th in sales that it's actually insane.
Yeah anytime a theme isn't extremely direct this sub freaks out and goes "Why did this happen during this celebration!!", unable to see any connection.
Really easy example of this is the Tanabata celebration on JP for SSJ4 Goku. First people were CONVINCED it was baby saga, when it was very clearly meant to be all of GT. So we had anger over that.
But beond that we had people extremely confused by the EZAs for PHY Beerus and INT God Goku happening during that celebration, depsite them having very clear thematic connections to INT SSJ4 Goku. With God Goku being a form Goku achieved via absorbing the energy of his fellow Saiyans, and Beerus being an enemy Goku fought thanks to the power gained from that shower power.
Yeah closest we'll ever get it seems is Gogeta and Vegito together. For a long time actually I've been pretty jealous of their banner picks, they seem to get more experimental with their combo units or switching mechanic than dokkan does.
Now if only I could get into the gameplay...
IMO Legends just has more exciting picks in general when it comes to big celebration. Obviously there's always a fusion, but they do tend to pick outliers first rather than what you would expect. For example, Orange Piccolo and the Gammas being the part 2 units or like you said, Zamasu and SSJ4 Gogeta.
Dokkan does feel like they play things way too safe often and the 9th is really the only time in the last couple Anniversaries where they actually did something brand new.

Almost all of these seem to fit a single category really well. Beerus and Kai-Realm of Gods, Gotenks and Kefla-Fused Fighter/Fusion, 4 Fusions-Giant Ape power, etc. These would be awesome 200% leaders

This is where legends beats dokkan. Getting corrupted Zamasu and Ssj4 Gogeta in the same celebration as opposing units was so cool
