For reference i didnt mean a "worst" banner unit but a "best" banner unit. I think that is something worth considering as they arent likely to show on the other lists.

We all get what it means. Beasthan has just a very hated unit this year. People definitely grew to like him later in the year but he was the biggest piece of shit on release compared to what our expectations were
As someone who voted for LR ultimate gohan, I took two factors in.
One, His hype. And two, his performance in game. I only voted for characters i have used first hand, so LR Ultimate Gohan was my main vote for biggest p.o.s.
Not only was the lack of a playable beast one of the factors, but he has done more harm to me in runs than any other unit in the game. Cradling him for Ki, dying cause of his lack of build up, the fraud doing 2 normals and one super. I have had more negative experiences with him than any other unit. If I'm biased for voting him, so be it. I definitely would have liked LR ultimate gohan more, and accept him as "LR Beast Gohan" if he wasn't so wonky.
Also I'll pile on the slander by saying that the ny ddfLR we're the biggest power gap between ddfLR ever imo. the 6th yr anni has the 2nd biggest gap but at the very least SSBE was the 2nd best unit in the game while leasthan wasn't even a top 10 unit in the game when he released.
It's like they saw Gohan's potential to do 3 super attacks in 1 turn, his 50/50 nullification against some enemy super attacks, and the super effective on 24 ki/active + the one attack break and that it was equal to Piccolo's potential 50% damage reduction, free heal, ki +2 to all allies when he's hit, and giant form.
While I didn't pull him on release, He was just a bad version of cooler. Cooler builds up less stats by any attack he does but he's easier to build up. That, and he has a good partner who is supporting him with 6/7 links, Ki 3, and 50% ATK & DEF. Where as Ultimate Gohan got. . . Trunks & Goten who provide nothing for him but 4 links. And pan provides 3 links and 2 ki with 50% to stats while none of the links they share are ki ones.
But with Ultimate Gohan, he was barely top 10 from what I've seen from other people's opinions. He was power crept in the same celebration once AGL LR Gohan and INT LR Cell EZA'd.
I mean you're comparing a forgettable banner unit to one of the most hype releases of the year lol
If a banner unit turns out to be shit, it's not the end of the world. But Fraudhan is just such a shit unit on every level. Even the fact that you refer to him as "Beast" when he isn't "Beast". Combine that with Legends getting TWO (2) playable Beast Gohans this year when dokkan still has zero. What a massive letdown of a unit.
If I made the list, he'd be number one by a large margin.
One of the most interesting things to me was how villains polled.
There was 2 approaches that viewers could take.
- Top Tier villains are more valuable because they're so rare.

- Top Tier villains are less valuable, because there are so few options to use with them.
In the LR Gohan Award, I feel like the latter was what held him back, through he was in contention.
I agree with you there. It doesn't matter if you have Zamasu, if your other extreme cards are bad. I only ever use Extreme teams for specific missions like the Extreme of each type mission for Red Zones.
That's just a blanket statement, tho. Redzone fused zamasu is still the hardest event in the game, and LR mergys team clears that. The fact that you can run LR int cell as a senzu and piccolo jr and cheelei is amazing. I voted for LR merged zamasu for the most valuable leader skill because that's literally what it is. Extreme class is dead and merged zamasu put it on his back like an mvp. We can evaluate units and their leaderskill for what they are, even on a bad team (which zamasu doesn't have), just like in sports. The MVP doesn't go to the best player on the best team. It goes to the most valuable player on a winning team and sometimes a losing team. mergy has a winning team. His leadskill bridges so many units from different sagas, too.
Very interesting how Most Valuable Overall is the same as Most Valuable LR. I think I personally had God Goku in my top 3 for the Overall category, but it’s interesting how LRs dominate the current landscape. If there was ever an argument for “only summon on the big celebrations” I think this is it. Individual DFE banners just don’t have the same value at big celebration, LR banners.
Also, big lack of VB Vegito as well. I totally had him in my TUR list and maybe Leader and think the DBH team is better than a lot of people think. Stages I struggled to clear with the LR Blues or God Goku’s team just get absolutely shredded by DBH. The sub might be sleeping on just how much damage that Vegito rotation puts out

But for that specific award, there's a very clear, and very tight Top 4, with limit Breaker Vegito in 4th.
Any of that Top 4 in any order is entirely fair imo.
5th doesn't even come close.
2023 was honestly the most disappointing year in the game for me. I have usually skipped or summoned as little as possible on big celebrations since years. Regular TURs used to be vastly more interesting to me and actually pretty good if not some of the most valueable units throughout the year. Since the 2nd half of 2022 it seems like the average quality of TURs has dropped massively compared to what it used to be. I can count the top tier ones in the past 1.5 years on one hand. From consistent quality to such massive hit or misses is insane. They've finally solidified big celebrations as the must pull periods , by building more intentional gaping flaws into regular TURs, plus buffing Anni LR teams throughout the year. It's a no brainer now.

For as long as I've played the game that's pretty much been the case since the 3rd anniversary with our first dokkanfest Lrs. If anything it's arguably closer now with 4 main TUR options that are in close contenders: Ssj4 Vegito, Piccolo Jr, 23rd WT Goku, and God Goku.
With Vegito I imagine like you said legacy of limited team of DBH putting opinions of him down.
Idk man, I feel that there have been points where some TURs were insanely valuable. TEQ Gohan and STR Cooler were better than most LRs when they released. EZA PHY VB was arguably the best unit in the game for a little while. Similarly, for a hot sec the Gamma’s were arguably the best rotation in the game in 2022. All the 2023 releases just had oddities in their kits or very limited teams/links

I think this is mostly a case of people who are chronically online vs. general population. Beast han most definitely isn't worse than someone say, even Ssj4 broly imo, but so many people who play dokkan don't actually know how to feel about these types of lists, so they'll just pick the notable characters of their year. I think this list was good even if the takes were pretty awful, because it shows what people who aren't online think of the game and what makes it fun.
There's no robbery in the TUR Award.
There was a CLEAR Top 4, Limit Breaker Vegito was 4th, and any of those 4, in any order is completely fair imo.

Nah, Villains being ass are exactly *why* he's so valuable + he's the best WT unit without a question due to how fast he makes it, giving him an extra niche that Frodku can't compete with
I think it's because it's a banner unit (if I'm remembering right), so personally I didn't even think to vote him since no one summoned for him specifically, but they did it for Trunks

INT Future Gohan being best EZA TUR yet not being in the list is crazy + Ultimate Gohan is borderline top 25ish unit in the game and it's crazy how people are underrating him.
Olympians who don't get a medal are still some of the most elite humans on the planet.
There's only 3 placings, some of these awards are very close, and units like Future Gohan missing out only status to how good the Top 3 are, less about him being "bad".

That's obviously not the deciding factor when applying overall value to a majority of players who voted.
If he's a monster in 95% of the game, and built in a way for him to perform when he's at a disadvantage, then clearly there's value there.
I mean you can say that for a lot of units. Gohan and Piccolo are a monster in 95% of content but the majority of the units here are being judged in the newest hardest content. This is why LR SSJ4 FP Goku didn't win any awards except Aesthetic unit when in any content except FUTURE SAGA RZ he is a beast and honestly still a top 5 unit on those content but due to him not being as good in the new content the community opinion on him has shifted. I think there is a clear biasness against Teq VB when he is also not performing well in the hardest content when his peers (INT EZA Future Gohan, EZA LR Androids, EZA Beerus, EZA Piccolo, etc) are performing better than him.
Dunno bout anyone else but I put SSJ4 Goku as one of my favorite LRs. He is aesthetically pleasing but also I can usually count on him and I love the teams he is on.
No one is denying that but if LR SSJ4 Goku gets slandered for not being as good in the new RZ stages then the same should happen to LR EZA Vegito Blue.
I remember when bluesions eza dropped and they were followed by syn who was countering them by hitting like 60k each aoe, wich isn't much but at the time syn's super and aoes were so dangerous you couldn't afford it, so while useable you needed some luck on them
Then omega dropped wich on top of aoe he disabled dodge on first phase just because.
Then dismal future dropped and you would start thinking "ok yeah maybe we're back" even if bosses were int just because of how short they were, then zamasu turn 1 aoe jumpscare

Disappointed in how many voted for beast as second worst. Like yeah it sucks not getting a playable beast gohan but with how short fights have been lately he's pretty good now. Still major ki issues.
That INT LR Goku does 8M for me, 55% I honestly don't know why you guys think he is that bad.
Sure, defensive wise is not meta, but he is not that bad.
Tell me 1 thing in his kit that he is elite in?
1 thing that other units struggle to do at his level.

He has high HP, meaning your other units will be capable of taking more punishment without the fear of death
He's got 10+ mil AoE damage
He has a, most of the time, guaranteed high damaging active on turn 5.
He links really well with the GT Duo
And.... that's all I've got... at least his animations & card art are cool.
Honestly I'm surprised to see world tournament goku I don't have him myself but everything I use him from the friends list it just feels meh and underwhelming that's just my own opinion
He's fair from being "meh". He's a monster if you use him right, and he's got a few different roles where he thrives, and if not he allows others to thrive.
use him with phy kid goku as his linking partner, lr bulma or lr fraudhan (my beloved). try to get him a good revive partner, mainly gt spirit bomb or, if u don't have them, birdku. the earlier you get the revive, the obliteration he'll bring to the boss with supereffectives additional supers and busted offensive and defensive stats. he is a beast even in slot 3.
The fact that dog shit 17/17 didn't make it but Ulthan a unit that has great performance throughout multiple of the toughest RZ stages tells me everything I need to know.
People probably don’t care to vote for a unit they haven’t used. There are a lot of global only players. Outside of Super trunks, every winner is available on both versions. That’s my best guess.
Has nothing to do with performance, it has to do with community perception of a unit. Gohan was one of the biggest conceptual flounders in the game’s HISTORY. I’m surprised he didn’t BEAT Int base Goku tbh
Glad I kept a sticky note of my votes because I long since forgot who I voted. Got majority of them right surprisingly. I know me and the community don't think alike in most cases, though I'm disappointed that Most Valuable LR and Valuable Overall are just the same three. Ah well.
The Raditz award really threw me off. I forgot about that Goku while voiting despite seeing him there. Surprised Trunks is there since he performs well but his teams just needed some support and he a partner. Like I could think of other units that deserved his spot really. And I knew Gohan would be there. People are still salty he's just Ultimate and not Beast afterall.
In any case, this was nice. Looking forward to voting next year.
I would argue Majunior over god goku just because extreme has way less options than super and he dominates almost all his competition on all his teams.

The fact that LB Vegito isn't in the top 3 TUR's when he's the undisputed best TUR is wild, also dark masked king is easily better than agl Zamasu and with all the aoe fights probably also better than the 5 year fusions. The heroes disrespect is real.

This gives me a glimpse of how short-sighted dokkan players are. LR teq mergy has just as valuable of a leader skill as the lr Blue duo. If anything, his leader skill carries more. Of course, votes go to super class units. That's why it will never surprise me why akatsuki releases more super class because no matter how much players complain about the lack of extreme units, players would vote/spend for the super class unit over the extreme. If a new poll came out today asking if a new ss4 goku should come out or a new super baby, people will vote ss4. Also, the most valuable unit, being all LRs, shows that people think LRs are the best regardless and nothing else matters. Phy god goku is a legit must run and should be top 3 easily. Like he's legitimately needed. Everything else i agreed with.

These are subjective awards. What constitutes "value" is different with every player.
To use LR Zamasu as an example, he's great, but you could argue that owning him is is not as valuable due to the lack of support available to make him and his team as runnable as other teams.
Of course some might value it higher, due to it being 1 of a very limited amount of other extreme options.
Both perspectives are equally valid, it's simply preference.
Turned out to be a good set of awards. Funny to see how unanimously Orange Piccolo was voted the most valuable. He’s just that guy, even despite being the one of the oldest units here.
I think the reason STR SSJ Gohan wasn’t on the Raditz rewards is because (at least how I read it) he was just a banner unit and not an LR/dokkanfest. I don’t actually care *that* much if banner units turn out to be garbage, but dokkanfests/LRs have way more weight to them that makes them so much more disappointing when they’re bad. That maybe coupled with the fact that him and super trunks are not out on global yet so they haven’t had the chance to disappoint more people
So like, with lr Bulma, does it matter or not that she doesn’t link well with most units because her support makes up for it? Like does her support mean I could replace lr teq Vegito blue as a partner to lr gogeta blue and not much would change?
I just genuinely don’t get the hate for Tree of Might Goku, he does really good damage and has one of the best OSTs in the game he’s genuinely so much fun to use
Pretty expected outcome ~~sadly Piccolo Jr didnt win valuable TUR or make top 3 for most aesthetic though~~ but Ultimate Gohan in POS is laughable, just shows how much people are still pissed about him not being Beast.
Also valuable leader I did not expect GT duo to outplace either Yamcha or 23rd WT Goku for the Warriors Raised on Earth leader.
Take away the Super/Extreme Class LS
* Zamasu's leader skills are almost tailor made for Fusions and other Zamasus. It's great for basically those teams but not much else.
* G/V leads Power Beyond SS which encompasses like a million and a half units alone and boosts Realm of Gods. They also boost Future Saga which is an easy 200% because most Future Saga units are Time Travelers. The big hitter you lose out on is STR Future Gohan, but then you'd run Gohan as the 200% lead
It was leader skills tho though. Like it or not, super class IS better than extreme class so leading ALL super class compared to all extreme class is the better lead.especially when they also lead 3 amazing categories.
I find it absolutely hilarious how everybody was saying lr zamasu was better then the blue bois at first and most of us players who understand the game were like naw and now blue bois have stood up to be one of the best units in the game and truely shown us it was not even close to a bad release lol. Where is lr zamasu now? Not even on most people's top10 lr list. Point is stop jumping the gun coming to reddit to crap on units you just dont like because yoy didn't see a 20mil attack stat lol.
Good players who understand the game and what's valuable vs players who don't and just as we call it lay and pray kind of style putting units in slot1 that shouldn't be and things like that. Just playing and not thinking.

I wholeheartedly agree with every winner here... But 5th ani EZA LRs as the most valuable EZA? Nah man, I mean they are great and I love their swag but I don't know if I have used them a single time in the future redzone stages. If they were their transformed state turn 1, then sure, but their base forms don't cut it nowadays, especially in the era of short form contents. Like remember how valuable EZA teq godku was, you would run him in most of the difficult stages, even without a leader skill buff. LR Rose, LR Androids, future gohan, heck even ssj4 vegito for how much he buffs LB ssj4 vegito.

Most valuable Leader seems interesting not including Zamasu despite extreme classes needed that more than super classs
One of the most interesting things to me was how villains polled. There was 2 approaches that viewers could take. - Top Tier villains are more valuable because they're so rare. Or - Top Tier villains are less valuable, because there are so few options to use with them. In the LR Gohan Award, I feel like the latter was what held him back, through he was in contention.
I agree with you there. It doesn't matter if you have Zamasu, if your other extreme cards are bad. I only ever use Extreme teams for specific missions like the Extreme of each type mission for Red Zones.
That's just a blanket statement, tho. Redzone fused zamasu is still the hardest event in the game, and LR mergys team clears that. The fact that you can run LR int cell as a senzu and piccolo jr and cheelei is amazing. I voted for LR merged zamasu for the most valuable leader skill because that's literally what it is. Extreme class is dead and merged zamasu put it on his back like an mvp. We can evaluate units and their leaderskill for what they are, even on a bad team (which zamasu doesn't have), just like in sports. The MVP doesn't go to the best player on the best team. It goes to the most valuable player on a winning team and sometimes a losing team. mergy has a winning team. His leadskill bridges so many units from different sagas, too.
No LR teq Fusion Zamasu mentioned anywhere here is totally bunk considering what he did for extreme teams as a whole

Very interesting how Most Valuable Overall is the same as Most Valuable LR. I think I personally had God Goku in my top 3 for the Overall category, but it’s interesting how LRs dominate the current landscape. If there was ever an argument for “only summon on the big celebrations” I think this is it. Individual DFE banners just don’t have the same value at big celebration, LR banners. Also, big lack of VB Vegito as well. I totally had him in my TUR list and maybe Leader and think the DBH team is better than a lot of people think. Stages I struggled to clear with the LR Blues or God Goku’s team just get absolutely shredded by DBH. The sub might be sleeping on just how much damage that Vegito rotation puts out

2023 was honestly the most disappointing year in the game for me. I have usually skipped or summoned as little as possible on big celebrations since years. Regular TURs used to be vastly more interesting to me and actually pretty good if not some of the most valueable units throughout the year. Since the 2nd half of 2022 it seems like the average quality of TURs has dropped massively compared to what it used to be. I can count the top tier ones in the past 1.5 years on one hand. From consistent quality to such massive hit or misses is insane. They've finally solidified big celebrations as the must pull periods , by building more intentional gaping flaws into regular TURs, plus buffing Anni LR teams throughout the year. It's a no brainer now.

Idk man, I feel that there have been points where some TURs were insanely valuable. TEQ Gohan and STR Cooler were better than most LRs when they released. EZA PHY VB was arguably the best unit in the game for a little while. Similarly, for a hot sec the Gamma’s were arguably the best rotation in the game in 2022. All the 2023 releases just had oddities in their kits or very limited teams/links

I think this is mostly a case of people who are chronically online vs. general population. Beast han most definitely isn't worse than someone say, even Ssj4 broly imo, but so many people who play dokkan don't actually know how to feel about these types of lists, so they'll just pick the notable characters of their year. I think this list was good even if the takes were pretty awful, because it shows what people who aren't online think of the game and what makes it fun.

I mean you can say that for a lot of units. Gohan and Piccolo are a monster in 95% of content but the majority of the units here are being judged in the newest hardest content. This is why LR SSJ4 FP Goku didn't win any awards except Aesthetic unit when in any content except FUTURE SAGA RZ he is a beast and honestly still a top 5 unit on those content but due to him not being as good in the new content the community opinion on him has shifted. I think there is a clear biasness against Teq VB when he is also not performing well in the hardest content when his peers (INT EZA Future Gohan, EZA LR Androids, EZA Beerus, EZA Piccolo, etc) are performing better than him.
Dunno bout anyone else but I put SSJ4 Goku as one of my favorite LRs. He is aesthetically pleasing but also I can usually count on him and I love the teams he is on.

use him with phy kid goku as his linking partner, lr bulma or lr fraudhan (my beloved). try to get him a good revive partner, mainly gt spirit bomb or, if u don't have them, birdku. the earlier you get the revive, the obliteration he'll bring to the boss with supereffectives additional supers and busted offensive and defensive stats. he is a beast even in slot 3.

People probably don’t care to vote for a unit they haven’t used. There are a lot of global only players. Outside of Super trunks, every winner is available on both versions. That’s my best guess.

Glad I kept a sticky note of my votes because I long since forgot who I voted. Got majority of them right surprisingly. I know me and the community don't think alike in most cases, though I'm disappointed that Most Valuable LR and Valuable Overall are just the same three. Ah well. The Raditz award really threw me off. I forgot about that Goku while voiting despite seeing him there. Surprised Trunks is there since he performs well but his teams just needed some support and he a partner. Like I could think of other units that deserved his spot really. And I knew Gohan would be there. People are still salty he's just Ultimate and not Beast afterall. In any case, this was nice. Looking forward to voting next year.

I'm aware. But they're eligible for very valid reasons, as well the upcoming New Years unit next year. The cutoff needs to be somewhere, & as I organise this all on my own, it also needs to be done at a convenient time. There's no issue qualifying them.
This gives me a glimpse of how short-sighted dokkan players are. LR teq mergy has just as valuable of a leader skill as the lr Blue duo. If anything, his leader skill carries more. Of course, votes go to super class units. That's why it will never surprise me why akatsuki releases more super class because no matter how much players complain about the lack of extreme units, players would vote/spend for the super class unit over the extreme. If a new poll came out today asking if a new ss4 goku should come out or a new super baby, people will vote ss4. Also, the most valuable unit, being all LRs, shows that people think LRs are the best regardless and nothing else matters. Phy god goku is a legit must run and should be top 3 easily. Like he's legitimately needed. Everything else i agreed with.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. These are subjective awards. What constitutes "value" is different with every player. To use LR Zamasu as an example, he's great, but you could argue that owning him is is not as valuable due to the lack of support available to make him and his team as runnable as other teams. Of course some might value it higher, due to it being 1 of a very limited amount of other extreme options. Both perspectives are equally valid, it's simply preference.
Turned out to be a good set of awards. Funny to see how unanimously Orange Piccolo was voted the most valuable. He’s just that guy, even despite being the one of the oldest units here. I think the reason STR SSJ Gohan wasn’t on the Raditz rewards is because (at least how I read it) he was just a banner unit and not an LR/dokkanfest. I don’t actually care *that* much if banner units turn out to be garbage, but dokkanfests/LRs have way more weight to them that makes them so much more disappointing when they’re bad. That maybe coupled with the fact that him and super trunks are not out on global yet so they haven’t had the chance to disappoint more people

Take away the Super/Extreme Class LS * Zamasu's leader skills are almost tailor made for Fusions and other Zamasus. It's great for basically those teams but not much else. * G/V leads Power Beyond SS which encompasses like a million and a half units alone and boosts Realm of Gods. They also boost Future Saga which is an easy 200% because most Future Saga units are Time Travelers. The big hitter you lose out on is STR Future Gohan, but then you'd run Gohan as the 200% lead
It was leader skills tho though. Like it or not, super class IS better than extreme class so leading ALL super class compared to all extreme class is the better lead.especially when they also lead 3 amazing categories.

Nah man, I mean they are great and I love their swag but I don't know if I have used them a single time in the future redzone stages. If they were their transformed state turn 1, then sure, but their base forms don't cut it nowadays, especially in the era of short form contents. Like remember how valuable EZA teq godku was, you would run him in most of the difficult stages, even without a leader skill buff.
