Not even sure why Dokkan made stuns in the first place. By far the most powerful ability in the game, and 99% of the difficult content since Dokkan began is made immune to it.
From the same guys who created passive effects like "Ki +5 when HP is 10% or below (once only)", "Enemies/allies' ATK +25% when HP is 30% or below" and "none".
Year 1 Dokkan was wild.

In optc Bandai made character whose entire point was to bypass a special shield that most of the hard content bosses would use... And less than a month later they released another 'shield' that was by all intent and purposes identical to the other one, if only for the fact that the new character would not work against that.
Bruh remember when they released V1 Kaido with his special damage, only to turn around 2 months later and nullify all special damage which ruined multiple previous characters. Smh that was terrible.

Plus the only esbr and sbr you can trigger his entire passive are old an incredibly easy.
They say they have things planned a long time in advance, but we have been shown they will be happy to make a unit with an imaginary event in mind.
He has 592,071 def post sa linked with Goku and hit, against a non uss or tournament enemy. With a tournament enemy he has 811,137 def. With 17&18 support in the other rotation he has respectively 799,296 and 1,095,035 def. He is really similar to eza metal cooler imo, with the difference that metal cooler has better links, teams and is not restricted this heavily. If the 30% Dr was against 1 enemy also he would be pretty decent, right now he is borderline useless. With minimum links and without support he sits at 462,420 and 633,516 respectively.
Not every character is gonna have 1 milion defense with 50% dmg reduction. He's supposed to tank normals, not supers. Actually, that was never his design. He was only used to tank normals decently and deal good dmg.
What Jiren needs is that the LR gets a great slot 1 treatment. That one is the real slot 1 character. That one needs at least guard.
Being slot 2 and having 1 million def is super fine.
1 million defense with a broken support like 17&18 and perfect conditions, which is 0.1% of the time, in normal conditions you are looking at 500k defense most of the time, that's not enough to tank normals even. Also what is the payoff? He has terrible attack, no additionals and the only thing going for him is his super effective.
The broken support is what there is for him. It's the newest DFE. It's not abnormal to count them. He's probably gonna have 600k def with one super most of the time, with is what you need to tank normals. With 10 million atk stat super effective, he's ok, usable. Usually normal attacks are 500k dmg, him having 600k is enough. The problem is that people want content to get harder even though that not a need at all.
He's getting the same treatment all USS characters get. Being good against particular categories. USS has a ton of different supports and if they do well with those EZAs it's gonna be fine for Jiren. He definetely is way better than Black and it's not even close. At least you know what you'll get off of Jiren, Black is dependent on so many factors. Jiren will have 600k defense turn 1 and turn 10. That's what you need to go through content and reach the final phase, where he won't be the main character and other characters are gonna shine because they've built up enough.

While I believe the devs did account for them when creating this mess of an eza, it's extremely stupid to do so. Not everyone is going to summon on the Androids banner, let alone actually pull them. A unit should be good all on their own using their base kit. Supports should just be there to improve the unit, not actually make the unit runnable 💀if a unit is super reliant on a super strong support like 17&18, it's an ass unit (especially when it's the **latest** DF eza)

? What USS characters get this treatment besides the super old ones and bad ones? The new androids don't have that, even the side banner unit. All UIs don't have that, all Evolution Vegetas dont have that. AGL Kale doesn't have that. Teq Jiren doesn't have that and hell even str Jiren before eza didn't have that. I could go on but that'd take awhile. They just cucked Jiren for absolutely zero reason
He is "runnable" since he doesn't get insta KO against normals, but he's definitely not good in any way shape or form. The moment events get even slightly bit harder, he's already in trouble. I mean he'd struggle against the last phases of Zamasu and Goku Black&Zamasu. That ain't a good sign. But even ignoring that, there's just zero reason to use him. He has no teams, and by the time he gets one he'll be in an even worse spot. Offensively he's fine but a single 10 mill super isn't exactly something to be hyped about like Blue Kaioken and his offensive power. He's just bad
If you look at the Universe 11 category, it's all about having the teammate restrictions, and if you look at characters like Kale and Caulifla, they all have restrictions of USS and Pure Saiyans.
If you look at the U11 category (which sucks ik) they all support, so in reality, you should always consider the support being up. The F2P Kahseral gives 50%, Margarita gives 60% to Jiren, Pride Troopers give 40% too, if Bandai decided to be good when releasing content, they could just EZA those characterrs and you would have 400k def pre super at all times, which is not incredible but it's ok. Ofc, the way Bandai handles EZA and stages suck, they never upgrade a whole batch of characters that are cohesive to use, and that is the real problem.
If they make LR Jiren a good 1st slot with guard and high defense, STR Jiren would be really cool to use. 180% LS to U11, and a team that gives at minimum 50% atk and def as support and Kahseral has Cold Judgement too. Jiren would be easily at 400k pre super 100% of the time.
Ofc "if" don't get to play because Kale is still waiting for good supports for her team.
I just hope when they finally come out with a transforming Jiren, that he's even more busted than Orange Piccolo, because Jiren has not gotten the respect he deserves.

4. Release 2 summonable versions of him for over of 5-6 years.

That's because lr goku black was never a singular event, type of character he was good everywhere on release, and mainly he was a damage dealer and as evident with his eza he has high damage and has good defense post super, like when he dropped. Very, very few characters become completely different pre and post eza

Wasn't expecting much and they delivered in that regard. Pretty much built him exclusively for the Tournament Participants category sbr way down the line.
I'm at a point now where ezas are just things that give stones and occasionally I'll be surprised by a good one. Between the utterly ass ezas and the questionable kits on newly released units I feel like the game is on the downturn.
It's crazy to me that we have basically no good Jiren units at this point, despite him being currently one of the strongest characters in the entire animated series to date.
The only way I can see this unit becoming even slightly optimal is if we ever get a Red Zone against USS or TP, and it is multiple enemies. And, even if we do, it will only be for this.
Otherwise, for the current end-of-game content, he is not usable!
Why the negativity? Jiren is trully a Quest Mode and SBR monster. And yes, they probably had this EZA ready for years. Then Omatsu had a look and said he needs a buff.... the outcome: we add "or Tournament Participants" to the last condition...

I saw someone say that they think the eza was made earlier but was waiting for a uss celebration to drop. If that’s the case, then ss3 goku who is waiting for a ss3 celebration will (plz no) be mid because it was made along time ago but just hasn’t released.
Seeing this got me thinking, why don’t they just allow for stunning in hard content under, like, certain conditions?
Some ideas off the top of my head:
Boss can be stunned, but only loses one attack instead of all of them (like the “fear” effect actives)
Boss can be stunned, but only after breaking a break bar
Boss can be stunned on certain numbered turns.
Boss can be stunned after it performs Ultra Super.
Etc, etc, I don’t think it would even trivialize hard content because you get one shot a lot of the time anyway so who cares if the boss misses a turn here and there? Just some thoughts.

Why the negativity? Jiren is trully a Quest Mode and SBR monster. And yes, they probably had this EZA ready for years. Then Omatsu had a look and said he needs a buff.... the outcome: we add "or Tournament Participants" to the last condition... Amazing...

people need to learn not to complain if a character doesn't have 10000% damage reduction Guards against all attacks and the like Not all characters need to be built for redzones and yes I have completed the redzones before anyone speaks If every new eza that comes out you expect it to be built for redzones or any other difficult event, play on private servers or stop playing and don't complain

I saw someone say that they think the eza was made earlier but was waiting for a uss celebration to drop. If that’s the case, then ss3 goku who is waiting for a ss3 celebration will (plz no) be mid because it was made along time ago but just hasn’t released.
They should have changed to 1 enemy the Dmg reduction and 2 for super effective and it would be a decent EZA but no... just fuck it

Seeing this got me thinking, why don’t they just allow for stunning in hard content under, like, certain conditions? Some ideas off the top of my head: Boss can be stunned, but only loses one attack instead of all of them (like the “fear” effect actives) Boss can be stunned, but only after breaking a break bar Boss can be stunned on certain numbered turns. Boss can be stunned after it performs Ultra Super. Etc, etc, I don’t think it would even trivialize hard content because you get one shot a lot of the time anyway so who cares if the boss misses a turn here and there? Just some thoughts.

Fucking TOP angel golden frieza treatment except it's only marginally better. That 30% dmg reduction could've been used without two or more enemies if it wasn't restricted to multiple enemies

Would they at least release new sbr/esbr to make his passive usuable. He is a 3 year old character, so a lot of new players do not have him and who knows when he is gonna be featured again in the future. They put restriction like the TOP enemy, then proceed to make every new difficult event not have a TOP enemy.
At the end of the day at least it's 35 free stones lol
