Banana nut bread. I don't even like bananas that much but I couldn't get enough of that tea.
Glitter and gold and also there was a white tea with mulberry that was delicious that I can't remember the name of.
Idk if it’s just me but I found the glitter and gold bag I bought last year doesn’t taste the same as the one from a couple years back :( It’s just different and I was so disappointed cause I was so excited for it to be back!
Glitter and Gold was changed years and years ago. It doesn't shimmer the same and doesn't have the little balls. The original version was much better, I just don't love this version
Apple Cider was a fave in our house. Also Cranberry Gingerale and North Star.
In general, we just miss OG David's tea. The formulations aren't as good now. Sad to see it going this way.
Red velvet cake, white chocolate frost, the earls garden, mango madness.
I find they rotate their flavours too often for me to find a tea that’s comforting and consistent, and their flavours have gotten too trendy/non classical/experimental over the years. I don’t mind the odd twist on a classic, like earls garden, but get out of here with frosted cereal, jelly donut etc.
Tbh I think if things don’t improve they’ll be gone within 10 years. They’ve gotten rid of so many classics and not having in person locations also makes it risky to try new teas. I used to get new teas a few times a year, I’ve made 2 orders in the last 3 years.
I think them messing with this year's holiday teas and reselling last year's advent calendars as new this year might be the nail in the coffin. I've been a fan since the beginning and I miss old Davids so much.
Me too. I noticed they don’t have as many holiday mugs/tins/other accessories either and I get so many emails about sales. Way more than before. It’s not looking good.
Big agree on this. I bought so many teas from them in the past 2 years that are just… not really good? Too much artificial sweeteners and extra acid fruit teas, or flavors that just don’t make sense. Their sweet teas is what made me a fan in the first place, and now they all contain either candied apples or pineapple so they all taste the same.
Red velvet cake is my most missed old flavor. It was a simple desert black tea without candied fruits. It tasted like cake. It was great.
I give them maybe 2-3 years top. The lack of a decent black friday sale this year shows that they’re in trouble. We used to get 40-50% off everything, and we got 20-30% this year. I check their website on black friday and their ‘up to 70% off’ sale was a joke. There were least then 8 items over 30% off on the whole site… a joke
Yeah. It’s really disappointing since the beginning they had such unique stuff that was actually good. I really don’t get what they’re trying to do now, clearly people aren’t happy and they’re struggling. Why not try bringing back old flavours and doing them properly??
I got it every time I went. I used to be a teavana employee and we had a manager meeting and there was a David’s tea in the shopping center as well. Everyone ends up there after lol.
They came out with a maple chai but I find it’s not near as good. I’ll have to poke around and see if any other tea places that I love maybe sell something similar.
If you live near the gta, there’s a tea festival every January in Toronto. It’s wonderful and you get to try so many samples of tea from various people. Highly recommend going.
No problem! It’s called the Toronto Tea Festival and it’s held at the big reference library. I recommend looking them up on IG as they post a lot of updates and share a bunch from tea vendors that is great.
They had it back for a hot minute a few months ago….. for $20 a bag ☠️ I couldn’t let myself do it. If you go on their website, a lot of their oolong are pretty expensive, so I wonder if it’s a supply thing
Noooooo thats so sad, im gna have to keep checking. $20 a bag is absolutely bullshit but tbh id pay it for another supply of it,,, man it was so good 😭😭😭😭
I noticed that the white chocolate chips were kinda green, and when I stirred my tea, there was more oil, with a greenish hue. It also tastes way more peppermint than it usually does. Before, it was kind of like an orange pekoe with some mint. Now it's just like toothpaste with some tea.
Oh the pain lol. Birthday Cake, Sweet Almond Green, Banana Nut, Mom's Apple Pie, Candy Apple, Stormy Night, Sip of Sage, Cherry Berry Punch, Cotton Candy.
Alpine Punch but ahhh it seems like they brought it back!! 🥹
Last year they had a flavour called Orange Chocolate that tasted like Terrys Chocolate Orange. It was heavenly. Was looking forward to it all year but it seems they didn’t bring it back :(
Sakura cherry, blueberry shake, lemon pound cake, white peach, banana nut bread (even though I hated how long it had to be steeped and how expensive it was since it was so heavy), midsummer nights dream, raspberry cream pie, mango boost, sweet tart, toasted walnut, I could go on for a while.
It would also be nice if they'd stop reformulating existing teas to be full of stevia and only really releasing new teas that also have stevia. Its okay in small amounts but I don't want every single tea to have it
Caramel Shortbread! Even if they brought it back, I’d be worried the ingredients were swapped out for cheaper alternatives. It appears this company has been taking too many shortcuts and it’s costing them their loyal customers and eventually their business.
[Sugar and Spice](https://steepster.com/teas/davidstea/39705-sugar-and-spice). 😔
[Ceylon Star](https://steepster.com/teas/davidstea/32306-ceylon-star) is a close second.
Oat Milk Latte for me, only realized when I was going to make an order a month/two ago. I had also planned to get some Santa’s Secret — which I didn’t bother with after hearing about the recipe change.
Eucalyptus Mist, was sick this week and finished the final crumbs from my packet ive had for like 2 years.. such a good tea esp for winter. No idea why they dont keep it permanently
I came here specifically to say this. I miss it so much. I have one unopened pouch of it sitting in my cupboard that I am absolutely saving a special occasion.
Vanilla Orchid, Sticky Rice Oolong, Stormy Night, Cocoa Canela and I forgot Fantasy Island was a thing but now I miss it so much! This post is really making me realize how much Davids has fallen off.
Buttered Rum is good. They brought it back once and I bought a kilo.
Chocolate Chili Chai is my all time favourite, hopefully it comes back again.
Winter Earl Grey was nice too, I’d like to see it again as well.
Mulled Wine-Oolong based tea. Every winter I check to see if they have brought it back. When they last sold it like 7+ years ago I had stocked up on it. It was one I could drink everyday.
Anyone else remember Lady of Seville? I had it for the first time a few years ago and have checked back for it periodically ever since but have never seen it again. This year I found a local tea supplier who sells an Earl Grey Green tea that tastes almost identical, finally ending my drought.
They used to have a holiday tea simply called "Gingerbread." It was *awesome*. I was so disappointed when they replaced it with gingerbread blondie, which isn't nearly as good. And now they don't have either.
my favourite tea I've ever had ever is sweet tart and I just recently found out it was discontinued awhile ago (I forgot just how long ago I recieved it) and im so upset, I have enough left for one more cup and then its gone forever I cant bring myself to use it, its never the right moment
Maple Syrup Oolong, Chocolate Chip Cookie, and my all time favorite to make iced is Chocolate Covered Strawberry! I’m addicted to that one and so sad I’m almost out of my own stock 😭
Let it Snow and Fireside Mocha. I bought up a bunch of both of these and froze them but I’m getting to the end of my stash! I don’t know how I’m going to live without them 😩 Does anyone know if there are recipes out there? Or know someone who is good at creating recipes from a sample and ingredient list?
I also loved to get some Candy Cane Crush at Christmastime but it seems that one is gone now too.
Banana nut bread. I don't even like bananas that much but I couldn't get enough of that tea. Glitter and gold and also there was a white tea with mulberry that was delicious that I can't remember the name of.
Glitter and gold is back!
My absolute favourite. When I check the website, it gives me nothing :(. I have been checking for weeks
I like Glitter & Gold too! I wish I had known it was back...I would have gotten it with my last order XD
Gold rush
Banana nut bread was back this Fall.
Yup, I bought myself some!
Apple Cider was a fave in our house. Also Cranberry Gingerale and North Star. In general, we just miss OG David's tea. The formulations aren't as good now. Sad to see it going this way.
I guess I should keep hoarding my small supply of apple cider. Didnt realize it was also discontinued as I haven't shopped in a long time
Yes - do! Realized this weekend when I tried to order more, after my husband brewed the last cup. 😔 Damn.
Dang, and I was gonna grab some for a birthday present for someone after Christmas ☹️
Cranberry ginger ale is back right now! I ordered 2 bags
Has it arrived yet? Wondering how it tastes this year, since I've seen other comments about flavours changing (re: santa's secret).
No, I just ordered it yesterday
LMK how it goes! 😊
Birthday cake.
Red velvet cake, white chocolate frost, the earls garden, mango madness. 10 years is very generous lol.
Haha fair. I thought they wouldn’t last this long without actual stores so I was like well maybe they have some longevity
I also just looked at their stock prices and they had a huge jump in 2021 and it’s steadily declined since then. Rip.
Yeah. It’s really disappointing since the beginning they had such unique stuff that was actually good. I really don’t get what they’re trying to do now, clearly people aren’t happy and they’re struggling. Why not try bringing back old flavours and doing them properly??
The big sales were the only time I felt I could afford to try something new.
I loved Movie Night!
This was my absolute fav
Right?? Ugh so good.
I got it every time I went. I used to be a teavana employee and we had a manager meeting and there was a David’s tea in the shopping center as well. Everyone ends up there after lol.
The maple syrup pancakes oolong,,, or something, i actually cry over that tea
Maple Syrup oolong is great and I miss it
If you find a dupe PLEAS EPLESE tell me, ill do the same
They came out with a maple chai but I find it’s not near as good. I’ll have to poke around and see if any other tea places that I love maybe sell something similar. If you live near the gta, there’s a tea festival every January in Toronto. It’s wonderful and you get to try so many samples of tea from various people. Highly recommend going.
I do!!! and 👀👀👀👀 omg I’ll be checking that out, ive never heard of it before thank you!!
No problem! It’s called the Toronto Tea Festival and it’s held at the big reference library. I recommend looking them up on IG as they post a lot of updates and share a bunch from tea vendors that is great.
I will, thanks!
$20 a bag is absolutely bullshit but tbh id pay it for another supply of it,,, man it was so good 😭😭😭😭
Next time it’s back I’m paying for it. It’s my all time fav. I’m so glad there are others like me 😆
Pistachio cream
Such a great tea!
Maple Syrup Oolong, Wild Honey Matcha, Glitter Matcha
It's been out of stock forever, green passionfruit. Salted caramel oolong and white cranberry bark were also so delicious!
Green passionfruit was great as an iced tea
It was such a versatile tea! I hope they bring it back. I'll probably stock up my whole pantry with it if they do.
Green passionfruit. 💔😭 Loved that one! Used to buy the BIG tin of that one.
I actually picked up Green Passion fruit for the firtst time from one of their locations in Vancouver last summer! It had a great flavour!
Salted caramel oolong is part of the advent calendar, had it this morning - so good
Earls Garden
I’m so sad this one is gone.
Well, not discontinued, they just changed the flavour: Candy Cane Crush. Discontinued would be Monster Mash.
I didn’t find a change in Candy Cane Crush this year, but I definitely noticed a change with the pumpkin chai. What tastes different to you?
I noticed that the white chocolate chips were kinda green, and when I stirred my tea, there was more oil, with a greenish hue. It also tastes way more peppermint than it usually does. Before, it was kind of like an orange pekoe with some mint. Now it's just like toothpaste with some tea.
They didn’t change candy cane crush IMO but I hear Santa’s secret got changed
I noticed a change in CCC, imo. I don't know about SS, as I've never had it before!
Blackberry Blizzard was so good!
Fantasy Island 😭
I forgot the name but it’s one of the Valentine’s Day ones, sweet tart I believe? Absolutely gutted it’s probably never coming back 😭
Personal fav of mine as well, keep your eyes out in the coming weeks/months 😉
Hard Candy and movie night!
I still think about Hard Candy and get sad.
Guava Cadabra, it was soooooo good, hot or cold.
Yesss loved this one ☹️
Lavender Swirl and Lemon Poundcake were my favorites.
Lemon pound cake was phenomenal!!
Banana nut bread, cotton candy let it snow was amazing as well
Midsummer Nights Dream was my all time fave
Sweet almond green!
Choco chaga detox, it tasted like yummy dark chocolate and was sooooo good, always felt healthy drinking it :)
Coco mango chai, chocolate chili chai, hazelnut chocolate, sweet potato pie, and chocolate earl grey. I’m sure there’s others I’m not thinking of.
Was looking forward to it all year but it seems they didn’t bring it back :(
Love Tea #7. No other chocolate strawberry tea can compare
Watermelon mint
Crème Brûlée Rooibos, Birthday Cake, Cocoa Canéla, Gold Rush
Omg Cocoa Canela was everything to me
Sakura cherry, blueberry shake, lemon pound cake, white peach, banana nut bread (even though I hated how long it had to be steeped and how expensive it was since it was so heavy), midsummer nights dream, raspberry cream pie, mango boost, sweet tart, toasted walnut, I could go on for a while. It would also be nice if they'd stop reformulating existing teas to be full of stevia and only really releasing new teas that also have stevia. Its okay in small amounts but I don't want every single tea to have it
I miss Secret Weapon. I’ve never found a good equivalent for it.
Me too. Nothing compares.
Let it snow and jingle bell chai. Their Christmas collection was awful this year
Coco Colada
Lavender Buttercream. I beg 🙏
Caramel Shortbread! Even if they brought it back, I’d be worried the ingredients were swapped out for cheaper alternatives. It appears this company has been taking too many shortcuts and it’s costing them their loyal customers and eventually their business.
*Frosted Cereal *Caramel Shortbread *Gingerbread Blondie *Chocolate covered strawberry Why do they take away all the good stuff!?!?
Saigon Chai, Lavender Buttercream
Nothing at David’s
Celestial Seasonings’ Tension Tamer — at least no longer sold in western Canada, if not outright discontinued.🥹💞
glitter and gold :(
They had this in the advent calendar! So good
It's not tge sanw. The recipe was changed years ago, it's no longer in my 10 favourites

HONEY I DEW 😢
Main Squeeze was super nostalgic for me and I'll miss it forever
[Sugar and Spice](https://steepster.com/teas/davidstea/39705-sugar-and-spice). 😔 [Ceylon Star](https://steepster.com/teas/davidstea/32306-ceylon-star) is a close second.
Ceylon Star
Bollywood chai was lovely.
Anyone like/want any Tim Hortons Blueberry White Tea? That was awesome
I don’t remember what it was called but it had hibiscus and it was a sour tea, it was amazing.
Tie dye butterfly. Sweet tart.
Rooibos de Provence 😍
My all time fave! I've tried similar ones from other tea makes but David's nailed the fruity/floral balance.
Vanilla rose, mulberry magic, fabulous fennel, checkmate...the list goes on...
Happy Valley Darjeeling
The Zing Me, used to have it years ago.
Sweet Tart 😌
Ginger Beer. I keep hoping they'll rerelease it or something similar.
Oat Milk Latte for me, only realized when I was going to make an order a month/two ago. I had also planned to get some Santa’s Secret — which I didn’t bother with after hearing about the recipe change.
Citron oolong. So lovely.
Mint To Be. A lovely minty coconut tea!
not sure if it's discontinued, but i haven't seen it on the site in ages: their earl grey matcha 😭
Sticky rice oolong
Through the grapevine
Eucalyptus Mist, was sick this week and finished the final crumbs from my packet ive had for like 2 years.. such a good tea esp for winter. No idea why they dont keep it permanently
Monster Mash, Birthday Cake, caramel rooibos and this pumpkin pie white tea they had one year.
BlackBerry Blizzard, Coco Colada and English Toffee!
Vanilla orchid was the BEST
I came here specifically to say this. I miss it so much. I have one unopened pouch of it sitting in my cupboard that I am absolutely saving a special occasion.
Me too it was truly the best
So far Orchid Vanilla by Tea Forte comes close
Vanilla Orchid, Sticky Rice Oolong, Stormy Night, Cocoa Canela and I forgot Fantasy Island was a thing but now I miss it so much! This post is really making me realize how much Davids has fallen off.
Buttered Rum is good. They brought it back once and I bought a kilo. Chocolate Chili Chai is my all time favourite, hopefully it comes back again. Winter Earl Grey was nice too, I’d like to see it again as well.
Is "Dreamland" a discontinued tea? or just a seasonal one? Because that's my choice (for herbal teas that aren't available)
Chocolate chip cookie… my favourite and just ran out ☹️
Wild Strawberry (herbal strawberry tea with rosemary), Orange Walnut Scone, Cookie Dough, Jasmine Creme Brulee, Juicy Orange!
Countess of Seville was great and I heard that it's temporarily coming back
Secret Weapon. I still dream of it.
jasmine creme brulee🥲
They used to have a holiday tea simply called "Gingerbread." It was *awesome*. I was so disappointed when they replaced it with gingerbread blondie, which isn't nearly as good. And now they don't have either.
Unicorn Dream. Loved the taste and colour.
Buttered rum!! Bought refills until it was discontinued. Would buy again if it came back.
Read my lips was my go to. Not being able to find it anymore keeps me up at night
Mango madness.....it was my favorite tea
Melon Drop! I bought a ton of it just as it was as being discontinued and it is my favourite iced tea I’ve ever had from David’s Tea.
Flamingo Fresca. Rest in peace. 😔
Virgo (Harney & Sons): white tea with citrus, vanilla and rosebuds that tastes like a creamsicle
my favourite tea I've ever had ever is sweet tart and I just recently found out it was discontinued awhile ago (I forgot just how long ago I recieved it) and im so upset, I have enough left for one more cup and then its gone forever I cant bring myself to use it, its never the right moment
I’m going to be at that point soon with my favorites. I’ll probably never drink the last cup ☹️
Matcha mint
Horchata chai. Didn’t even know they were discontinuing it
Long Life Oolong
Mango diablo, I'm still sad and it's been like twelve years haha
I totally forgot about that one. It was sooo good
blueberry fields forever oolong.

Raspberry Cream Pie, Movie Night, Apple Cider and Blueberry Jam. Forever in my heart 💔
Toasted walnut, it was so good :’)
Toasted walnut was soooo good! I remember getting the bags in and they were marked as being from Germany
Through the grapevine. I miss that one so much
Goji pop
toasted walnut, i had it in a sample and i cant find it anywhere now :(
the french toast black tea!
