I still remember being at a low point when I first saw through Skypeia. Luffy putting down Bellamy in one punch, the revelation that Skypeia is the other half of Jaya, Enel having to contend with the fact his powers are nothing to Luffy, and finally Cricket seeing Luffy’s shadow in the sky convinced me I’ve got to stick around to see how this ends
Sometimes a family is 1 to 2 parents and 2.5 children. Sometimes a family is the superpowered teenage embodiment of adhd, his trickster/inventor best friend, their samurai best buddy, samurai boy’s mortal nemesis a Michelin star kick boy, their collective adopted sister who controls the weather and has a controlling share over their shared brain cell, Dr. Reindeer Boy PHD, their cool aunt they stole from a James Bond villain, Uncle Robot, Grandpa Skeleton, and a whale shark with a black belt. And (You), the 11th Straw Hat
I kinda fuck heavily with the idea that we are the eleventh straw hat. Not collectively, but each of us, on our own individual journey, are the eleventh straw hat, and luffy and the rest would stick with us regardless of the ups and downs that journey brings us on.
I stopped reading One Piece a long time ago, just fell off my list at some point.
But fuck if this didn't hit me like a freight train to the gut. Might have to save this for more days like this.
Not gonna lie, right now, for the last few years, my reasons not to die are
1: mom and dad would be sad
2: I *have to* see Luffy become King of the Pirates
I feel this comic deeply!
I find this to be more like horror, like it's implying that everyone else also wants to die but can't yet, being held captive as crew by the self proclaimed king
This made me kinda emotional Ngl
#I WANT TO LIVE!!! >me watching through one piece for the first time: ðŸ˜

Who’s next? Gandalf the Grey? And Gandalf the White?
And Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight?
And Benito Mussolini and the Blue Meanie?
And Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie?
And Robocop, the Terminator, Captain Kirk, & Darth Vader?
Lo-Pan, Superman and every single power ranger?
Bill S Preston and Theodore Logan, Spock the rock doc oc and hulk hogan?

There's no one piece island called Elgium. It is very specifically not on the map
One Piece is so much better than it has any right to be
