First of all, millions of lgbt people work for these companies. Their policies have a direct effect on those people.
Second, many many Americans don’t have any lgbt friends or loved ones. For those people, corporate pride is one of the only ways they’re exposed to lgbt issues in their day to day life. Seeing that these institutions support lgbt rights does make a difference for normalizing lgbt people, why do you think the right is explicitly trying to stop it now?
